Billionaire’s second wife

Chapter 8: Go To The Hospital

After taking the first step, Emma leisurely walked towards the super nice car, the wedding gift Alden had given her after returning home from her honeymoon. Driving a luxury car to her husband’s family’s private hospital. As she drove, she looked at her cell phone for news and realized that only Lily had contacted her to tell her what had happened. She didn’t expect her husband’s family to be loving but was surprised that none of them considered her Alden’s wife.

It really means to die. Emma gritted her teeth, whispering curses. Just wait and see, at some point, she completely commands Alden, which will drive each member of that family out of her life in turn. Now pretend to play the wife who loves her husband first.

At the hospital, she was taken to the floor where her husband was, and when she was about to enter the room, her brother-in-law took a few steps closer to the door.

“What do you think?” His brother Alden’s voice was certainly not friendly at all.

She had to roll her eyes at the person who had just appeared to stop her. Before Alden, Emma thought about targeting Gavin but quickly realized that he was suspicious and cautious. Smarter and saner than Alden, tried several times to no avail, so she decided to retreat for safety. Unexpectedly, then God gave her the opportunity to approach Alden.

“Brother-in-law, I came to see how my husband was.”

Emma gathered enough brazenness, and opened her voice reproachfully:

“You didn’t even call me to tell me Alden was in an accident.”

“Husband?” Gavin bluntly sarcastically: “Or your little puppet with an infinite pot of gold in it?”

“I know you don’t like me.” Emma said patiently, “But this is not the time to attack me. I’m here for Alden, he needs me. So please don’t cause more stress.”

With that, she stepped aside to avoid Gavin, but he wouldn’t allow her to invade Alden’s resting space.

“Gavin, what do you mean by that? Get out of my way.” She tried to stay calm as she asked. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

Gavin remained unmoved from his position.

Emma was about to break down and had to stop before the intervention of a third person.

“Are you here for Alden or for his money?”

A cold mother-in-law’s voice came from behind. She still didn’t stop pouting, gnawing at her.

Emma took a deep breath and swore that when Alden recovered, she would do whatever it took to move to another city, away from these wise men.

“My dear mother-in-law, you and Alden have been together for two years, when will you understand that I love him, as much as I love you?”

Emma’s voice was sweet, slightly sulkily justified.

Mrs. Agatha began to laugh mockingly, Emma was very angry with the two of you who always tried to destroy their good news.

“Sorry, but I will see my husband. Please, my mother, intervene.” She proudly announced.

“That’s not going to happen.” Alden’s mother informed her: “According to the marriage contract between the two of you. I, Alden’s mother, have full responsibility for my son’s life. Therefore, the wife has no decision-making power over my son, when he encounters anything. The special thing is, even if I marry you, Alden is still my responsibility.”

“That’s not fair, I’m a wife and my rights are guaranteed by law.”

Emma turned her back to her mother-in-law and tried to enter the room. A security guard stepped forward to pull her out, not letting her in.

“I am his wife.” She angrily shouted: “You have no right to prevent me from seeing my husband.”

“Mom, Gavin, please let me in to see Alden. I want to know how he’s doing.”

Oh crocodile tears, she performed a song that sounded so sad. Those who do not know will surely feel pity. Unfortunately, she chose the wrong person to play with. His mother is a retired Supreme Court judge, and Gavin is a prominent attorney. Let’s ask, who can easily surpass them?

She cried and begged, waiting to see if the audience applauded her or not. To her disappointment, no one cared about Emma messing around in Alden’s hospital room. Because here this area is restricted to unauthorized people. Helen’s family had reserved this place for Alden to rest.

Just act and humiliate yourself. Emma’s glory days are coming to an end.

Looking at her forever acting a fake face to boredom. Gavin clicked his tongue to call Emma’s attention.

“Listen well Emma, you signed a marriage contract where you waive the right to interfere if Alden has anything to do with it and many other things.”

What? Gavin has just revealed shocking information. Emma automatically stopped shedding tears, looking at him dumbfounded. When did the incident take place? Emma assumed this was a blatant lie, in order not to allow her to come near Alden. These people were afraid of her making him turn his back on them.

“What are you talking about? How is that possible?” She doubted and believed.

“It’s the truth.”

Gavin asserts, with a typical example sentence, that doesn’t sound good:

“If Alden doesn’t survive now, you have no business here.”

Gavin tried to stay as calm as he could, but remembering the video Alden sent, of the disgusting moment before the accident happened, he was still in shock. Gavin couldn’t believe Emma could be that kind of person worse than trash. Married less than two weeks. Unexpectedly, she revealed her true nature so quickly. True bad habits are hard to give up. After two years of knowing Alden, she must have struggled to hide her true self. It’s just way too aggressive. Doing debauchery in the couple’s own house.

“What do you mean?”

Emma pretended not to understand, demanding as best she could:

“What contract? Why is there such nonsense? I’m Alden’s wife. It’s natural to meddle in his affairs.”

Emma shouted indignantly, accusing Gavin.

“You have agreed to sign a pledge to give up your rights in order to marry Alden.”

Gavin calmly replied:

“And don’t forget I am Alden’s brother, and my rights and status are greater than yours.”

A lawyer said that who can argue. In all respects, Emma is far behind. Unable to fight with eggs, she made a habit of using Alden as a front to intimidate the opponent.

“I know you and my mother never approved of my relationship with Alden. But you know what, believe me, when Alden wakes up he’ll be angry because you prevented me from seeing him. And don’t blame me if Alden wants to stay away from me in the future. It’s your fault.”

Then she turned to the noble, most powerful mother-in-law in the tycoon circle:

“As for me, I will definitely make you lose your beloved son. Alden will definitely be on your side, against you.”

Emma screamed, rushing out of the hospital.
