Chapter 1157
Dawn broke over the city.
Rosalie slowly opened her eyes, feeling a little woozy. She turned around to glance at the clock, and saw that it was six and a half in the morning.
Suddenly, she recalled something and immediately sat up on the bed. She rubbed her eyes, threw off the sheets, and got out of bed. When she arrived at the living room, she saw her baby lying on the couch, his two hands waving in the air. She hurriedly approached him. "Darling."
Just then, Theodore walked out of the kitchen. "Rose, you're awake."
Rosalie looked up to see Theodore donning an apron. "Did...did you not leave the entire night?"
"The baby refused to fall asleep so I stayed on. He slept a little when the sky started turning bright. Seems like he's awake again now."
"Why didn't you wake me up?" She didn't expect him to stay through the night.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"You were so sound asleep, why would I wake you up? You're really tired, too. Go sleep a while longer. I'll call you up when breakfast is ready. Don't worry about the baby, he's very obedient. I've also just fed him milk and changed his diaper."
Rosalie carried Steve in her arms. "Theo, were you awake the entire night?"
"I'm fine. I got a short nap, don't worry about me."
"How about this? Go take a nap and I'll prepare breakfast. I'll call you when it's ready. It's still early, anyway. You can rest for about an hour."
"It's fine, I'm already halfway through preparing breakfast." With that, Theodore stepped back into the kitchen.
Rosalie wanted to call him, but he shut the kitchen door. She had no choice but to carry the baby back to the room.
"Stevie, what's wrong? Are you bent on making things difficult for Theo?"
Steve giggled, a cheeky glint flashing past his eyes.
Rosalie laughed helplessly. She would never bear to do anything to her darling son.
She put Steve in the cot, which had some toys in it. Rosalie gently waved a toy in front of Steve who smiled gleefully at the shaking toy. "Darling, stay here for a while. Mommy needs to go wash up."
With that, Rosalie headed to the washroom. After about ten minutes, she walked out of the washroom to see Steve lying in his cot quietly. She then went to Justin's room.
He was still sound asleep; she carefully felt his forehead, heaving a sigh of relief when she found that his temperature had subsided.
Then, she eagerly headed to the kitchen to ask Theodore who was still busy, "Can I help?"
"No need, it's almost ready. Wait for a while more and breakfast will be done."
Rosalie scratched her head, feeling slightly conflicted.
"You're still here today after all I've said to you last night. You're even making me breakfast. Don't you feel angry at all? You should be keeping your distance from me and ignoring me"
Theodore scooped some eggs onto a plate before pan-frying some bacon.
"Why aren't you talking?" Rosalie asked, standing behind him.
"You said it yourself. I should be ignoring you, so I'm keeping silent now."
Rosalie sighed helplessly and turned to leave, saying nothing further.
When it was slightly past seven in the morning, breakfast was ready The room was filled with the tempting fragrance of freshly
prepared food.
Rosalie was about to plate some food for Justin when he opened the door to his room and stumbled out.
