Chapter Seven- Be my maid.
“Well, No”
Judy replied.
“If you need a job so badly, go to the pig sty. You fit there perfectly. As for a restaurant as perfect as this one, you don’t fit. What am I even saying? I meant to say you’ll run down this restaurant with your bad luck.”
“But I used to work here. You never told me I didn’t fit here. You always said I was ill-luck though.”
Alexa said with her eyes teary, the last part coming out as a mere whisper.
“Well, now I did. Take a look at yourself and compare yourself with those ladies serving when you came here. Did you notice anything?”
Judy asked and Alexa looked down at her dress for the fifth time today. It was true. She didn’t fit here.
“I understand. I don’t fit here as you said.”
Alexa replied.
“Then get the fvck outta here idiot!”
Judy shouted at her and that hurt her. She didn’t know why she always felt like an ant every time she was with him.
She always felt he could crush her anytime he wished and he sure did whenever it pleased him. He knew the strings to pull to get her tears and emotions running endlessly.
Alexa turned her back against him and left his office. Before she shut his door, she heard him mutter ‘Such a fool’.
She ran out of the restaurant.
She didn’t even bother answering Tina’s calls. She never felt so humiliated as she did today.
She decided to go somewhere comforting… Somewhere she could scream and pour her eyes out. Her feet started moving on their own accord.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Meanwhile…
At Anderson’s Home…
The s*x Anderson had with June earlier was short, but fulfilling. They woke and Anderson told her to go shower in the bathroom downstairs while he showered in his.
After that, she wore her clothes and Anderson gave her some money before she left. He took a leave from his work and decided to go visit his mom.
He was the Acting CEO, but he still took leaves from his father. He wasn’t the CEO yet, so he still had to report to his dad.
After dressing up, he went out, into his car and drove off to the Cemetery.
At the Cemetery.
Anderson parked his car some meters away and came down from it.
The Cemetery was located in an Estate, they were two… One on the right and one on the left.
The one on the right was used to bury the very rich personalities, while the one on the left was for the burial of the masses.
Anderson headed for the one on the right and walked into the Cemetery gate.
He went to his mother’s tombstone and sat by it. He ran his fingers on the name engraved on it.
ELSA GREEN.
That was his mom’s name, Elsa.
He looked around her tomb space and noticed the flowers on it were still fresh. His dad had made sure her tombstone was adorned with flowers every week and that made it look a bit different from the others around.
Alexa walked into the Cemetery gate on the left side, the ones the government had so gratefully given to people like her. It wasn’t hard to locate her parents, they were buried side by side after all.
Since she was visiting two tombstones, she sat in between and cried her eyes out.
“Why’d you both leave me alone?”
“Why’d you fucking leave Jace in the state he is in now?”
“Oh, so you guys thought it great to die and leave your responsibilities to me?”
“Take a look at me”
So saying, she stood up.
“Do I look good to the both of you? I got rejected five times because of the way I look now.”
“You could have at least left Jace and me in a better condition. He doesn’t have what kids his age has. He does nothing but sleep, wake up, eat and stay scooped up in his room. He doesn’t even have a TV to watch. He doesn’t go to school like other normal kids. I want to buy him books, but I can’t.”

“Now he needs his drugs, I can’t find the cash to get them for him”
…
Alexa walked out of the Cemetery with a faraway look on her face.
Where the heck would she get money for Jace’s drugs?
She wasn’t even focused on where she was going due to all the thoughts she was thinking about.
“I wish I could get him his drugs… Owwww”
Alexa groaned in pain as she rubbed her forehead.
“Wtf!”
Alexa cursed out loud.
She had bumped into someone, and for some reason, she didn’t know, the chest was too hard.
“Hey watch your step!” Alexa yelled while rubbing her aching forehead.
“I should be saying that you bumped into me!”
“What do you mean I bumped into you?”
Alexa asked and raised her head to look at the person.
“You!”
They both yelled together.
“Hey, what are you doing here?”
Alexa shouted at him.
“I should be asking you that question”
“I came here to visit my parents. So now answer me, what are you doing here? Wait, are you stalking me?”
“Me? Stalk you? Because I’m that jobless or what?”
“I refuse to believe this is a coincidence” Alexa argued and squinted her eyes.
“Whatever. I came here to visit someone important to me as well”
“So… Wait a moment. Did you come from over there?”
Alexa asked and pointed towards the Cemetery at the right.
“Yes. So…?”
“You’re as rich as I thought you were!”
Alexa hhmped.
“Yes. I’m happily not poor like you.”
Anderson replied and Alexa bit her lip to keep her emotions in check.
Anderson noticed this.
“Hey, are you okay?”
Alexa widened her jaw in a smile.
“Yes, I am. Why wouldn’t I be?”
She said, but her hurt eyes said otherwise.
“I’m sorry if I touched a soft spot. I didn’t mean it that way”
Anderson apologized.
“It’s Alright. I’m used to it.”
“So, how’ve you been?”
“I’ve been very great” Alexa lied.
“You got a new job yet?”
“Yes”
She lied once more.
“Your dressing tells me otherwise.”
Anderson pointed out and once again, Alexa felt embarrassed.
What kind of lady has her dressing condemned by six different people in one day?
“And from what I can see, you’ve been crying”
Anderson finished.
“Crying? I don’t cry”
Alexa tried to hide.
“Your eye gets all puffed up when you cry”
Anderson pointed out.
“And how do you know that? It’s not true!”
“The other day at the restaurant, and now. Two incidents are enough proof”
Alexa decided it was no use lying to him about crying or not anymore.
“Whatever. I cried and so?”
Alexa rolled her eyes at him.
“You haven’t gotten a new job yet.”
“I have.”
“Don’t lie to me. I’m way more intelligent than you can know.”
Anderson said and Alexa decided to come clean.
“OK fine! I haven’t been employed yet.”
She revealed.
Anderson got happy.
He so wanted to employ her after the fight with his inner self, but at the same time, he knew she was not fit to work in his company. Judging from her looks, she didn’t have the qualifications.
“Be my maid”
