It was his secretary a. k. a his mistress. I noticed how she pulled him in and they engaged themselves in a very deep kiss.
What the f*ck!!!
It’s really funny how life plays around with people. After all these years, they were still together while I tried my best to forget about the past and move on.
“Natasha…” I could hear Ryan’s faint voice calling out to me but I didn’t answer. I was so lost in my thoughts.
I could feel my heart breaking as I watched them being all lovey dovey with each other. They seemed like the perfect couple to others.
Even though I felt nothing from him anymore, it still hurt because whenever I think about all that I had passed through in his hands, all because I caught his affairs outside of our marriage, I wondered if I was the only one in the wrong.
Like he wasn’t the cause of it all.
Seeing them together made me recall all of my hurtful past that had been haunting me. I haven’t even been able to live a normal life because of my fear but here they are, all lovey dovey towards each other like they were newlyweds.
After six good years, he had the guts to track me down while he was still with his mistress. Was she able to satisfy him that well to the extent that he could throw away all the good things we had without remorse.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Are they a married couple now?
Just flings?
Still lover and mistress??
I had a lot of questions to ask but I just couldn’t find the answer to them. Thankfully, they weren’t looking at me. When I couldn’t bare to watch anymore, I decided to leave before he would see me.
I bowed my head slightly and left the hall with Ryan calling and chasing after me but I didn’t answer. When we got outside, he stood in front of me to stop me from walking and further.
“What’s up with you? Why did you walk out in the middle of a conversation?” He asked.
I didn’t answer and wanted to walk away when he held me back.
“Why are you leaving when I’m trying to talk to you?” He asked again.
“I made a mistake by coming here.” I answered.
“What? Why??”
“For a minute, I thought I could finally live like other people. I thought I could finally forget about my past but I was wrong. I can never be happy for once in my life.” I said as I dipped my fingers in my hair in frustration.
“What do you mean by that? Did I do or say something wrong to you?” He asked as he stared me carefully.
“No…” I sniffed.
“You didn’t.” I continued.
“Okay. Why don’t you come inside then. You can’t just stay out here.”
“No. I can’t.”
“Why not?” He asked in frustration.
“I need to go home now. I need to be with mu daughter.” I answered.
I couldn’t stay there anymore knowing that my nemesis was waiting in there for me. I needed to go be with my daughter.
“But…..”
“Please… just listen to me and let me go see my daughter.” I cut him off, almost pleading with him.
“Is there something wrong. Did something bad happen at home?” He asked, worry written all over his face.
“No, I just need to go see her. I’m so sorry for causing you all these stress.” I croaked out and was about to leave when he stopped me again. I sighed out in frustration. Didn’t he understand what I just said.
“What is it now??” I almost yelled at him.
“I can’t let you leave on your own. I’ll take you home.” He said. That was when I realised that I didn’t bring my car.
“There’s no worries. I’ll take a cab.” I answered.
“It’s very hard to find one here. Just let me drive you home.” He said.
“What about the ball?” I asked.
“My secretary will take care of it. Come on.” He said and led me towards his car.
He opened the passenger’s seat for me and I got in. Then he walked over to the driver’s seat. He got in and started the car before driving off.

Jason watched with anger and dissatisfaction written all over his face as Natasha left with Ryan. He had attended the party and he brought Sarah with him on purpose so as to get a reaction from Natasha.
Though he got what he wanted, he was still really mad that she left with Ryan.
“Just keep on running away from me Tasha but I’ll always find you.” He thought with a mischievous grin playing on his lips before he entered the building back.

After driving in silence for some minutes, they were nowhere close to their destination when the car suddenly broke down in the middle of the road.
“What’s wrong?” Natasha asked when the car stopped.
“It’s nothing.” Ryan assured and tried starting the car but it refused to work.
The was about starting it again when he noticed that the car had run out of fuel.
“Are you sure it’s nothing?” Natasha asked worriedly as she looked around in fear.
They were stranded in the middle on nowhere and there wasn’t any gas station in sight nor did they pass one when they were coming.
“It’s fine. I’ll just call someone to send another car.” He answersd and picked his phone to make a phonecall when he noticed that there was no network.
He tried calling again but the line wouldn’t go through. Natascha tried calling but it was the same thing. The place they were seemed somewhat isolated and no vehicle was passing by.
They couldn’t go back because the ball was pretty far from where they were.
