Chapter 34: Lude?
Chapter 34: Lude?
"You can't say that. It's rather too harsh."
Iva said to Hira. They were walking through the forest, but sensitive to things coming from behind and
ahead of them.
His cloth was dirty as well as hers but she tend to make more stench from his than hers though twas
the other way around.
She just wanted to blame him. She just wanted to make him feel bad. Why wouldn't she?
He had made her feel more than bad. Even worse and worst. In the fucking name of love.
Though she should admit that he had been protective of her and had been there for her in the wild, but
hadn't he gotten them there.
For sometimes she had been very hard on herself for ever being so stupid to had followed him.
But if she hadn't followed him, she wouldn't had known to what extent he would go to save her. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
But that was not enough to convince her. She didn't know why she was feeling like he had some tricks
up his sleeves. Twas a hard feeling to toss aside.
She didn't know what to think. And most times she made her worries into words and taunt him with
them.
"Of course the truth is harsh. "
She said to him. She was walking at the front along the path. If any beast should kill any of them, it
should be him.
They had gone out to the wild to get some fruits to eat. They had been living in a cave since they had
left the village.
It hadn't been great. It hadn't been the worst experience too.
Though on rare occasions they had sex, but twas always with a lot of begging and urging.
Sometimes twas just the circumstance. Probably the odds of a blistering cold or other thing.
Aside the sex, he spent some of his time impressing her with words on how much he loved her. Though
she could see it but she simply only wanted to complicate things for him.
The only part of the whole adventure (that was what twas like to her) that set her on her toes were the
story of the places he had been to in the wild.
The stories of how he had killed wild cats with bare hands and some with just a peg.
At first she had taken them as sweet talks he only was using to win her over, but she had seen it
herself too.
"That's not the truth, it's rather an insult. You know I do much for you. I try as much as possible to
please you and prove to you that I'll always stick by you. And you've seen how far I can go, even to end
my life that you can live. But you're only just way too proud to admit it. And that really sucks. Makes me
feel like I'm forcing myself on you and the truth is, I'm at the brink of giving up."
He said. He stopped walking and she did too. He walked to stand under one the trees by the path, and
cupped the sticky substance on the bark with his finger.
She maintained her position and looked sternly at him. She had been wanting that part of him all along.
She had wanted to see him get really annoyed. And there she was attaining the peak.
But she was glad that he was nothing close to what she he had thought he would be. Some monster
that hit a woman or manhandle them.
But she still needed a shot more. She spoke,
"To hell with you then. I never told you to bring me here. You only did because of your stupid love and
I've been exposed to lots of danger because of you. It's better we separate, else I'll be the one to
strangle you when you're fast asleep."
She hurled. She feared that what she had said was too much.
He looked at her for some while and began to hurry to her. She wanted to run but she held her ground.
He got to her and towered over her. She was freaking out but was trying as much as possible to hide it.
She could count his breathing pace, he was very annoyed. She knew anything could happen. She was
about to apologise when he turned his back at her and began to hurry through the bush, leaving the
track of the path.
She only watched him as he go regretting all she had said to him. She was about to call him back when
a sac dropped from the top of a tree whose branch was reaching into the path.
Twas a narrow escape. It could had dropped on her. As soon as the sac dropped, skulls began to roll
outta it.
Seeing the skulls she screamed. Iva heard her scream and began to ran towards her.
As soon as he got to her, he noticed the sac of skulls and walked over to it. She was shivering.
He hesitated for a while then held unto her.
Then at once, Hira felt a weight pull him away from her and dropped him on the floor.
She looked to see a man on Iva trying to strangle him.
She looked closer,
"Lude?"
