Four hours later and it’s already dark out and the once burning diner is now almost cimply The only person ell is Nade who stuck by his words that he will wait for me
I didn’t think he would, even though I shouldn’t be surprised since when be and I were thends he had done this before When we were trends My gut churn What were we now?
Swiping down the counter with a damp ragg Shayne leaned close to me to utter softly “You didn’t tell me your hot best trend turned your boyfriend When did that happen
Not expecting his question made me stub my toe on the met the stool My lace felt hot and I could feel the tiny prickles on my neck I know it’s hum staring

I stammered thushing even more “s complicated “It really was
“It’s not
I nearly jumped out of my skin when his husky tone bounced off the walls bhunthy How did he hear me when Lam all the way here” I turn to look at him and see that he is sloughed in a lary way on the seat, his arms crossed and his eyes closed
However, he must’ve felt my eyes on him because he peeled those baby blues to shoot fire to my soul “You’re mine”
His words made a shaver snake down my back and a sharp pressure pulsed in my lower stomach “I am not an object” I lifted my chin and sent him a hard stare that made his blues shift with entertainment
“No you’re not,” he agreed, eyes burning up the entire length of my body I shivered, my heart threatening to jump out of my chest.
The corner of his lips lift, a smirk, one that spoke of amusement, but his words were laced with honesty. “But you’re my girl.”
Shit. I need to change my panties. Like right now.
“Okayyy,” Shayne drawled awkwardly. “As much as this is
entertaining I’d not want to see you tvo bone in here. So give me that.” he pried the damp towel from my hands. “And go on ahead with your man. He had caused enough trouble around here as it is.
My cheeks will be permanently red if this keeps up. Flustered I began
ammer but Shayne pushed me lightly. “Go on. I’ll finish this and up soon.”
My brows pinched in worry. My shift doesn’t end in the next ten minutes but something about, the way Shayne gave me that ‘you better leave’ look makes me rethink to ask him if he’s sure or not.
So I nod and head back to change into my regular clothes which was a baggy shirt…..Xade’s baggy shirt and leggings. I left my hair up in the ponytail I had wrapped it in before starting my shift. Even though some frays had come out to frame across my forehead. I didn’t bother to fix them.
I threw my book bag strap over my shoulder and got out, my eyes scanning for Xade. He’s not in the diner anymore which causes me to have a sinking pressure of disappointment in my tummy.
But then I looked out and saw that he was leaning against his car, looking incredibly s*xy. I bit my lip and waved Shayne goodbye.
“You know I’m still mad at you.” I stated while he opened the door for me to get in. He chuckled in amusement. “That I know baby, and I’m working on fixing that.”
I slide in and buckled myself pretending that him calling me baby didn’t make me want to moan aloud. Kade starts up the car and drives oll “I am sorry for searing you last night. The fight hadn’t meant to lose control like that I just don’t like seeing you hurt.”
He gripped the steering wheel so tightly that I am sure his hands had turned white. “I told you to stop.” I whispered. “You didn’t have to hurt him. I could’ve handled it, I am a big girl Xade ”
“Right By ignoring it and pretending it never happened ”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
Trowed my eyes “You know, this isn’t helping me forgive you You’re just being an a*s
Xade shook his head, his hand going through his bor in frustration. “Okay. I’m sorry let’s start back I’m sorry I lost c

Now it was my turn to scoff and I crossed my arms, pretending that my heart wasn’t singing with joy when he called me his girl. I turn away from him like a brat. “I am not your girl Xade. I’m your friend.” I stressed on the word friend to really engrave it in.
It’s silent for a few minutes and I thought I had struck a nerve. I almost apologize until I noticed we had driven past the dorms. I whirl to him, my brows drawn into a confused furrow. “Where are you taking me?”
Without looking over he replied. “To my new apartment, friend.” he spat out the friend as if it tasted bitter in his mouth.