“What do we do? We can’t keep waiting right in the middle of the road plus I really need to get home.” Natasha asked worriedly.
“I don’t know. I can’t reach anyone and nor do I see any car passing by.” Ryan replied.
“How can you not know that there isn’t enough fuel in your own car?” Natasha asked in a rather accusing manner.
“Maybe it’s because I didn’t drive myself here. Do you think I’m happy that we are stranded in the middle of nowhere?” Ryan asked back.
“Well, we can’t stay here for long and it’s about to rain heavily. It would be really dangerous to be in the middle of the road at this hour.” Natasha said.
“You’re right. How about I go out and see if we can find any gas station or help?” Ryan suggested.
“Yes, but I’m coming with you.” Natasha answered.
“Don’t bother. Just stay in the car and wait for me.”
“You expect me to be alone in the middle of nowhere?? Hell no.” Natasha rebuked the idea.
“The rain might catch up with us and you could get a cold.”
“It’s fine. Catching a cold is much better than staying here alone.” She answered, leaving no room for arguement.
Ryan decided not to argue any further and just let her do what she wanted. After walking from some time, it started raining heavily so they fastened up their pace.
Luckily, they were able to find a motel. There was only one room available but they took it because there was no other choice. When they got into the room, Natasha showered first before Ryan.
They changed into the clothes that the receptionist had given them and hanged their wet clothes.
Ryan brought out his phone and tried to make another phone call when he noticed it had been drenched by the rain. Luckily, Natasha’s own wasn’t wet since it was inside her purse.
She tried calling nanny Abigail but the call still couldn’t go through because of the bad network.
She couldn’t help but start to get worried because she couldn’t reach anyone at home. She walked to and fro as different thoughts started rushing into her head.
“Stop worrying and just sit for a minute.” Ryan said when he noticed she had started to get agitated.
*****************************
I stared at him like he had mentioned something stupid.
“Why would you tell me to stop worrying when you don’t even have an idea of what I am feeling. It’s late already but I can’t reach anyone at home.”
“I know how you feel, if you would just calm down and we’ll….”
“Calm down??” I cut him off immediately.
“Seriously?? You are telling me to calm down at this moment? I don’t even know what’s going on with them. I don’t know what’s Molly’s up to right now. I’ve never been away this away from her before. You don’t have the slightest clue of how I’m feeling now so don’ttell me to calm down.” I fought the urge to scream at him.
“I think you are just overeacting. I’m sure she’s fine.” Ryan said.
“How would you know that??”
“Her nanny is there with her isn’t she? Molly’s not home alone so you don’t have to worry.” Ryan assured and he tried to get me to sit down but I just couldn’t listen.
All that was in my head was Jason. What if his appearance at the ball wasn’t a mere coincidence? What if he had followed me there on purpose? If that was true, that would only mean that he knows where I live.
That means that Molly’s in danger. That thought made my heart skip to the extent that I started hyperventilating. I couldn’t even breath properly.
“What’s wrong?” Ryan asked worriedly when he saw how I was acting but I couldn’t answer him.
It felt like a heavy load was placed on my chest. If anything happens to Molly, I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself. Staying in that room without being able to talk to my daughter woukd make me go crazy so I decided to leave.
“Where are you going?” Ryan asked as he noticed me leaving.
“Home.” I answered curtly and was able to open the door when he blocked my way.
“Are you crazy? You can’t leave. It’s the middle of the night and it raining heavily outside for christ sake.” He said.
“It doesn’t matter. I need to go see my daughter.” I said.
“Do you think you’ll be able to get to her today if you leave now?”
“I’ll find my way. Just get out of my way.” I said and tried to push him way but he wouldn’t budge.
“Get out of my way before I make you.” I threatened angrily. Why is he just so fucking stubborn?
“Do your worse.” He answered with moving.
Oh well, you asked for it. I raised my hands and was about to hit him when he caught it with ease. He held both of my hands with one of his and pinned me to the wall.
“Let me go!!” I screamed as I tried struggling with him but it was of no use. He smiled when he saw that I was helpless against him. I didn’t realise how close we were. Our bodies were literally touching each other.
“Try screaming again and I’ll kiss you.” He threatened as he released a grin.
“You wouldn’t da… hmpp..” My words were caught in my mouth when he suddenly pressed his lips on mine. My eyes widened.
I struggled and tried to push him off me but he was too strong. When I noticed that I was powerless again him, I gave up and kissed him back.
