Chapter 3
“So, are you still going to work there?” Kim asked.
“Yes, I need the job. And he said waitresses don’t do the lap dances, just the strippers.” Raine explained.
“Just don’t shit where you eat. That has bad idea written all over it. But damn is he hot!!” Kim stated.
“I know. I’m so screwed.” Raine said.
“But what a way to be screwed!” Sam laughed.
“Ya know, sometimes I can’t believe you’re a nurse!” Raine laughed.
Friday finally arrived and Raine was nervous. She dressed in a black tank and cut off blue jean shorts. Sam and Kim were in her room. They couldn’t agree on her clothing.
“You look sexy.” Sam replied.
“No, I don’t.” Raine retorted.
“You’re showing enough skin for good tips, but still decently covered. And we’ll be close by in case you need back up.” Kim replied.
“Yeah, we got your back.” Sam agreed.
Raine left for the bar. When she got there the guy at the door let her in and explained where the office was. Raine went to the office and knocked on the door.
“Enter.” Jax bellowed.
“You have paperwork for me?” Raine asked as she walked in.
“Take a seat. I need your driver’s license and social security card. And these papers filled out.” Jax explained.
Raine filled out the paperwork and handed him her driver’s license and social security card. Jax made a copy, handed them back to her, and put all her paperwork in a file folder.
“So now I guess you show we where everything is? We have 45 minutes until everyone arrives for set up.” Raine asked.
“I can think of a few other things I’d rather do in 45 minutes.” Jax smirked.
“I’m not fucking you.” Raine retorted.
“Shame. But soon. Patience is not something I have a lot of. But I’ll play along, for now.” Jax laughed.
“I’m not playing any games.” Raine warned.
“So, tell me why do you want to work here?” Jax asked.
“I want to own my own club someday.” Raine explained.
“Why?” Jax asked.
“I majored in business management and took finance classes. I also took a semester of business law.” Raine replied.
“No, I mean why a club?” Jax asked again.
“Why not?” Raine replied.
“Why a club?” Jax was losing patience.
Raine sighed. “I get bored easy. I like fast-paced things. Any normal business would bore me to tears and I’d eventually end up hating my job.”
“But how did you decide on a club?” Jax asked.
“When I was 16, me and my friends got fake Id’s and a couple guys got us in a club. It was the most exciting and fun thing I’ve ever done.” She explained.
“It was a exciting, and I enjoyed it a lot. I thought right then if I had a job there, I’d never get bored and it would never seem like a job.” Raine explained.
“But there’s a lot of hard work involved. It’s not all fun and excitement.” Jax warned.
“Yes, i realized that when I started working in bars and clubs. But it still didn’t change my mind. I quickly found out I enjoyed the hard work because it kept my mind busy as well as my body.” Raine replied.
“Let’s go show you around.” Jax stated.
“This is the stockroom, paper supplies, and everything that’s not alcohol are here. Everything that is alcohol is in the back-storage room.” He explained.
“It has an outside entrance which makes deliveries easier. Make sure that door is locked at all times. The supply room is always unlocked, but keep an eye out cause some like to use it for a fuck room.” Jax explained.
“What if I catch someone in here?” Raine asked.
“If it’s a brother, nothing and feel free to watch. If it’s anyone else, then tell one of the officers immediately. But do not handle it yourself!” Jax warned.
“Brothers? Officers?” Raine asked.
“A brother will have his cut on with the club name. The officers will have a title above their name. I introduced some of them the other night.” Jax explained.
“Ice, Blade, Steele, and Hunter?” Raine asked.
“Good memory. There’s also I. T. our tech support, and MD the bartender.” Jax replied.
“How about Smokey and Cowboy?” Raine asked.
“They’re just brothers.” Jax replied.
“Brothers because they are members of the MC and not blood brothers, right?” Raine asked.
“I knew you were smart.” Jax laughed.
“I read a lot.” Raine smiled.
“Hmm, what ya been reading?” Jax asked.
Raine’s face turned red. She had no intention of telling him. He looked at her for a response. But when she refused to answer, he turned towards the door.
“Let’s go to the bar so you can learn your way around.” He laughed.
“Ok.” Raine replied.
Jax stopped in the doorway holding it open for her. She had no choice but to squeeze by him to get through the door.
As she did, he pressed her against the frame of the doorway. Once hand trailed up her thigh to the hem of her shorts. The other softly went up her upper arm to just beside her breast.
Raine’s heart was beating so hard she knew he had to feel it, being so close to her. She started feeling heat rising between her legs and a tingling in her body at his touch.
“I like how you’re dressed. Just enough skin, but not enough to be slutty. Sluts are a dime a dozen. And you aren’t one of them. And just remember, no man other than me is seeing your tits or ass. So, remember that when dressing to work here.” Jax warned.
He dropped his hands and slid past her. Jax walked towards the bar. Raine watched him go. She didn’t believe what just happened. She’d never met someone like him before.
“Oh God I am totally screwed.” Raine whispered to herself.
“Comin?” Jax smirked.
Almost she thought. “On my way.” She replied.
He showed Raine everything behind the bar. She spent the rest of her time making sure everything was stocked and ready.
Then focused on learning where the liquors were. She then checked the glasses were stocked, and got a few clean rags ready for clean up.
“Hey newbie.” MD smiled as he walked behind the bar.
“What’s MD stand for?” Raine asked.
“Mad Dawg.” He replied.
“Why?” She asked.
“When I get angry, I foam at the mouth as I rip the other guy to pieces. I grab a hold and shake my head like a wild dog does when he’s trying to destroy something.” He laughed.
Raine looked at him shocked. Not sure if he’s joking or serious. Jax came up behind him and slapped him on the back of his head. He rubbed his head.
“Quit lying to the lady. He’s called MD cause it’s his weakness. Just give him some MD and he’ll follow you around like a puppy!” Jax laughed.
“Come on Prez, you’re gonna kill my rep. How’s she gonna be scared of me now?” MD asked.
“MD you got too much of a baby face to scare anyone.” Jax replied.
“Raine tonight you stay behind the bar. We got another charter coming by.” Jax ordered.
“Ok?” Raine asked.
“Let’s just say I don’t want to spend the night beating the shit out of the guys that touch you.” Jax retorted.
“I can protect myself.” Raine retorted.
“Maybe, maybe not, I’m not chancing it. If one of them touches you, I know I won’t be able to control myself.” Jax turned and went to his office. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Raine is shocked at what he just told her. The strippers come in and suddenly Raine felt overdressed. The night went well. The officers claimed seats at the bar.
Raine saw it for what it was. They were protecting her from the guys visiting. They looked like a rough bunch of bikers too. Not as clean cut as her bikers. Wait, what? Crap, they are not “her” bikers.
Get a grip girl! She thought. Finally, the bar closed, and she worked on clean up. She had gathered all the trash from behind the bar.
Raine asked MD where to take the trash. He motioned to the back hall. She grabbed what she could and was walking to the back door where the dumpster was.
