A Night's Mistake: The Besotted CEO's Obsession

Chapter 18

Chapter 18

“When did you guys start dating?”

“Have you two don that thing?”

“Are you satisfied with his strength?”

Jasmine was gushing with excitement all by herself. leaving Cynthia absolutely no chance to interject.

Thankfully, David had rested up and chimed in remindingly, “Dear, take it easy. Don’t scare our granddaughter–in–law.”

Only then did Jasmine begrudgingly close her mouth, though her eyes still fixated on Cynthia, practically sparkling with curiosity.

That afternoon, the two seniors, one bustling to chat with Cynthia and the other eager to spar in some boxing, didn’t leave her a moment to herself. They were even more thrilled to see Cynthia than their own grandchildren.

When Liam came home from work k and spotted this harmonious scene, he couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow “When did you all get here?”

Upon seeing him, Jasmine quickly dropped her smile, feigning anger as she scolded, “You rascal, genting a wife and not telling us!” She made to tug at Liam’s ear

Liam, unable to contend with his childlike grandmother’s whims–an elegant lady from birth, spoiled by her husband–rushed to bring Cynthia, who stood dumbfounded nearby, into his arms.

Wanting to maintain a good impression in front of her granddaughter–in–law, Jasmine reluctantly let her hand drop. “I’ll let you off this time.

In Cynthia’s eyes, aside from being passionate in bed, Liam always seemed cold and serious. Given his status as the CEO of Sullivan Group, no one would dare act out around him. But Cynthia hadn’t expected how different he was from his family.

Sensing a secret delight, Cynthia pursed her lips to suppress her laughter.

Liam noticed and couldn’t resist pinching her smooth cheek affectionately, whispering, “No giggling allowed.

“But with Jasmine here, I couldn’t laugh out loud, retorted Cynthia. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Liam cracked a smile, bending down to say softly near Cynthia’s ear, Tl deal with you later

Nestled within Liam’s broad embrace, Cynthia was enveloped by his deep, woodsy scent. His shoulders were wide, and his muscles were perfectly defined–a physique straight out of a fashion magazine. Now he was speaking softly of sweet nothings; Cynthia’s skin where his breath grazed flushed a light pink.

The two elders tactfully shifted their attention elsewhere, leaving the young couple to their moment.

Dinnertime came, and Jasmine eyed Cynthia’s bare ring finger, teasing Liam, “Is the Sullivan family going broke!”

The table went silent, everyone puzzled by her comment.

Jasmine lifted Cynthia’s delicate yet noticeably bare hand.

Cynthia realized what she meant and quickly withdrew her hand, bowing her head shyly. “Jasmine, it’s not necessary.”

She thought, theirs was a temporary marriage, liable to end at any moment, so there was no need to incur extra expense.

Just then, she heard Liam’s deep, magnetic voice, I’ve got it”

Seeing that her grandson wasn’t that stubborn, Jasmine felt much relieved

After dinner, the older couple returned to the Sullivan residence. Cynthia retreated to her room, and Liam went to his study.

Cynthia noticed Liam seemed busy all the time, off to the office early in the morning and still occupied in his study till midnight. Many envied his social status, but only those close to him knew the hard work and self–control it took to maintain it.
