Chapter 38: In Good terms
Chapter 38: In Good terms
A thick forest.
"Why don't we all return to the village. Eventually we would all die by the claws of that ugly thing.
Believe me."
Lude was the first to speak. He was seating all by himself. Hira was seated beside Iva, resting her head
on his shoulder. They were all in the cave.
Twas quite close to the eventide and in no time, the continuous cawing of the mofo Ravens would start Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
and crazy ominous sounds would take their shifts too.
Lude was done with being in that forest. He had made up his mind to leave in no time if the fucking
lovers wouldn't use their heads.
"That's quite illogical of you to say. Eventually we will all die by the claws of that ugly thing. Aren't you
willing to fight?"
Iva challenged. Lude scoffed. He didn't know that he could really get along with Iva. He had thought
that the fellow was a dickhead but the fact was that Iva was such a nice guy, though with lots of
touches in the brain.
"Stop acting all tough to impress me, Iva. You're trying enough, but that went all wrong. When you had
a chance with the monster, what'd you do?"
That was Hira. She was beginning to acknowledge the fact that Iva loved her. That helped the situation.
It made sense.
And also, since her brother, Lude, had no contention with it anymore, twould be quite illogical of her to
keep stressing. What else did she expect from him?
"Yes, sis! What did you do, Iva?"
Lude fueled. Iva had been cornered by the siblings but he always had his way with words.
That was why he was always his father's favorite. He always had answers ready even for things you
think worth none.
He chuckled and said,
"Let's be sincere. We all know that that was a different context. Ok fine, the first time I was scared.
Scared as anyone of us here. I didn't know there was such odd thing out there, so I couldn't think of
anything. But now that I've seen it, twould be pretty easy for us to draft a plan out. That's all that we
need. A plan. If we have a sane plan, I tell you, the monster would change his location or probably die.
You know what I'm talking about."
He paused. He noticed that the both of them were giving him the odd stare. He didn't know what that
meant.
Then the two of them bursted out into what he would call a ridiculous laughter.
He didn't know how to feel. There was nothing at all funny about what he had just said.
"Stop it, it ain't funny. That makes me look stupid or something."
He said his face wielding a felon frown.
Suddenly, they heard a thud from the mouth of the cave.
"What was that.?"
Hira stopped laughing. She was beginning to freak out.
"Hiding position."
Iva called. They all began to crept to their designated position where they could lay dead.
Hira behind a log, in camouflage. Iva pressed to the wall, covered with dried leaves, and Lude at the far
end, taking the position of a large wall gecko.
After several minutes, there was peace.
"I think all gone. "
Hira was first to call. She was feeling so uncomfortable.
"Yes, now. Slowly. "
Iva said after three minutes.
They would have to lay low for the meantime. Another wild cat might still be around.
Lude thought, 'for how long would they continue that way.'
