Scott? He was just another piece in Connor's intricate puzzle.

Connor leaned in, "Sis, you really thought you could buy Scott off with threats and a heap of shares? Sure, you got him to betray me, but I saw it coming. The intel he handed over was legit, but he didn't have a clue about version 3.0 before the big reveal. He's not one of the core insiders-he was bait, plain and simple. Jeffery, clearly livid, scolded, "I've let you get away with too much. Now, sign this and hand over all the shares to Connor. If not, consider yourself disowned. To me, you'll be as good as never born."

His words were as cold as ice.

But Claire knew Jeffery wasn't bluffing.

He was a man who meant what he said.

Even if she refused to sign, those shares would be taken back one way or another.

Connor cautioned, "The Garden's her turf. Watch your back."

Isaac blinked in surprise, "Okay, then Pure White?"

Connor shook his head, "Can't do tomorrow. Pax and Eve are getting engaged, and I've got to be at that party."

Isaac looked confused, "With everything the Nagels and your sister put you through, you're still going to their engagement?"

"Our beef isn't with the younger crowd. Plus, the engagement's at the Sartori family estate. It's only right I show up."
