Chapter 12 Her Familiar Face
Evelyn POV
I froze on my spot, as I behold his super cute…, no! His beautiful face. Have you ever seen a beautiful man? I doubt. In my entire life, I’ve never met someone as cute as this. Even if he isn’t anywhere close to me, his beauty still radiates, and I could feel the effect of it on me.
“Excuse me ma’am, let’s go.” Henry’s voice brought me back to reality.NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.
Turning my head towards his direction, I found him already holding the car door opened for me. I looked back to see the Mr handsome, but he isn’t anywhere to be found. Huh? Did he disappear? Did he disappeared? Letting out a small sigh, I went to hop in the car, before we finally left the compound, to the God forsaken company, that decided for me not to rest, after a long trip from Paris down here.
“Did you arranged everything in the car?” I asked Henry, not sparing him a glance, as my gaze was strictly on the screen of my phone, checking my schedule for the day.
“Yes ma’am.” He replied.
The journey continued for a few more minutes, before the car finally pulled over at the parking lot of a very big and beautiful company. The exterior view is something worth attention. Without waiting for Henry to come get the door for me, I opened it, and stepped out, then adjusted my big sunglass, which was laying neatly and beautifully on my eyes.
Henry opened the booth and brought out a bag, before swinging it over his shoulder, after which he walked over to me, as we both made our way to the entrance door, which has a patio door. Getting close to the door, it swung open by itself, and without waiting for anymore seconds, we made our way in.
Stepping into the very big company, we were welcomed with the most beautiful interior view. Walking over to the reception, we were welcomed by a beautiful lady, who seemed to be the receptionist.
“Hi!” I greeted simply, as I stood behind the counter.
“Hi miss, how may I help you please?” She asked politely.
I glared at her angrily, as I fumer in anger, how dare she ask me such stupid question? I have an appointment with this damn company, and this idiot is here, trying to piss me off? Didn’t his manager or who so ever he is, tell her about my coming here?
“Excuse me maa…”
“Oh shut up please! Where is your manager?” I yelled angrily, glaring at her. I have anger issues, and I’ve been trying to resolve it, but it only seem to get worsen, each time I try to control it. You would get angry if you’re in my shoes, right? Like they called me to come do ad for them, and herr this idiot is, questioning my identity, and how she help me. What!
“I’m sorry ma’am. This way.” She quickly apologized, before leaving the counter, and walking to a particular direction, while we just followed behind.
She got to the elevator, and pressed the button, and the door rolled opened, before we all entered, as the door rolled closed again. She pressed five on the elevator, and in less than a minute, the elevator stopped walking, as the door rolled opened, before we all stepped out, going to God knows where.
She stopped in front of a door, and placed a knock on it, as we were ushered in.
“Miss Javier.” A smile crept on his face, as soon as I entered. He stood up, and extended his hand forward for an handshake.
“Hi Mr Joe.” I smiled widely at him, before retracting my hand from his.
“Please sit.” He beckoned on me, before turning to Henry, and exchanging pleasantries with him.
Dropping my handbag on the table, I took a seat opposite him.
“So, how was your trip? Heard you came back a couple of hours ago, you must really be tired. I’m sorry, I would’ve postponed this if I have the power to, but I’m handicapped, I’m very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you. I promise not to take much of your time, we’ll be snappy with everything, so you can go back home and get a rest.” He kept talking.
“Sure.” I replied simply, getting tired and irritated by his nonstop talking. He should just shut up, and let’s get down to business, that’s what I’m here for, and not for some nonsense talk or something.
“The make-up artist will join you soon. Please let’s go to the company’s studio now.” He said with a grin on his face. Can’t he do without smiling all the time? What’s so exciting about this whole thing?
“Sure.” I flashed as smile, as I stood up and adjusted my skirt, then picked up my bag, before walking behind him, as he led us out of his office, with Henry trailing behind me.
We finally got to a door, which I assumed to be the studio, and opening the door, my curiosity was satisfied, as we were welcomed with a breathtaking studio, with everything perfectly arranged to my taste.
There were like five people present, along with the cameraman.
“Hello guys, attention please.” Mr Joe called their attentions, as they all turned to face him, with their rapt attention.
“So, this is our model, the one that will be running the ad for our magazine. She’s miss Evelyn Javier, and his manager, Mr Henry Ford.” He introduced us to them.
“Hi miss Eve, you’re welcome to our company. I’m Asher Cruz.” A blue haired guy smiled widely at me, before turning to Henry, and shook hands with him.
“I’m Levi Harper, you’re welcome to join us.” Another green eyes guy smiled at us.
“Lemuel Jackson, the director here. You’re welcomed to work with us, and I must confess, you’re really a beauty.” He smiled widely at me.
“Thank you.” I flashed him smile, and maintained a straight face again. After all the introduction, the manager got a call, and told me that the make-up artist is finally around.
“Shall we?” Mr Joe smiled at me.
“Sure. I’ll be back.” I said to Henry, before walking away with the manager.
He led me to their dressing room, but there wasn’t anyone around.
“Where’s she?” I asked, after looking around.
“Hello ma’am.” I the sound of a clicking heeled shoes behind me, followed by a sweet feminine voice.
Turning around to see where the voice was coming from, I was welcomed with a pair of blue eyes, looking at me, with a smile plastered on her face. I think I know this face… I’ve seen it somewhere before…
