Fated is overrated

Chapter 19

Lola POV

Having spent goddess knows how long in my bath tub, my hands are starting to wrinkle. I get pulled from my safe haven by hearing my phone ringing. Meh, by the time I am out of the tub I'll be too late to pick up anyway, so I decide to let it ring whilst slowly ascending from the tub. The phone stops ringing as I take a towel to dry my hair. Before I can move onto drying my body I hear the phone ringing yet again. Yugh, impatient much!

Whoever it is, it can wait a little after the day I have had. By the time I am done drying my body and wrapping the towel around me, it starts ringing again. This time I decide to head out of the bathroom and check my phone on the nightstand, to see it is actually Alpha Culio calling me.

Nerves start to sneak up on me as I have never in my life received a direct call from the Alpha. And after today, this can't be a good thing! I might get forced out of the pack for my disrespect, which means I won't get to graduate. My hands are slightly trembling when I finally pick up the phone" A- Alpha Culio, w-what may I help you with?" I stutter out, sounding like a complete midi*t and guilty already with my stuttering.

"Lola, I heard there was an incident at school today. I need you in my office in 30 mins, understood?" "Y-Yes Alpha" is all I manage to say before he ends the call. I am in deep sh*t.

Looking at the clock, it's already around dinner time and I know Nadia and Jason would be coming over soon, so I text Nadia saying I'll call when available and that Alpha Culio needs to speak with me. Not waiting for a reply I start getting ready, as I still need to cover some distance to the pack house and I have 30 minutes.

Chris's POV

After the altercation earlier, none of the guys or me have seen Lola in class anymore, nor in the cafeteria at lunch. She must have been excused by that poor excuse of a principal.

I am the future Alpha of this pack and he should be careful who to side with. At lunch I decide that we will address her tomorrow, as she seems to have left the school premises already. That'll give us some time to come up with a good plan on how to teach her a lesson.

The rest of the school day goes by in a blur, as I still can't wrap my head around what happened today. She is an omega for crying out loud, the weakest of the weak. And furthermore, where did she even learn how to fight to begin with? Women aren't allowed to train in our pack, as per the old werewolf rulebook. I know many packs nowadays have decided otherwise, but my father has stuck to the old ways.

Which is, going by today's event, a good thing I would say. No woman should ever stand up to a man like that ever again and this b*tch needs to be punished severely.

What was she even thinking? After leaving school Ashton, Jeremy and I get in the car and drive home. We are all silent, which rarely ever happens with my beta's big blabber mouth normally going on and on about the she wolves he has conquered for the day. None of us seem to know what to even say after today's events. So we drive home in complete silence for the first time since, well, ever.

Upon reaching the pack house where we all live we see my father standing outside, which is very unusual as he never just stands around waiting for us to get home.

He never just stands outside of the pack house waiting for anyone for that matter. "f*ck, do you suppose she ratted us out to your father?" comes Ashton's shaky voice. Although he is my future beta and I can be pretty intimidating as well, my father absolutely takes the cake. When he loses his temper, it better not be aimed at you. He is the Alpha after all.

"I don't know dude... guess we'll find out soon enough" I reply without looking away from my father. As we park the car, his expression doesn't seem as stoic as it was just a few seconds ago, his expression has a hint of rage in it and I have a hard time swallowing the lump in my throat just looking at him.

"Alpha" Ashton and Jeremy chime in unison to acknowledge his presence. I can't seem to get any words out the longer I look at his face, I know I am in for a rough evening. "My office, NOW!" is all he booms out before turning on his heels. Well f*ck. Walking up to his office with Ashton and Jeremy creeping behind me, we are all dead silent. The looks we get from the people we are passing on our way can almost be described as the walk of shame. Many paragraphs are missing. Read the complete book on Jo bn ib.c o m.When an Alpha - especially a powerful one - becomes angry, they start oozing their power through their aura, it's impossible to contain as anger is the most prominent emotion of any Alpha.

The lower ranks whimper and submit at the slightest aura already, whilst the ranked beta and Delta members will start whimpering and submitting once the aura becomes more powerful. When Alphas face each other off, it is always a battle to the death. It's in our nature.

Except when one of the Alpha's clearly has much more power, such as the royal family, who are Lycans and naturally stronger already. In such cases weaker Alpha's (which is everyone) are smart to submit in 1:1 battles. As my father is still the Alpha however, and not me, I am no match for him by a long shot.

Once you take over the position you become physically stronger and fitter and you immediately exude more power. Having finished our walk of shame, we are at the entrance of my father's door. Admittedly, I am hesitant about knocking as I know this won't be good. Before I can stall any further, my father booms through the mind link."

GET IN HERE". Of course, he could smell us outside his office since we arrived. "SIT." Is all we get from my father and as he is scary as hell right now, we don't need him to tell us twice and sit our asses down so fast I am surprised the chairs didn't break from impact.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
