Please don’t do that!
“I didn’t mean it! I didn’t mean it!” Kwan’s mind was screaming as he ran down the riotous road, thinking about what doom was waiting for him.
“What did you do to your brother?” The woman screamed, seeing her son in a bloodied situation; she got near and cuddled him in a shivering manner.
Kwan stabbed Melbourne with a knife almost ten times from the back; the blood spurted out of his body like a shower shedding down the innocent floor. He made certain that he would be unable to fight back and would most likely perish at the hands of death.
Following that, a swarm of cops pursued him, threatening to throw him inside the jail if he was apprehended. As he continued running, there was a red car passing by the red light street, so he jumped in, and rode on with someone.
“Who are you?” Her serene voice queried. “And why are those cops chasing you?”
Kwan didn’t know who that woman was, but he was thankful that she became a way for him to escape. Although her voice was really different from her face, he knew he couldn’t judge her, but be thankful instead.
“Why do you need to know? It’s not your business anymore, so don’t intrude your ugly face with it,” Kwan said in a mad manner.
“If that’s so, then get out!” She yelled as the car suddenly stopped.
Kwan stepped out and slammed the door. He remembered how disrespectful to everyone he was, but as he grew old, his demeanour changed and became chivalrous.
From then on, he didn’t want to remember how his life was, those crimes he committed, and those people who were affected. He was thankful that his family could accept him again regardless of everything.
“You sound like you are thinking deeply about something. Will you share that?” Damian asked as he blocked Emerson in the passageway.
“It’s confidential, father,” Emerson replied as he was released from the nightmares of his past, and his roommate is more than a father when he acts like a father to everyone here. “Where you’ve been, by the way?”
“Don’t try to change the topic, son. There’s nothing confidential between us. Or you’ll be like a scaredy cat again.” Damian interrogated
“But!” Emerson interjected, then his mind suddenly changed. “Okay, I will tell you, but let me take my way first.”
Damian let Emerson go, but he ran towards the dormitory, which turned him into annoyance. He told him to go back, but he didn’t really want to tell him anything, especially that he knew Lucille had big ears.
The crescent moon had just shown up when Emerson got out of his room. He’s in a maroon coat and blue jeans, knowing that he’s already handsome even if he won’t apply any effort to his clothing, but he just doesn’t want others to think that he’s an indigent man.
“Oh! You’re in good posture. Where are you going huh?” Damian asked.
“You already knew it, father, but guess it if you don’t.” Emerson continued walking out of the dormitory and continued to the mansion.
Even though he’s allowed to stay here, Emerson still doesn’t want to use the door of the mansion and take the stairs to the rooftop. Well, there’s an emergency exit on the one side, so that’s what he took to meet his girlfriend.
“Claudio?” Emerson screamed in his mind when he saw Claudio also there, but what surprised him more was that he was dragging Rebecca to the edge of the rooftop. “Is he going to throw her down there?”
“Please brother! Don’t do this!” Rebecca implored, attempting to escape, but Claudio clutched her arms. “What did I do wrong?” She hadn’t finished her words as he covered her lips. But her tears expressed how hurtful she felt.
Emerson cautiously walked towards them, and found out that there was something wrong, that his hunch was right. Seeing Rebecca in that pathetic situation, Emerson screamed Claudio’s name.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
“Oh! Your indigent boyfriend is here!” Claudio chuckled. “Well, perhaps he wants to see you fall down there.” He laughed like he had already lost his sanity.
“What are you doing? Please, perhaps we can talk about this?” Emerson indicated that he didn’t want to move because he knew it would aggravate the situation as he came to a halt a few meters away from them.
“She’s Rebecca San Jose, your sister. How come that you’re pushing her to jump down there?” Emerson queried. “Have you forgotten what you told me? Take care of your sister, and now, this is what you’re doing?”
Claudio didn’t say anything. He didn’t want to listen to Emerson’s foolish words, especially that he had no more time but to fulfill what they had transacted. If he could just say all his feelings and suffering-he still couldn’t express them through words, but through his actions-he’d be drastically mad.
“Do you think you can get me through kneeling there?” Claudio laughed as he did his best to drag Rebecca to the edge of the roof. “It’s over now, so let’s see how your girlfriend fell down here!”
“Please don’t do that!” Emerson shouted while stepping slowly towards them.
“One more move and you’ll see how everything ends!” Claudio warned.
It was just an inch away from the hands of death when Rebecca found an opportunity to kick her brother in the thigh. She knew that was painful, but she just wanted to take revenge for what he did.
At that moment, when Claudio was busy holding his thigh and growling in pain, Emerson got his opportunity to do what was on his mind. The thing which could worsen the situation is what happened in his past.
“Wha-what did you do?” Rebecca’s eyes widened in surprise. “How could you do that?” The tears of mixed emotions spurted out from her eyes. “How could you push my brother like that?” She screamed interrogatively.
Meanwhile, Emerson was just staring curiously at Rebecca’s face, which was filled with sadness and anything else he didn’t know. He was thinking that she would be happy to see her brother fall down there, or at least he just did that to end everything.
“Ah, am, I’m so sorry, Rebecca,” Emerson apologized. “I didn’t mean it! I didn’t mean it!” As his mind screams, he remembers the nightmare of his past.
“Do you think that I can easily forgive with your sorry? You don’t know what my parents can do when they find out you killed my brother! You know that even if he was so bad, he’s still my brother!”Rebecca’s voice echoed several times in Emerson’s ears.
“And let you get killed by him like that?” Emerson queried and didn’t notice that tears were already flowing down his eyes. “You don’t know I did that for you; you don’t know how much I love you; you don’t know that I’ll be gone if you go!”
“I know you do! But you must know that blood is thicker than water!”
