His Outstanding Looks

“Ouch” Gina winced with a hand pressed on her forehead. Her vision was blurred for a second, her head muddled from the sudden action. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

After breaking out of her shock, the figure had already strode past her, and when she glanced back, he was now facing the mirror and undoing his necktie.

‘Oh, my God’ She stood transfixed and suddenly felt awkward. The anxiety she thought she had forgotten, returning tenfold. Not because of the fears that she had that she might be married to an old man or worse than that, but because he was way too handsome, surpassing her expectations.

Gina could not help but gawk at him for a second, as he swiftly undo his necktie. His attention was on the mirror and even though she could only see his side profile, his face had no warmth, and the suppressing aura coming from him made her cowered back subconsciously.

Just when she thought he would continue ignoring her, a deep voice resonated in the room.

“Why are you still standing there?”

“Huh?” Gina gave him a confused look.

Adrian turned to her, his gaze sizing her up again. “I can see that you’re already prepared. However, I’m not in the mood.”

“W… What are you talking about?” Gina could not discern the meaning behind his words, and she took another step back under his scrutinizing gaze. “I… I can’t find anything to wear…”

Adrian’s brows furrowed. “This is not your room,” he said, then walked away.

Gina had also guessed that. “But why are there female cosmetics on the mirror.” She couldn’t help but blurt out.

“Not your business.” Adrian paused in his footsteps, his back facing her, before entering the bathroom.

Gina stood transfixed and sighed. Hoping she hadn’t gotten into anything bigger than she thought.

She gathered the wedding gown which she had folded earlier on the couch, picked up the bouquet, and hurried out of the room, as she could hear the water running in the bathroom.

On her way to the other side of the stairs, her thoughts wandered back to the guy.

Judging from his looks and everything, she was sure that women would scramble toward him at one call, and it seems like he has a woman living with him. Then why would he marry her, did he know her, have they met before. However, after remembering her father’s words, she won’t dare question him.

She had seen the fears in her father’s eyes when he had first broken the news to her that she had to marry the guy who was the only one that could save his business.

If even her father was afraid of him, she couldn’t imagine the kind of person he was. But why her?

The question kept echoing in her mind. She soon reached the door and pushed it open.

Unlike the other room, this room was not as big. The curtains were light-colored, the bed sheets pink, the huge vanity mirror also had female cosmetics.

Gina sauntered inside, letting her gaze wander the room. She found the walk-in closet and saw various dresses inside. Even pajamas were there, in different shades and styles.

She picked one and wore it, then her stomach grumbled.

She hadn’t eaten since morning, and the long ride to this villa, combined with the apprehension she had been feeling made her energy depleted.

She held a hand on her stomach, just then the telephone which was sitting on the left bedside table rang.

Gina’s eyes lit up and she rushed forward to answer the call, wondering if it was her father or best friend.

“Hello__”

“Come down for Dinner”

The voice cut her off, and before she could reply, the call ended.

Gina dropped the phone with a sigh and stood up. Afraid that she might catch a cold, she dried her air and put on a sweater then left the room.

Walking down the stairs, she admired the paintings again and when her hands grazed one of them, she stilled.

‘What is this?’

She walked forward and surveyed it closely. Inside the painting was a waterfall, whose blue water, glimmering brightly, fell beautifully in the middle of the lush green forest.

The trees at its side, whose fruits were completely ripe, were lined up at each side of the water running on the ground.

Gina was mesmerized with the painting which felt real, totally forgetting her hunger, until her stomach grumbled again.

She continued walking down the stairs, then spotted the butler rushing toward her with an anxious look.

“Y… Young Miss, thank goodness” The butler sighed in relief and held a hand to his chest. “I thought you weren’t going to come down. Young Master had been waiting, and__and the food will get cold. Hurry, let’s go.”

Gina frowned and followed behind the butler, finding his behavior weird.

She had to increase her space to catch up with him. And when they finally reached the dining room, she realized why the man was anxious.
