CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
“What! You are going to live with him?” Mr. Aaron asked in shock.
“Yes, actually, he made me sign a contract, and he arranged the contract in a way I would not be able to respect,” I answered in a calm tone.
“How?” Mr. Aaron asked again.
“Mr. Gavriel said for me to get the job, I would have to sign a contract, and in that contract, it stated that I would get the job, work for Mr. Gavriel in his home, and be his submissive,” I said as I pursed my lips and clenched my fists into tight balls, and an ache started to dwell deep inside my heart.
“So he made that so you would have no other option than to sign it because you needed the job and of which you would sign, hmm, and now you are his slave,” Mr. Aaron said, and he sighed and shook his head in pity.
“Exactly, he is so wise,” I said with a fake smile and checked the time again only to see that I have spent almost an hour here as I remembered that I asked Nicole to come over.
‘Oh, my goodness, I almost forgot to invite Nicole over,’ I said to myself. “Mr. Aaron, I have to take my leave now,” I said.
I got out of the company and took a cab home.

I was on the elevator on my way to the garage. I needed to see Raymond because I did not see or hear from him until yesterday evening after he disappeared from the bar.
Then the elevator beeped, and I came out.
I watched as Aaron went to her, and I saw the tears that fell from her sparkling eyes.
Then I saw how he was talking to Christina Herbert, the lady who is currently my subordinate.
I could see him consoling her as she followed him into his office.
Why was Aaron so interested in Christina Herbert? I asked myself that because no human being was close to me.
Then I signed as I kept on going where I was going before I got interrupted by their presence.
I picked up the phone and dialed a number.
“Hello, sir,” the other caller replied. “Tell everyone to get out of that house before I get back, including the butler, send them to my father’s house.”
“Is that clear? And also ensure to be fast if you still love your job and cannot afford to lose it,” I ordered as I hung up immediately, not waiting to hear what the other caller had to say.
Then I moved straight to the garage, entered the car, and turned on the ignition key.
And boom, I zoomed off straight to Raymond’s house.
Normally I don’t like going to visit people uninvited, and I also would not want anyone to visit me uninvited too, so I picked up my phone and dialed Raymond’s number, and within the third and fourth rings, he picked up the call.
“Hey, Gavriel, bro, what’s up?” Raymond hailed and greeted from the other side of the phone.
“I am good, but I am so going to deal with you so badly that you would not expect it from me, and that’s because you left me behind at the bar yesterday,” Gavriel said as he wondered where Raymond went yesterday night after he ditched him at the bar.
Gavriel, calm down. You know I would not ditch you just like that. Raymond was still explaining when Gavriel interrupted him.
“Anyway, that is by the way, I am on my way to your house, so keep your ears alert, or would I say on the floor?” Gavriel said as he laughed.
“Okay, okay, I will be awaiting your arrival,” Raymond said as he hung up the phone.
Within thirty-five minutes, Gavriel was already in Raymond’s home.
Gavriel walked inside and saw Raymond playing a video game, but something else was odd in this house, he felt like someone was there.
“Did you bring a woman to your house?” Gavriel asked as Raymond turned around and saw his best friend already in his house.
“Bro, you are here already!” Raymond said.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
“Yes, I am here, but did you bring a woman to your house?” Gavriel asked again because it was unlike his best friend, it was unlike the Raymond he knows.
Raymond has not brought a woman home for almost two years now, and he is perceiving a female cologne in his best friend’s house after he ditched him and a bar.
“Yes, but it is not what you think it is. I did not bring a woman over to my house because I wanted to sleep with her, no! I slept with her, but I did not have sex with her, that was exactly what I was trying to explain to you earlier, I never intended to ditch you, and I did not ditch you for no reason,” Raymond explained.
“So?” Gavriel asked.
“The thing is that I have been stalking this woman for some time now, so yesterday at the bar I saw her, actually she was there with her friend, I think so, and the both of them were drinking.”
“I will just say that she ran out and I followed her because I sensed that she was drunk. Could you believe that she was almost beaten up but even in her drunk state she fought for herself, well at last she fainted, for which I had to bring her to my house,” Raymond explained.
“The worst thing was that when I woke up, I could not find her, she just left a note behind,” Raymond added.
Gavriel turned as he saw red spots on Raymond’s face.
“Ray, where are you beat up?” “What are those red marks on your face?” Gavriel asked as Raymond touched his face.
“Oh, the marks have not left yet, well, the young lady beat me up,” Raymond said as he looked down at his feet like a child.
“What? A woman beat you up, and you brought her to your house?” Gavriel asked.
“Well, I had no other option. As I said, I have been stalking her for some time now, and that opportunity was the greatest of all, and I had to make my first move toward her, and that was the right thing to do.” Raymond defended himself immediately.
“Well, I think I need to tell Ivy about your latest change, at least her mind will calm down a bit before she gets a heart attack just because she wants you to get another woman,” Gavriel said as he stretched forth his hand to punch Raymond.
“Well, you do not have to tell her, I will tell your sister about my latest change myself, okay?” Raymond said it bluntly as he dodged Gavriel’s punch.
“No, I will tell her myself, like you said, Ivy is my sister, so I will tell her,” Gavriel insisted as they both kept on arguing like children.
Gavriel always acted like this when he was with Raymond, but when he was outside, he was known as the Devil, whom God had cast down from heaven.
