CHAPTER 10
Chapter 10
DIMITRI.
I was pissed to the core.
Hurt as I walked out of the ward. I could hear Nora calling out to me but I didn’t care to turn around, I didn’t even want to see her face.
Why did she say that to me!
I felt a pain in my heart at her statement and I still can’t wrap my head around the reason why I felt like this. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
I exited the hospital, walked into the parking lot, and got into the car.
My fingers vibrated out of fury and I bit my lower lip so hard
How dare Nora speak to me like that?
What right does she have?
Is it because I somehow care about her a lot?
Does she think I am a fool or a weakling she can speak to as she pleases?
Fuck this!” I hit the steering wheel hard, my heart pumping fast
She almost died.
Bleeding profusely!
She acted so careless and stupid! Why can’t she acknowledge her mistake? Why?
Suddenly, I heard a knock at the car window.
Startled, I looked up to find Collins staring right at me, he appeared worried.
I clicked my teeth and nonchalantly, I unwind the car window wondering why he followed me.
“Dimitri” he spoke out but I was quick to stop him.
“Enough Collins.” I raised my hand at him, my eyes fixed on the parking lot. “Not another word, I don’t want to speak and I need to clear my head. Go back into that ward and stay with her, she has clearly lost her mind and I don’t want her doing something stupid again. But for now, go be with her because I am not stepping my feet into that ward for as long as she is in there.
Speechless, Collins nodded, he walked away and headed back into the building.
That evening, Nora was discharged.
As we drove back to the pack, I could see her stare at me from the back seat but I didn’t look at her. Collins sat behind the wheel while I stayed in the passenger seat, my eyes fixed out of the window.
We got into the pack late at night.
I watched one of the maids assist Nora into our bedroom. I could see the pain in her eyes but I didn’t dare to show any

emotion as I walked behind them.
We got into the bedroom. The maid gently laid Norn on the bed
“Do you need to eat anything?” She asked Nora who shook her head.
“No, I am good. I ate at the hospital”
“Okay then but please ring the bell if you need any help. The maid spoke.
Nora nodded in affirmation and the maid walked out leaving us alone.
I could feel Nora’s gaze on me, her eyes were eating me raw,
I walked close to the bed, grabbed a pillow, and headed for the door.
“Dimitri.”
Silence.
“Dimitr
I ignored neither did I halt..
I grabbed the doorknob.
“Where are you going?” She implored in a weak tone.
“Won’t you sleep in here tonight? This is your bedroom” She pointed out, her voice was calm and tender.
I sighed.
“Good night.” I let out and not waiting for her to utter another word, I walked out of the room, shutting the door.
I was angry at myself.
My legs wanted to walk back into the room and let her know that everything was alright but I was too hurt to swallow my pride.
I didn’t want to care but I couldn’t help myself from thinking if was indeed overacting.
“No way!”
“She hurt me and if she doesn’t want to regard me as someone important in her life, then it’s best I give her the space she desires.
I headed for my private room and spent the night there.
For the next three days, I avoided Nora.
During breakfast at the royal dining. I could see the hungry look in her eyes as she looked at me but that gesture didn’t
move me.
I sat in the throne room, it was quiet, dead silence as I looked at the surprised faces of the elders and Collins.
“A war?” Collins questioned.

“That’s too sudden, brother Why do you want to send the so–called Alpha a war message? Why do you want to take over his pack?” Collins asked.
I smiled.
I glanced at the scroll in which the letter had been neatly written
“Give this to my messenger, he will send my message across to him.” I handed it to Collins who still appeared baffled.
“But..” he muttered, “Don’t you think you should think this through?”
My eyes narrowed as I watched him.
“Lycan.” One of the elders spoke up. “Your brother is right, it’s only been a few days since you got married to that werewolf. Sending a war message to the now Alpha of her pack seems like rushed decision to make.”
I got up, irritated by their disagreement.
“Do you think that we have any time to waste?” I snapped, not hiling my anger.
They were all silent.
“Speak up and don’t be mute!”
“How long do you all expect me to wait?”
-I made a promise to her and I must fulfill it and no one will stop me, I noted it strongly.
“Brother,” Collins spoke up.
“We are not against you but we think that this is being rushed. You have to think about this deeply knowing that our world. and that of the werewolves are different.”
I smirked.
“Different you say?” I raise a brow at him. “We both know the condition that I am in now. Everyone present in this room knows about the death curse that lingers around me, so strong that I can feel that I smell like a freaking corpse! I don’t have much time left to live, that’s if no solution is made to break this damn curse. I am dying, my days are numbered so I will do everything that I can to make sure Nora gets her pack back. The Derrick guy doesn’t know what is about to hit him. I am King of the Lycan and I will use my power to get this. If anyone of you here tries to stop me, I will have his head on a platter!”
They all shook their heads in silence.
“Good.” I sassed and walked out of the throne room.
I entered my private chamber and headed for the minibar.
I poured a wine into a glass and walked towards the open window, my gaze fixed on the open field.
Cassandra’s face flashed through me and I clenched my teeth hard.
You caused this!” I yelled.
“You brought this upon mel
I was fuming hard.
I need to break this curse.

I need to find this witch and more importantly, I need to help Nora.
Yes

Nora.
No matter how impossible she seems to be, my promise must be fulfilled as I never go back on my word.
I knew that I felt a spark between us, one that shouldn’t be noticed.
1 heaved a deep sigh and took another sip,
Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door.
I wasn’t expecting anyone so I was unsure of who that might be
“Come in.”
The door opened and to my surprise, Nora walked in.
My eyebrows furred.
“What are you doing here?”
She walked closer to me, her face overwhelmed with guilt.
I am sorry, Dimitri. I know that you mean the best for me, I shouldn’t have said that to you.”
My frown deepened.
She wore a pink dress and her long black hair was neatly brushed, her beautiful deep blue eyes didn’t leave me.
“I ask again Nora, what are you doing here?”
She glanced away, “I heard that you sent a letter to Derrick, I came here to thank you.”
I scoffed and looked away, turning my back at her.
“Leave,” I ordered.
“But…”
“Do not upset me Nora, get out, Now!”
“I am sorry, Dimitri.” her voice was hoarse.
I shut my eyes tightly as I couldn’t understand why I was sending her away knowing fully well that I wanted to speak to her.
“I need to be alone, Nora, leave!” I ordered strongly, panting heavily.
There was a sniff from her and I heard her walk out of the room, shutting the door.”
“Fuck!” I cursed out loud, threw the wine glass on the wall, and watched it smash into a
