After the Divorce: From Heartbreak to Heiress Boss

Chapter 13

Chapter 13 Villa

Flipping through some papers, Quentin asked indifferently, "Who?"

Sharon responded, "It's Miss Wilson. You won't believe how well she's doing since the divorce. She just bought a hundred-thousand-dollar tie without even batting an eye. I used to worry that she'd struggle without you, but it looks like I was wrong."

He mused. "A tie? Why would Leah buy a tie? Is she buying it for some man?"

Quentin's gaze darkened as he stopped flipping through the documents. "And then what?"

With an exaggerated sigh, Sharon replied, "I had my eye on that tie, too. I wanted to buy it for you. But Miss Wilson wouldn't budge. Then Miss Wilson called the store's owner, and he spoke up for her, so she ended up buying the tie."

She paused, looking up at Quentin, and continued, "I heard from Maria that the store owner is really old. Could it be that Miss Wilson has lost herself after you both had divorced? She's still so young, and if she continues like this, her whole life could be ruined..."

Upon hearing this, Quentin couldn't help but recall when he saw Leah leaning affectionately against Ethan at the bar.

His expression grew even tenser, and his grip on the phone tightened involuntarily.

Quentin wasn't sure where this subtle unease came from. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

Nevertheless, he and Leah had already divorced. Quentin shouldn't be concerned about her anymore.

With that thought, Quentin gradually loosened his grip on the phone, and when he spoke again, his tone was remarkably calm, showing no hint of emotions at all.

He said, "We're already separated. What she does now has nothing to do with me anymore. So, please don't mention her to me again."

Sharon then secretly felt delighted and couldn't help but smirk faintly.

Having achieved her goal, she wisely decided not to press further. "Okay. I'll let you get back to your work. I'm on my way home now, so don't worry about me." "Alright," Quentin replied curtly, then promptly ended the call.

Even though he appeared relatively calm, his mind was in turmoil.

For some inexplicable reason, images of Leah being intimate with other men continued to haunt Quentin's mind, intensifying his unexplainable agitation and discomfort.

He then ended up unable to concentrate on his work any longer. Quentin frowned and walked out with long strides.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Leah returned home and handed the tie she had carefully selected to Ethan.

She smiled. "Ethan, this is a gift I specifically picked for you, a token of our successful project."

Ethan accepted the tie and gently ran his fingers over it. "Oh, Leah, you've become quite thoughtful. I'm truly touched."

"You've been so good to me. Of

course, I had to do something in return," Leah remarked. Seeing that Ethan hadn't put the tie on, she asked, "Ethan, why don't you try it on? What if it doesn't suit your taste?"

"There's no need for that. I trust your taste, Leah," Ethan replied, giving the tie another gentle touch. Then he looked up with a smile and said, " save it for the day when our company hosts a celebration dinner. Then you can personally help me put ifon."

"Ah, so that's what you had in mind." Leah patted her chest and said, "No problem. I promise to make you a splendid necktie for that day."

Ethan set the tie aside and took a key from the table, saying, "Your current workplace is quite far from home, and I know it can be a hassle for you to drive that far. Here, I'm giving you the eighth building in

Joylands. You can rest after

work, and on weekends, you can come back to join Mom and Dad for a meal."

She pondered, "The eighth building is the biggest villa in Joylands, and Ethan just gave it to me just like that. Family truly treats me the best."

"I'll take you up on that offer then. Thank you, Ethan," Leah said, feeling grateful.

Ethan smiled warmly. "I have another surprise for you. Guess what?"
