Chapter 1161
"What are you talking about?" Aurora looked frightened. "You're hurting me! Let me go!"
"Explain yourself! What did you mean by what you said earlier?" Rosalie demanded.
She sensed something fishy about Rebecca's falling incident, and now, she accidentally overheard Aurora and Angie's conversation. They sounded relieved at Rebecca's death. Did they cause Rebecca to tumble down the stairs?
"We didn't say anything! We were just chatting earlier. You might have misunderstood us," Aurora said softly and innocently. "Let me go first and we can talk things through, okay?"
"Exactly. We can always talk things through. Why are you so agitated?" Angie chimed in.
"Me, agitated? You two were behaving so suspiciously, like you have guilty consciences! I heard everything you two said earlier! You two caused Grandma to fall down the stairs, right?" Rosalie yelled.
Everyone looked their way.
Aurora's face turned pale with shock. "Don't go around slandering others! What does Grandma falling down the stairs have to do with us? Don't vent your frustrations on us just because you're overwhelmed with grief!"
"Exactly! How could you be like this?" Angie said furiously. "Quit trying to defame us and slander us for something we didn't do!"
"Rose." Theodore handed Steve to Wesley for a while before approaching Rosalie. He pulled the three ladies aside. "What exactly is going on?" Rosalie pointed a finger at Aurora and Angie.
"They said that something is finally over now that the old woman has been buried, and that they finally feel relieved that no one will expose them! They said that almost word-for-word. They must have had something to do with Grandma's death!"
Rosalie was heartbroken over Rebecca's death; now that she had found the culprits, she was losing control over her emotions.NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.
"You heard us wrongly!" Aurora
exclaimed, hiding behind Theodore.

"We were talking about Madam Jarvis' funeral being over. When I said I was relieved, I meant that everyone can now recover from their grief. You probably misheard me because you were overwhelmed with grief. I can understand how you feel. It's fine. Just have a good rest, and you'll be better in no time."
"Hah," Rosalie chuckled. "I know very well what I heard. You two are just trying to change your words. How despicable!"
"We really aren't," Aurora cried.
"Rose, you've misunderstood us. How could we possibly do

something so wicked? We have no motive to hurt Madam Jarvis, either. I can understand that you're, heartbroken, but you can't just stander us like this."
Everyone else didn't understand what was going on.
Just then, Sebastian stepped forward. "Rose will never slander another. I trust her."
"I trust Rose too," Yerick said as he stepped forward. "She'd never talk nonsense."
"This has nothing to do with you two!" Theodore snapped, irritated. "Step aside! This is the Spencer family's affair."
"Since it's a family affair, what are these two women doing here?" Rosalie pointed at Aurora. "She's hiding behind you. Are you defending her?" "I'm not, Rose. Grandma's being buried today. Let's talk when we head back. I'll get to the bottom of the matter," Theodore argued.
"You won't!" Rosalie exclaimed. "You'll just keep speaking up for her when we head back. Your Aurora will never do something like this. You've said that so many times!"
