Chapter 29
Chapter 29
She stood in front of the computer, and both the computer and the screen opposite autornatically
turned on
Estelle clicked on a desktop icon with an eagle’s head logo Upon entering, a password box popped up.
She quickly typed in six digits, and a 3D file with pictures showed up immediately
Estelle skimmed through it and said indifferently, “Half a month ago, the Haney family auctioned a
human-headed and bird bodied bronze artifact in London, UK. When they were shipping it back, the
plane crashed near the Outer Mongolia border, and now the whereabouts of the bronze artifact are
unknown. The Haney family is offering us 12 million to find it!”
After finishing her statement, Estelle asked, “Will you take the job?”
A distorted, doll-like voice came from the white screen, “Sure, I’m nearby, and have some clues.”
Estelle nodded, and the computer light reflected on her face, casting a cold glow, “I’ll send you the
pictures of the bronze artifact and the files of the related personnel.
“Blue Hawk,” Estelle ordered, “you will assist Goshawk.”
“Roger!” Blue Hawk’s voice was calm and low.
The three further discussed some details, and around eleven o’clock, Estelle left the study room.
On Saturday morning, when Estelle arrived at the Lamont family’s house, Norah surprisingly hadn’t
gone out
yet.
Knowing she had arrived, Norah pulled her into her room.
“Henson’s exam scores have improved a lot this time, and my uncle is very satisfied with you, Estelle.
Thank you so much for solving a big problem for our family!” Norah said excitedly.
Estelle smiled slightly, “I’m paid by your family; it’s what I should do. You’re welcome!”
Norah, who had already changed clothes and was about to go out, took out a few necklaces to try on
her neck and asked Estelle which one looked good.
All the necklaces were from famous brands, and some of them were limited editions.
“And this one!” Norah carefully opened the box to show Estelle, her voice filled with joy. “This was just
given to me by Nicolas. Do you like it?”
Estelle stared at the necklace in the velvet box without speaking. The necklace was from GK Jewelry
Studio and had a leaf-shaped pendant.
This necklace was Estelle’s own design.
The leaf had seven veins, which were filled with seven different colors of small diamonds inlaid onto the
gold leaf using a special technique. The necklace was gorgeous, with the sparkling diamond light and
the veins resembling flowing water when the sunlight hit it.
However, Norah’s necklace had eight veins, and cheaper moissanite diamonds were used instead.
Seeing Estelle not speaking, Norah put the necklace on her neck with a pure smile and said, “I know
the necklace is fake. Nicolas comes from an ordinary family, and he doesn’t have that much money to
buy a genuine GK Jewelry necklace.”
Estelle replied, “He doesn’t have to buy the genuine one if he can’t afford it. There’s no need to buy a
fake one.”
“I haven’t told him about my family background, and our relationship is very pure. He just wants to
make me happy,” Norah tried to explain.
Estelle couldn’t agree, “He is a student, so it’s normal for him not to be able to afford luxury items. But
buying a
fake one means he either thinks you are materialistic or he thinks you’re gullible enough to be
deceived” Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
Norah shook her head immediately. “That’s not true I know him, and he wouldn’t try to deceive me on
purpose Maybe he was deceived himself, or maybe he simply doesn’t know about the brand GK
Jewelry Studio After all, he has never cared about these things.”
Seeing that Norah was very protective of Nicolas, and Estelle didn’t know him very well herself, she
didn’t say anything more.
Norah still wore the necklace without caring, and her smile was still bright and innocent, “I have to go
now Please take care of Henson for me. I’ll treat you to a meal to thank you properly another time!”
“Be careful,” Estelle said.
Norah gave her a reassuring gesture and then flew out the door like a happy little bird.
“Love makes people stupid!”
A mocking voice suddenly came from behind Estelle. She turned around and saw Henson standing by
the railing, looking disdainful.
