Chapter 27
No, no, no, this can not be happening. I am not the Alpha.
"Alex, get up. What are you doing?" I asked.
"Alpha, you have my respect and allegiance.," Alex said and bowed again. "You commanded the whole pack after they refused to listen to me. I am in debt to you for many lives would have been lost. You are the true Alpha by blood and now by command." "Oh hell no." I said as Vincent reached my side. I looked at him for help, but he just smiled. "Alpha Fillian," Vincent said with a joking grin.
"Wipe that smile off your face. If I, am Alpha here, how would I be your Luna?" I shot back at him.
"So, you are saying you want to be my Luna?" he smiled.
"AGH! Enough from both of you. I am exhausted and we must talk about this tomorrow. It is getting late and there are many who are in the morning. Alex go to Amanda. She must be lost in sorrow over Dane. They were so close." "Yes, Alpha," he said and bowed.
"And stop calling me Alpha!" I yelled as he hurried away to find Amanda. Vincent was chuckling next to me as John stood there not knowing exactly what to do.
"So you are thinking of being my Luna?" Vincent said.
"Right now, I am thinking of going to bed." This earned a broad grin from Vincent. "To sleep. I had only just recovered, and the power used drained me. Although I must be getting stronger as a witch, which means worse things for Sasha. I need to not use my powers to get her back, remember."
"Ah yes, I also remember what helps pull her is our bond." Vincent wasn't wrong.
"Let's share the room you stayed in when we first crossed paths." I spoke. "How is Katie?"
John linked Eric and said they were back with the Browns in Violet Moon Pack Territory. No one will get her there. I can rest easy knowing that. Tomorrow will be another day where we will have to figure out this whole Alpha thing, but tonight, we can at least rest in peace.
John went back to the pack house to get our room ready before retiring himself. Vincent and I walked slowly back to the pack house. I rested on him as I walked. His scent was muddled with the dirt and blood from the lives he took. I thought about the pain those families were in. It hurt me to think it could have all been avoided.
"Filli, what is going through your head?" he asked.
"Just that this is my fault and could have been avoided." I responded.
"None of what happened was your fault. You tried everything to offer life. They chose death and war." Vincent stopped walking to look at me. He was very handsome. His dark and sculptured features.
"Did Marcus scare you?" he asked.
"No, of course not. Marcus needed to deal with the situation at hand. I am glad I have such a powerful Alpha on my side." I responded. "Same here." Vincent smiled. We walked the rest of the way in silence. Once we got to the room, Vincent stripped to take a shower.
I rested on the bed for a moment, remembering when I had to clean this room. I have come a long way in such a short time. When last I was here, I was a lowly Omega beaten daily. Today the pack called me Alpha and bowed in respect. What am I going to do? I wish Sasha had been here to help.
Then I remembered what Vincent said. Our bond helps call her. I took a deep breath and rose from my position on the bed. I think I need a shower as well.
I slowly opened the door to the bathroom, changed out if my clothes and stepped into the shower with Vincent. He spun around and crashed his lips into mine. I returned the favor. Once we came up for a breath, I grabbed the sponge and soap and began to wash him.
I took special care with his member as it grew to long lengths. He spun me around, so I was facing the wall. Took the sponge from me and began washing me. The bubbles tickled my breasts. He slowly worked his way up from my feet to my middle and stopped parting my lips and taking time to please me.
"Vincent," I moaned. "I want you."
He smiled and said, "You want me where?"
I looked at him. This could change everything, but I didn't want to stop. "I want you in me." With that, he spun me around picking me up and I wrapped my legs around him. Holding me with one hand, he positioned the other so his shaft was at my entrance. "Are you sure? Once I start, I will not be able to stop." He said, looking into my eyes.
"I am sure...but Vincent no marking." I pleaded.
"This is going to hurt a little. I will try to go as slow as possible." He said and he began to move into me. Slowly, at first, I could feel his restraint as I opened for him. Suddenly he plunged and pain and bliss shot through me. He stopped moving. "Are you ok?" Instead of answering, I started to clench my thighs and move my hips on him back and forth. He took that as a yes and began to meet my rhythm. Soon I was about to climax. "Vincent!" I yelled when I reached the top. My head was spinning, it felt magnificent. I clutched him, I felt him pour into me.
He slowly lowered me to the ground, grabbed two towels and dried us off. After we were both dry, he picked me up and carried me to bed.
"Filli, I love you." Vincent said as he cradled me into his strong body. I felt safe, cared for, and loved.
"I love you too," I said, surprising myself a bit. His body warmed and tightened around me. I could feel his smile through his evening breath. "Now we both need sleep. Tomorrow I is going to be hard."All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
With that, I fell asleep in his warm embrace. I too had a smile on my face.
