My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2680

"You're right. It really has been a while." Yesseca replied.

It felt like a century ago.

Yesseca felt her eyes spin.

She worked everyday.

Day after day, all she did was work and felt time pass her by.

But every time she was with Tremaine, time seemed to pass slowly.

Every time they were together, it felt like the world was standing still.

And...

Yesseca suddenly remembered.

She couldn't help herself from smiling widely.

She remembered that they would always have the same conversation every time they met up.

Just like right now.

We haven't seen each other in such a long time.

How are you doing?

They would greet each other politely.

Tremaine noticed her smiling.

Then asked, "What are you smiling for?"

Yesseca asked, "Haven't you noticed that we keep having the same conversation every time we see each other?"

Tremaine smiled wryly.

She was right!

It was the same conversation, every time.

He didn't know what else to say to her aside from the usual polite and somewhat awkwards questions.

After saying that, things began to feel warmer between the two of them. Things didn't feel so awkward anymore.

"Let's talk about something else then," Tremaine suggested.

Yesseca nodded.

Then, the both of them simply looked at each other.

Because they both had no idea what to say to each other.

Meanwhile, Dory and Sheldon were watching them nearby.

They both hid behind a pillar in the restaurant and watched Tremaine and Yesseca.

Dory turned to Sheldon and asked, "Uncle, are they going to get married after the blind date?

She was simply parroting what the two ladies were talking about earlier.

often.

Sheldon was quiet.

He wasn't quite sure how to answer this little girl's question.

Because first of all, the president wasn't on a blind date with Yesseca.

But, was it still possible for them to get married?

Sheldon didn't think so.

He carefully watched them as he walked around.

Back then they were much younger. But due to some horrible

misunderstandings, they both parted ways. Now, they were in thei thirties.

They weren't young anymore.

Both of them weren't.

Likely because of good genes, both of their features hadn't aged much.

But despite their youthful features, they were still getting old.

Sheldon felt that if they kept

dragging this on, they might r

make any progress in their f

fifties and even sixties...

Just like that, their entire lives would pass them by.novelbin

Could they still get married?

Sheldon looked over at them.

Tremaine and Yesseca were both quietly sipping water from their cups. Both unsure of what to say to each other.

Sheldon sighed.

He had discovered some time ago that Yesseca had gotten over Tremaine and his blunder.

That's why she's able to be so calm around him now.

But there was still a huge gap between them.

Like a pair of old friends who bumped into each other by chance and having to awkwardly say hello.

That's the feeling Sheldon got with Tremaine and Yesseca.

"Uncle?" Sheldon hadn't responded to her, so Dory pulled on his sleeve.

Sheldon replied, "I don't think they'll get married."
