Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Then James went back to his house.
"Dad, why don't you get up?"
After a long while, Felix asked Henry.
Henry snorted and said, "I can't move my legs. You ungrateful bastard, come and help your father!"
Felix explained with a crying face, "Dad, I can't move my legs, either!"
"Useless!"
Henry cursed Felix. Then he looked at Patrick and asked coldly, "So your legs got numb, too, huh?"
Patrick said in pain, "Grandpa, my legs are broken!"
When they heard his words, the Jeffersons were then all silent.
"Why don't you get up, too? Do you want to kneel here until the sun comes up?"
Henry looked at Michael and asked.
Michael snorted, "Huh. Can't our legs get numb?"
Both the Jeffersons and the Collins kept silent.
After a long time, they finally managed to get up.
"Dad, what should we do next?"
Felix asked.
Henry glared at him and shouted, "Go back now! What a shame to stay here!"
"Vroom!" The Jeffersons then hurriedly staggered to their cars and then left.
"Bastard! What are you waiting for? Go home now!"
Charles rubbed his numb legs and glared at Alfred.
Alfred put on a depressed face and followed Charles.
Loretta hurriedly ran after them.
Alfred frowned and stopped her, "Why are you going with us? I said I would divorce you!"
Loretta begged him, "Please, Alfred. I don't want to get divorced!"
"Fuck off!" Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Alfred pushed Loretta violently and Loretta then fell to the ground.
Then, Alfred turned around and left.
"Alfred! Please don't leave me!"
Loretta cried sadly as she watched Alfred leave.
"Don't cry, Loretta. Let's go home!"
Laurence sighed and went to comfort Loretta.
"Dad, your daughter just got divorced!"
Loretta cried.
Michael also sobbed as he heard this, "Just why on earth would we end up like this!"
...
At the same time, Esther was going back with Chris in a Hummer.
For quite a few times, she had wanted to ask something but was hesitant.
Chris smiled and said, "Just ask, if you have any questions."
Esther took a deep breath and asked, "Chris, are you Lord Death?"
After she asked this, she stared at Chris.
Susan and John also looked at Chris seriously.
All the things that had happened tonight made them very curious about Chris's real identity.
So many soldiers, hundreds of military vehicles, and helicopters...
They had all come for Chris. How could it be possible if he was merely a son-in-law of the Jefferson
family?
When he heard the question, Chris smiled and asked, "Do you wish me to be Lord Death?"
Esther was stunned as she heard this.
Did she wish him to be Lord Death?
The question kept hanging in her mind.
What if Chris was really Lord Death?
Then, he would be the respected and noble general, and his name was known by everyone in the
world.
But she was just an ordinary woman from an ordinary rich family.
Could she still stand with him?
This question made Esther confused.
Esther lowered her head and answered, "I don't know."
Chris laughed after he heard the answer, "I'm not Lord Death!"
What?
Esther was stunned. She asked in disbelief, "How is it possible? You summoned so many soldiers, and
even the richest man in the city, James Mester, was so respectful to you. And that general Tiger..."
Esther couldn't continue. Everything proved that Chris was just Lord Death!
