Chapter 25
Third-person narrative.
Gina woke up the next morning to find herself spooned on each side by her two alphas that every girl in the kingdom would kill to have.
Despite her troubled state of mind before going to bed, she had a pretty good sleep.
Like, who wouldn’t? Apart from the triplets being known for their god-like beauty, they were also known to be the best warriors in the kingdom.
Denver was said to be the strongest alpha male in the entire kingdom, and even though Devon rarely ever fights, being the last born and mummy’s favorite. But, he was not left out when they were training his brothers to become the best fighters in the land.
So, it is very unlikely that anyone would not feel safe in their tight embrace.
Being the early bird that she was, Gina was already wide awake, even though it was just a few minutes past five in the morning.
She attempted to unwrap the hands of the two brothers from her, but that only made them subconsciously tighten their hold around her.
And, being that she didn’t want to wake them up, she just allowed them to sleep while allowing her thoughts to flow freely.
Everything still appeared like a dream to her, and for all that it is worth, she is not so sure if she was truly happy to become the triplets’ mate.
She wasn’t sure how much the triplet truly loved her; for example, they had called her all sorts of degrading names back in high school. They had imprisoned her and turned her into a servant just because she defended her mother. And lastly, they were going to keep her as their mistress against her will if they found out that Gwen was their mate.
But as much as she wasn’t sure about their feelings toward her, she also dreaded being rejected by them. An alpha rejection is ten times worse than anything anyone has ever experienced. Being an omega, the pain of being rejected by three alphas would possibly kill her.
Her mind slowly went to Derrick, and a sharp pain pierced through her heart as the thought of Derrick being wrapped up in Gwen’s hand flashed through her mind.
She knew he had disrespected their bond last night; she felt a crunching pain that was threatening to rip her little, fragile heart right before she went to sleep. She needed no one to tell her that she was having those pains because Derrick had been with Gwen that night.
Despite trying to tell herself that she was required not to be jealous since she already had two of the triplets cooing over her, she just couldn’t help it.
He was her mate, after all, and she had the same connection to him as she did to his brothers.
She feared that if any of her triplets’ alphas were going to reject her, it was going to be Derrick because he was the only one who seemed to have a thing for Gwen.
Another thing that bothered Gina was how everything was going to end. She knew from Gwen’s father’s expression last night that he would be the last person to let anyone else take his daughter’s place on the throne.
Gina couldn’t help but fear for the safety of her parents; Gwen’s dad is known all over the pack to be a heartless man. He wouldn’t mind harming her parents to drive home his point.
“You are awake,” Devon asked while pressing a deep k**s on Gina’s cheeks.
His voice seemed to bring Gina’s mind, from where it had wandered off.
Unable to ignore the sparks that shook her entire body from his innocent gestures, she turned to smile at him.
“Good morning,” she said with a beautiful smile.
“Did you sleep well?” He asked, using his hand to gently stroke her face.
“Yeah, thanks,” she answered, trying so hard to resist the urge to lean closer to him.
Just then, Denver woke up, subconsciously pulling her closer to him and sniffing her scent, as if he had been starved of it all night.
He opens his eyes to see his brother on the other side of the bed, immediately he lets go of Gina and gets up from the bed.
He had no idea how he and his brother joined Gina on the bed; the last thing he remembered was him getting too cold on the couch he was sleeping on.
And the only place he felt he could get some warmth was by his mate’s side, but he was also careful not to do anything she wasn’t prepared for.
Maybe it would have been a lot easier if his brother was not in the room. He was not one to show his true emotions around people because he believed it made him weak. Just like he has been told by his father severally.
When you eventually find your mate, you must not show how much you truly love her because when you do, your enemies will use her against you.
Even though he knew that it was going to be difficult not to show Gina how much he truly loved her, being that she had gone through a lot, he was going to try. At least for her sake because he liked her a lot and she made him feel complete whenever she was close by.
A gentle tap on the door directed all their attention toward it.
Subconsciously, Gina made to jump out of the bed, but Devon held her back while Denver walked to see who was at the door.
On opening the door, he discovered it was his brother Derrick; he could pick up a familiar scent on him. And knowing how Gina might get hurt when she perceives Gwen’s scent on him, he blocks Derrick from entering the room.
“I will suggest you go take a shower first before coming to see her,” he said coldly to his brother.
Derrick subconsciously runs his hand through his hair as he tries to look past his brother’s shoulder to see if he can get a glimpse of Gina.
Even though he was slightly offended by the fact that his brother was blocking him from seeing his mate, he couldn’t help but understand his standpoint.
Derrick was not exactly happy with the fact that he had spent the night with Gwen instead of with Gina.
He felt he had no choice; Gwen was hurting, and he felt at least one of them should be available to console her.
He never even intended to sleep over in Gwen’s room, but one thing led to another, and before he knew what was happening, he was already f*****g her deep and hard.
