His Psycho Lover

CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

“Hey, what did you and Dylan talk about?” Dane greeted me. Everyone is waiting for me and everyone looks nervous, so I laughed.

“Dane, remember before this sucks happen between me and Maggie, I said I need a vacation but didn’t go, right?” I ask.

“Yup.”

“I need it now,”

“Now?”

I took the keys that Dylan handed me and showed them.

“What is that?” simultaneous question of the three but Dane smile.

“Stay there as long as you want.” She tapped my shoulder and went back to her seat. “That’s why I love that fucker. Go now before I change my mind.”

“Dane, I really do appreciate this. And oh, cancel my transfer request. I changed my mind.” I said and never spoke again. Dane will explain those three. For sure she knows what does this means. When I got off, I immediately saw Dylan’s car. When I went inside I saw a note in the driver’s seat, altogether with Maggie’s address. I’m familiar with this place. I also grabbed the note that Dylan left and read it.

‘Love her, motherfucker, you only have this chance and it won’t happen again.’

I drive his car and went to my home first to take some clothes. I didn’t bother to check what I put in as long as I have something to wear. I quickly got off and drove to Maggie’s place. When I reached her house, I blew the horn. I saw her walk carrying her things. I wanted to help her but she might know right away that I wasn’t Dylan. I opened the car and she quickly entered.

“Hi,”

“What the hell? Where’s Dylan?”

“I don’t know, he went to my office and told me to pick you up.” I started the engine and locked the door.

“Stop the car.”

“Nah, I can’t.” She did not argue, instead, she took her phone and call someone. Well, I will assume it’s Dylan.

“What the hell are you thinking?! Dylan! Dylan! Fuck you, Dylan, I’ll kill you.” She threw her phone into the backseat but I just drive calmly.

“Where are you taking me?”

“Just sleep, you’ll know when we get there.”

“Listen, Blaze, if you think —-”

“I will get you back, Maggie.” I did not hear anything from her. “In my own way.”

“As easy as that? You will be wasting your time. I am not the old Maggie, you once you knew.”

“Then I will accept and love the new you.” I looked at her and smiled at her before gazing back at the road again.

“Why are you doing this, Blaze?”

“Because I missed you, and I wanted to spend my life with you. So, I will do everything to get back to you.”

“Let see, I will make sure you will give up.”NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

“Alright, if you say so.”

She didn’t bother to speak anymore so I just kept driving. I heard her softly snore, which made me smile. She’s sleeping. I swear that after this, everything will gonna be ok for both of us. You’ll be mine again.

We reached the destination with Maggie sleeping tightly. The place is still what it is. There are no neighbors and it is located in the middle of a forest.

“Mag, we’re here.” She slowly opened her eyes then rolled her eyes around.

“Holyshit!”

“What’s wrong?”

“Let’s go back.”

“No, we just arrived.”

“Did you know that this place is haunted?” she whispered as her eyes widened.

“Ow, I don’t remember Dylan telling me something about that .”

“Well, now I told you. Let’s go back.”

“No, I’m tired and I want to rest.” I opened the door and took my things.

“Wait! Holy shit, wait for me.” She got out of the car slowly then quickly clung to me.

“I thought you are not afraid of anything.” I laughed saying.

“Well, that does not include paranormal things.” She clung to me until we could enter. The house has three rooms. Not that big but not too small either. We walked into the room where I and the boys slept when we stayed here. When we go inside Maggie, locked the door.

“It’s too early Mag, we can wait until night.”

“Stupid!”

I pulled her and pinned her to the wall.

“Yes, I’m stupid because I hurt you but I’d be even more stupid if I let you go again.”

“Don’t make me feel like that, Blaze. Not because I scared of ghosts means we’re okay.”

“I won’t force you, Mag, because you’ll come back to me voluntarily.”

I brought my face close to her and saw her closing her eyes. But I did not continue to kiss her. When she opened her eyes, I smiled at her.

“Stupid, go ahead and annoy me so I’ll go forever.”

“Why, I’m not doing anything, eh?”

“Hmp. I don’t know about you.” She pushed me and went to the bed. I opened the door and she immediately get up. “Where are you going?”

“Downstairs. It’s almost noon, I will cook lunch.”

“I’ll help you.”

“Sleep here.”

“I said, I’ll help you!”

“Fine, up to you.”

She clung to my arm as we went down the stairs. There is also a basket of food in Dylan’s car. That idiot must’ve prepared a lot. We got to the kitchen without her letting go of me.

“I’ll cook, what do you want?” she asked.

“Stewed chicken so we have soup.”

“You’re crazy, Blaze.”

“I just mentioned soup, you’re being green-minded. I guess you’re thinking of something else.” She just stared. She prepared the ingredients alone. I offered her some help but she refused. Maggie was very busy with what she was doing so I just let her. Seeing her doing this kind of stuff makes my heart flutter. I stood and went behind her. I hugged her from behind and I felt that she was surprised.

“Hey!”

“I missed seeing you like this.”

“Blaze, the dish is cooked.” I turned the stove off but I didn’t remove my hug from her.

“One minute, Mag, let me hug for one minute.”

“I’ll count on you.” I smiled and put my chin on her shoulder and felt her body. I always love her scent. I don’t know why, but every time I smell her scent I feel like I don’t belong in this world. I feel like we have our own world. Since Maggie and I love each other I feel like I only belong to her.

I hugged her tight.

I know she is still the Maggie that I love. She may be hiding from pain and sadness. But I know she is still there. I won’t mind what else she looks like, or what else she does, she’s still the Maggie I once knew and still the Maggie I’ve always wanted.

Whether she goes back to the past or stays like this, I will still love her. Her looks and attitude were not important to me. She, herself, is all I need. As long as she loves me and I love her. I don’t care about everything, but only us.

“One minute and ten seconds, Blaze.” I let her face me. “Since I cooked, you’ll serve.”

“As you wish my love.”

I prepare the food and we start to eat together. I put her a lot of soup while smiling.

“I know what you’re thinking, Blaze.”

“What?”

“You’re putting more soup on me, ha! You’re unlucky because you can’t score now.”

“It’s ok, there’s still tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, many more tomorrow.”

“Whatever.”

“Maggie.”

“What?”

“I won’t give up, I’ll wait until you trust me again. And you give me back your love.”

“I love you, Blaze, and I believe in you. I always believe you and nothing changed. But I hope you understand that still I am not ready. I am in pain, broken. And the hatred is still here. How I can give you my heart if it’s still broken? It’s hard, Blaze, it’s so hard and I don’t want to be hurt anymore so I’ll just choose to be numb. This is me now and I like it better because being like this, I know I won’t be hurt anymore.”

“I know and I won’t ask you to change. I just want you to know that whatever you are, whoever you are, I will still love you and accept you. The whole you, nothing more, nothing less.”