The morning came so soon but I was awakened to a more than ready Vincent. As he kissed my neck and over the spot where I was to be marked, I thought maybe it wouldn't be that bad to be a Luna. I still was not sure there were many things we would need to figure out before that was decided, but a replay of the shower was something I longed for. Vincent and I stayed in bed making love until John told Vincent that it was time.
Pack members were showing up to hear what the next step was from their new Alpha. Which at the time was me. So, we quickly got dressed. I braided my hair and pulled it into a top knot on my head. The Omegas had dropped off some clothes. I thanked them and pulled them on.
"So do you have a plan?" Sasha said.
"Sasha, you are back!" I exclaimed. "I thought I had really lost you."
"You came so close to marking that it pulled me to. I am still weak, so you won't be able to shift or use your magic so I can regain my strength."
"Not the best time. What if I get challenged today?"
"That is why I asked for your plan," she stated.
I didn't have one. Not yet all I knew was I did not want to add Alpha to the long line of titles I was gathering. I did not want it.
"Sasha is back." Vincent said with a smile.
"Yes. Let's head down to meet the pack." I smiled back.
"I will be right there next to you." He whispered by my side.
I took a big breath and looked in the mirror. The Omega's had brought me a tight fitted grey dress that stopped just above the knee. They included a black dress jacket. It was very professional looking. I looked like a CEO or an Alpha. Now I have 3 minutes of walking down to figure out how to get out of it.
"Vincent?" He looked towards me and nodded. "If some of these members want to join Violet Moon Pack what is the process?"
"Every pack member will prove their place in the pack. They must contribute and be placed in an area where they will fit best. Why do you ask?" he looked at me knowing I was formulating a plan.
The pack had arrived and was in the main hall waiting for the formal Alpha ceremony where they expected me to become Alpha and receive the pack link. Little did they know their whole lives were about to change.
As we stepped into the room, the pack bowed. This included Alex and Amanda whose eyes were still red from tears. My aunt was bowing. The only one who did not bow was old Alpha Adrian. My aunt pulled at his arm.
"What has this pack come to?" Adrian yelled. "You bow to an Omega. I am disgusted with you. I should kill the whole lot of you traitors for defying me. I know my son is weak, but had you saved Dane he could have led. He was strong and..."
I put my hand up. "Stop. Vincent and John, please remove Adrian from the room. That is unless he wants to challenge me."
Adrian stared at me while I stared back. Sasha growled and Adrian bowed his head. "No, Alpha," Adrian responded. I will deal with him later.
I reached the stage, and everyone looked at me. I raised my head. "Does anyone else feel the way Adrian did? If you would like to challenge me, say so now." Everyone looked around, but no one challenged. "My life has led me down many paths and I am sure a few more will come. I would like to offer you the same opportunity I was afforded by the goddess. Today you will have three paths. One transfer to Violet Moon Pack. You will be welcomed but will have to go through a challenge to be accepted and placed into your pack. Two become a rogue and leave or try to petition another pack."
Murmurs and cries reached out after that. Amanda started to sob harder, knowing she would not survive the challenge or being a Rogue. "Silence, please. I was not done. I have chosen not to become Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack." People started to yell out. "She will kill us all."
"This is revenge for how she was treated."
"Some of you are right," I said, which got their attention. "My decision is based on how I was treated. There are so many painful memories here. You are wrong, though I do not plan to kill you or get revenge. I plan to give the Alpha leadership back to Alex." Alex looked up from his kneeling spot. I motioned him to join me. He did it with caution.
I continued, "Alex has what I believe is great power for an Alpha. He is not feared but he is loved by his people. By you. I have learned recently there are only two things that move people to action: fear and love. You have been ruled by fear for many generations. It is time to be ruled by respect and love."
I looked at Alex. He was still gazing at me in shock. "Let Alpha Alex back into your hearts where he was when he was growing up. Most of the recent pain your pack has gone through was because of Dane and Adrian, not Alex. I can attest that up until lately he didn't even know the power he held in him. Does anyone here want to challenge Alpha Alex?"
No one challenged. I looked at Alex and smiled. "Alex, please take the Alpha oath and accept the Dark Moon Pack as your true pack." Alex did and some pack members automatically connected. Others were still trying to decide.
"You have until tomorrow morning to tell us your decision. Three paths lay in front of you. What you choose is up to you and you only." I turned to Alex. "Lunch in your office?"
With that, I turned to exit. I wanted to have lunch in my room, but we still had things to discuss. When I turned around, I found Vincent beaming at me. I knew he saw me as a strong Luna, and I think I was seeing it myself. Sasha was jumping for joy in my head.
