Business Tycoon Pursues His Wife Wholeheartedly

Chapter 3 Mr. Miller will not see you

Fifteen minutes later, the police station.

Cindy finished taking her statement and sat in her chair without glory. She had waited for Eric for two hours, but he didn’t show up. What did show up was Eric’s attorney.

The lawyer put down his briefcase, sat down opposite her, and handed Cindy a few documents, “Miss Scott, Mr. Miller said that as long as Miss Scott is willing to sign this divorce agreement immediately, he will give you the apartment in North Lake Hill.”

His attitude was mild, but it also carried a professional indifference.

The ‘divorce agreement’ in big letters on the document stung Cindy’s eyes.

She abruptly laughed. He was really impatient.

Seeing that she was slow to move her pen, the lawyer pulled out several more documents from the file packet and handed them to Cindy, “This is the breakdown of Mr. Miller and Miss Cindy’s personal property. The two of you do not have any joint property. The apartment in North Lake Hill was given to you entirely out of Mr. Miller’s personal affection.”

“In addition, this is a division of equity done by Mr. Miller a year ago, and the debt situation of Scott Group belongs entirely to Miss Scott and does not belong to either spouse. The Miller Group is not jointly and severally liable.”

The lawyer took a series of information, shares, properties, and credit cards and stated them clearly and unambiguously.

Cindy’s heart suddenly went cold. She finally realized that it was all Eric’s premeditation, his careful planning. He had calculated so well, so thoroughly.

He could have planned every step without missing a beat.

Indeed, he was smart, otherwise, his father would not have seen his ability and made him her husband two years ago.

At a young age, he created the Miller group, which became the leading industry in New York.

Father chose a genius for Cindy. He was young and handsome, along with guts and amazing business acumen. He created his own business empire within a few years from his bankrupt family and was able to pull out of the bankruptcy of the Scott Group and go it alone.

Eric’s mind scares Cindy and leaves her cold.

He even gave Cindy a death sentence without having to personally appear for the divorce. Cindy is powerless to struggle.

Cindy clenched her fist to force herself to calm down and put the information on the table, “Where is Eric?”

“Mr. Miller has been busy with his fiancée’s wedding dress fitting recently. He explained that I am the sole agent for all divorce matters. You can talk to me if you have any questions.”

“I just want to see Eric once, I cannot even want the apartment, I just want to see her once.” Cindy looked up at the young lawyer who was speaking in a steady voice across the table.

The lawyer repeated, still with a slogan, “I’m sorry Miss Scott, Mr. Miller is not going to see you.”

“Huh.”

Cindy sneered, as if everything was expected, she closed the document and pinched her palm deeply, “Then I will never sign this divorce agreement. As long as he dares to marry Linda, then I will prosecute him for bigamy.”

“Miss Scott!”

The lawyer wanted to further persuade Cindy, but looking at the sadness and steadfastness in Cindy’s eyes made him unable to say anything.

“Eric wouldn’t marry Linda in any way, right?” Cindy raised her eyes coldly, “So, where the hell is he now?”

The lawyer weighed the situation and then told the truth, “Mr. Miller is meeting with the president of Havana Real Estate at the Augusta Club tonight at 7:00 p. m. Miss Scott, when Mr. Miller’s business meeting is over, I’ll make arrangements for you to…”

“No,” Cindy interrupted coldly, “there are some things that only the two of us can solve.”