Likewise, he knew the consequences of his disrespecting the mate bond would lead to Gina having terrible pains and possibly resenting him. He felt so miserable after he had offloaded his c*m into the condom he had worn.
Furthermore, he thought of leaving that same night, but Gwen didn’t let him; she held on tight to him until he fell asleep.
Not only that, but he was feeling sad on the inside, as the possible thought of Gina not accepting him silently ate him up.
“Father said he would like to have a meeting with us this morning,” he said to his brother before turning away from the door.
Denver nodded his head and watched his brother walk away from his door towards his room.

“This has never happened in our pack; this to me is nothing but sorcery, and she needs to be killed to teach others a vital lesson about not using magic,” Gwen’s father ranted in the king’s chambers, while his daughter sat quietly by his side sobbing.
The alpha king had called his sons, the pack seer, and his best friend to talk about what had happened the previous night.
The event of the previous night had made him restless all through the night. Despite Luna doing everything within her power to calm him down, he just couldn’t get past the fact that the prophecy did not happen like it was told.
He was so confused as to how the gods would say one thing and do another. He understood how much his friend was eagerly awaiting his daughter being mated to the triplets.
And how truly heartbreaking it must be for him to have to witness the triplets laying claim to someone else!
He had sent for the seer as soon as he woke up this morning to come and clear the air and tell them who the triplets’ rightful mate was.
“Patient, my friend; I am sure you very well know that any form of sorcery cannot work on any member of the royal household; I would suggest we wait on what the seer has to say,” the king said in a calm tone, as a means of placating his friend.
“This girl is a witch, can’t you all see? She has bewitched you all, Why would any man want to pick this fat, ugly pig over me?” Gwen said, sizing up Gina with an evil eye as tears flooded her eyes.
“Don’t you ever call her such degrading names,” Devon charged angrily towards Gwen, but he was quickly held back by his older two brothers.
“I will not have you threaten my daughter in my presence,” Gwen’s father barked at Devon.
“Then you will teach your daughter, to shut up the hole she calls a mouth,” Denver said to Gwen’s father in a deep shivering voice, that made everyone in the room subconsciously hold their breath.
Denver may appear to be the calmest among the triplets since he hardly ever has anything to say to anyone. But his anger is not something anyone would like to see.
“Everyone should calm down. I am sure the gods would have an answer for us all,” the alpha king said, directing his attention to the seer, seated on the floor.
“This is strange,” the seer, who has been busy consulting the oracles by throwing some charms and amulets on the floor, said.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
“What are the gods saying?” the alpha king asked impatiently.
“They are not saying anything; the gods are silent,” the seer said, to the surprise of everyone present in the room.
“I don’t understand,” the alpha king said.
“Me too, your highness. This has never happened before, and they are not saying anything. However, I will advise that we all handle this matter with caution. For now, I will suggest that both women remain in the place until the gods provide a solution,” he said to the alpha king while packing up his tools.
When he was done, he bowed and begged to take his leave before walking out of the palace chambers.
“Well, we have all heard him; we all will have to patiently wait till the gods speak,” the alpha king said to everyone.
“With due respect, your highness, why are we disturbing the gods when they have long made known their decision? The prophecy said that my daughter would be mated to the triplets,” Gwen’s father said to the alpha king.
“And that is why we must consult them now that things aren’t going the way they predicted,” the alpha king said to his Beta.
“As for you, you are not yet of royal b***d; you may have been claimed by sons, but you are not yet their mate. And on that ground, you will not be living with us in the main house. You will live in any one of the houses inside the palace that you decide until we can get to the bottom of this, the alpha king said, directing his attention to a nervous-looking Gina, who has been seated quietly all through the meeting.
Gwen and her father seemed very pleased with the king’s decision, as Gwen felt she had the upper hand in seducing the triplets into liking her. And also it would be very easy for her to get rid of Gina when the need arises.
Even though the triplets didn’t like the fact that Gina was asked to leave the main house, they pretty much understood their father’s point of view, and they will only be a few feet away from each other.
“Thank you father, if you don’t mind, we would want her to move into grandma’s house for now,” Derrick said.
The alpha king seems not to be pleased with the decision of letting an omega stay in his late mother’s apartment, but since the triplets seem to agree with derrick and also since he had given his word, he agreed to it.
Hearing that gina would be moving into the late luna’s house further heightens the hatred that Gwen had for Gina.
She knew the triplets had a special connection with that particular building because that was where their grandma lived after the death of her husband.
She had wanted to live there for a long time now, but every time she suggested it, the triplets would stylishly ask her to wait till she became the luna.
However, seeing how easily the triplets agreed to let fat Gina live there only means that they truly have fallen for her. But that was one bitter pill that was too difficult to be swallowed by Gwen and her father.
