Chapter 31
Donald’s viewpoint
She shook with cold and tried to contrive the kidnapper. i
held up her icy hand and slipped it into my pocket for a few moments. “Wait patiently in the car for me.”
“Donald……”
I approached the cops and briefed them on my situation. When I looked around, Trista was still shivering in the chilly wind. I instantly returned and inquired, “Why didn’t you go up?”
“I’ll be waiting for you.” She stated so, but she was looking at me eagerly. I’m sure she’s waiting to hear the outcome from me.
I reached inside her pocket and discovered that her hands remained cold. “If that happens again,” I tenderly grasped her small chilly hands and said, “I won’t let them go.”
“Are you ready to let them go?” Her eyes glowed brightly. “What about the person who is behind it?”
“The cops will find them and bring them to justice.”
“Great!”
When I saw her happy expression, I helplessly touched her head and murmured, “Get in the car.”
“Thank you very much, Mr. Donald. Thank you really a lot!”
“Do you have to address me by my whole name?”
“Uh…. thank you, Donald!”
Trista’s point of view
I drank a couple of sips of hot tea as I sat in the limo and asked, “Why did you come to help me?”
“Is there something wrong with saving the person I care about?” He responded quietly.
My face suddenly reddened.
“So…. Do you think I’m worth a billion dollars in your heart?” I inquired cautiously.
“There’s more to it.”
My face had become increasingly heated. For a while, I sat there quietly. When I realized the car was on the road, I yelled, “Donald, oh, no, Mr. Donald, please let me out at the next crossing.”
“It’s way too late. Where would you like to go?”
“Well, I guess I’ll stay in a motel.” As I previously stated, “We are not related or pals. We are constantly present in your home. Others will spread rumors about us!”
“Really?” “Then let’s make our relationship legal,” he murmured, raising his calm gaze.
“What?”
He immediately reached over, raised my face up with both hands, and kissed me on the lips tenderly.
Has he kissed me?
His eyelashes were barely covered, and his delicate brows were appealing. Even with his eyes closed, his features were incredibly appealing.
My mind blanked out. I felt like I was melting like ice cream as a result of his kiss.
I can feel his caring kiss, as though he said everything he needed to express in this way. How long had it been since he experienced such a powerful feeling?
“Master, and here we are.” Ira’s voice could be heard ahead.
I pulled Donald away, like if I had received an electric charge. My face felt scorching hot, and I reflexively bowed my head.
Donald’s viewpoint
I walked home after looking out the window.
When I saw her fleeing, I followed her.
“Mr. Donald, Miss Trista, good evening,” twenty servants said as they stood at the door.
“Hello, em.” Trista gave them a nod. “Why are you rushing so fast?” I grabbed her hand.
“I….” she tried to take it back, but I wouldn’t let her. She could only say, in hushed tones, “Allow me to go. Everyone is paying attention.”
I cocked my brow at her.
“You harmed me!”
I let go of her hand and turned to rest my hand on her shoulder. “In the future, prepare two meals per day. She will listen to everything she says from now on.”
When I saw her eyes wide open and her face bland, I couldn’t help but chuckle.
“You see her the same way you see me. Infringing on her is more serious than infringing on myself. Do you recall?” I examined all of the servants.
“Of course, master.”Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
After that, I leaned in slightly to gaze at her face for a few moments. “You’ve lost a few pounds. It will be my responsibility to fatten you up in the future.”
“Who is gaining weight?” Her cheeks were flushed, and she appeared cuter.
“Let’s get started. The kitchen is stocked with the delectable fare. I’ll accompany you there.” I took two steps forward and noticed her standing still. “What? Do you want me to carry you?”
“”Donald,” she replied hesitantly, “I really can’t stay here overnight…. Others will misinterpret our friendship…. Besides….”
“Do you no longer want the photos?”
I threw out bait, and she immediately reacted. “I’d like it!”
“Come on in.”
She caught up with me quickly, as predicted. “Wait for me, Mr. Donald!”
I grinned and took a leisurely stroll forward.
She ate the midnight snack and took a shower obediently as a result of my warning.
Trista’s point of view
I was in my pajamas and inquired when he would give me the photos. “It depends on my mood,” he replied flatly.
I sat on the bed in dissatisfaction after returning to the guest room. Did he really want to stay here for an extended period of time?
But I don’t appear to have any other options. I don’t have enough cash to last the rest of my life. My relatives mistook me for having been murdered by the kidnappers. They’d be on high alert if they found out I was still alive and planning to go back to fight for the inheritance.
The most essential thing for me right now is not to reclaim Grandpa’s group, but to obtain work so that I can support myself!
Borrowing money from my buddies is not a sensible move. I need to get a job so that I can support myself. I also need to research Bright Pearl so that I can grab before my family members recuperate!
After giving it some thought, I remembered Donald’s idea. Is it, however, truly suitable to work at his place? The Lions have a lot of talent. If I go there, I won’t cause him any problems, right?
But no jewelry design company is interested in me? The Lion group outperformed the other enterprises in relation to products!
The exquisite piano music rang out unexpectedly. When I arrived at the balcony, I noticed that many maids who were passing by had come to a halt.
“It is master who is playing the piano once more!”
“The music is breathtaking. I don’t want to leave every time I listen to it.”
I listened closely, and it was absolutely lovely.
The music abruptly ceased.
Donald had already walked out of the balcony before I noticed him. He was tall and dignified, dressed in a dark blue bathrobe.
I was drying my hair when he came out, and I was taken aback. He exuded an unachievable vibe…. From a distance, he appeared to be very pleasant.
Perhaps he didn’t expect me to show up. He glanced at me with dazzling, star-like eyes. “Come on in.”
“Me?”
“You’ve got five seconds, or -”
“What’s the problem?”
Why did she go to his room at such an odd hour? It would be dreadful if someone discovered it.
“Five….” he started counting down.
“Mr. Donald, no. Can’t we have a conversation here?”
Why do you have to discuss it in your room? What if they were discovered?
“Four….” he said as he took out his phone.
“No! Don’t put it on the internet! Wait! I didn’t refuse!” I’m not feeling like drying my hair. I dashed inside the room and quickly knocked on his door.
