Chapter 26 Her deepest fear
“You are so absorbed in thought,” Thomas remarked.
“I feel like these few years have gone by too fast. Not that I am complaining. These were the best years of my life. I have never been this happy before. It’s just sometimes it’s too overwhelming.” Arielle explained as she hooked her arms around his neck.
“Do you want to go somewhere just you, me, and Adrian? To relax and have your me time.” Thomas asked as he picked her up by the waist.
She wrapped her legs around his waist as he started to walk to the bed.
“That sounds like a good idea. Maybe wait a few months. The twins will be moving with Joe and Rick soon. Let’s let them get used to it first. I have yet to stop breastfeeding. It will take a while.” She said, tracing his face with her fingers.
“Are you happy?” He asked as he lay her on the bed and hovered on top.
“I am not sure. I don’t regret it. It will be hard in the beginning. But at the end of the day, the twins are our kids. They are just a wall away.” She explained, understanding what he meant.
“Joe has not stopped smiling since I got pregnant. It is the happiest I have seen him in his entire life, especially after his parents passed away. They were his rock; they were so close. Ar and I used to be so envious. So, I understand the deep-seated need to have a family of their own. I am happy I could give him that happiness. I would not take away that happiness for the world.”
Thomas knew her well enough to see through her words. “But?” he asked.
“I am afraid the kids will resent us for giving them away. We have Adrian and the kid we are planning with us. But those kids will not have our names under parents or guardians and won’t live with us.” Arielle confessed her deepest fear.
“I have thought about that too. We can always ensure it does not happen. The kids, all four of them, in fact, all 6 of them, can live in all three houses. They won’t ever be uncomfortable. Besides, they will understand it when they grow up.” He explained. It was one of the first things that had crossed his mind when they had agreed to surrogacy.
“Hmm! I feel better now. I would not change it for the world.” She sighed.
“Don’t overthink! We will handle everything together,” He consoled her as he traced her face with his lips without kissing her.
“Why did you bring me to a hotel?” She asked as her breath hitched and her body arched for closer contact.
“Why do you think I brought you here?” He teased as he blew on her ears and neck on her sensitive spots.
“I am too preoccupied to think right now.” She said as she tilted her head upwards to give him better access.
“To screw you, of course,” he crassly said to infuriate her.
Knowing his designs, she teased back. “I thought you wanted to reminisce about how we met.”
Thomas had to laugh. “By getting all turned on and then not fucking you.”
Arielle laughed as well, “Look where it led us.”
Thomas kissed her passionately and asked before they lost themselves, “Are you sure you are fine?”
“I will be if you screw me. Nice and proper.” She challenged him with a wink.
“Let’s not waste our time then!” He said as they both started to take off their clothes.
“Wait!” She exclaimed as he tried to touch her again.
“What?” He cried in alarm.
“Shower! I feel all weird with gel on my abdomen.” She pouted.
“Right!” He said as they both stripped naked before he picked her up and made his way to the bathroom. They had to wear the same clothes on their way back.
After a steamy shower, they were both too aroused for anything else.
Thomas had held back on going all the way in the shower. As hot as shower sex always felt, Arielle’s body was still recovering from having twins.
He had always been gentle after they started doing it again after childbirth.
“God, I am dying,” Arielle said as he picked her up and started walking when she thought he would do it.
“Hold on, baby! The bed’s right there.” he coaxed as he walked slowly and steadily. It would have been too embarrassing if they slipped and fell. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
