One Night Stand

Chapter 13

Chapter 13

Gabriella’s POV

"Good morning,” Mrs. Hills said

"I'm really sorry I overslept yesterday afternoon. This morning, I awoke and had a bath, as I needed to

drop Xander off at school and then return home to change and head to work."

"It's all right; we visited your room last night, but you were deep asleep. We did not want to disturb you,

so we retired to our rooms. Xander is all set to go to school. He is already clothed."

"Oh my God, I'm so grateful. Mrs. Hills"

"You may address me as Grandma," she replied, smiling. I spotted Xander, all dressed up, coming

down the stairs. He rushed over to me.

"Mommy!"

"How have you been, champ?"

Come check out my room; it's very cool."

“Grandma and I went shopping and purchased a variety of items.”

I trailed after him as he pulled me into his room. I was in amazement when he opened the door. The

room was well decorated, with toys strewn around and a colossal bed. I came close to crying. I was

speechless. Why had Mrs. Hills been so kind to me?" Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

We descended, and she invited us to brunch with her.

I checked the time and realized that getting a cab home would be difficult, but I couldn't say no to her

after she had been so sweet to us. After dining, I brought Xander with me and was about to request an

Uber when she inquired as to what I was doing; I informed her that I was requesting, and she urged me

not to.

"Here," she said, and I extended my hand without peeking at what she was clutching. Your car is

parked outside. Utilize it wisely. I articulated that you and Xander need a car, and that car would

undoubtedly compliment you, and it's the greatest option for Xander. I tried to tell her no once again,

but she cut me off. This car is yours, and I'm refusing to take it back."

"Thank you," I said as I gazed at her and hugged her.

"You are quite welcome; now go; you will be late." When I got outside, a large car was waiting for me.

I've never seen a car quite like that in my life. It seemed to be rather costly. I glanced at her and then

approached her, hugging her and said, "Thank you, Grandma."

"You are more than welcome, child. "Now go before you're late," she kissed my brow. I entered the car

and was taken aback. The car's interior was out of this world. When I return from work, I'll enquire with

Alex about the brand of the car.
