Chapter 31
“I am Jorge Barson, and I need to see Beatrice Sammers.
“Please wait here for a moment. I need to get Mrs. Sammers‘ personal nurse. first.”
Jorge was becoming impatient. He hadn’t anticipated that visiting his ex–wife would become such a hassle.
“Haven’t you heard of me? I’m Jorge Barson, the CEO of Barson Group and Beatrice Sammers ex- husband! How dare you make me wait?” Jorge said angrily.
A nurse overheard the conversation and approached.
“Miss Roberts, come here!” the reception called. “Sir, this is the exclusive nurse of Mrs. Beatrice’s ward. You can ask her to schedule an appointment or inform Mrs. Beatrice to see if she can visit her.” The girl explained to Jorge, who nodded.
“Sir, do you want to visit Mrs. Beatrice?” the nurse asked, and Jorge simply nodded without responding. “Alright, and what is your name?”
“I am Mr. Barson, he replied, rolling his eyes. All this trouble was just to visit a simple woman with nothing to her name.
“I asked for a name. Please answer with your full name,” Roberts was meticulous. They wouldn’t let just anyone in.
“I am just visiting the patient. Do I still need to show you an identification card?” Jorge asked angrily.
“Sir, if you are here for a visit, please cooperate. We are not checking your account; we are just tryin verify your identity,” Roberts explained, irritated by his attitude.

“Why do you want to visit Mrs. Sammers?” Roberts asked sternly.
“Is that important?” Jorge roared. “Now, bring Beatrice Sammers out to see me immediately.” He pointed at Roberts angrily, growing impatient with Roberts‘ demeanor, as he was used to being catered to.
“I’m sorry, sir, but Mrs. Sammers is one of our VIP clients. We need to get her personal consent first,” Roberts replied solemnly.
In case you don’t know, a few days ago, a well–dressed lady came to visit Mrs. Samers, and she seemed to be a mistress and deliberately provoked Mrs. Samers, causing the patient to almost jump off the building!”
Roberts explained the reason for so much bureaucracy, which confused Jorge slightly by the nurse’s words. “Since then, Mrs. Samers‘ family explained that no one can visit her without permission.”
“She must have pretended to jump off the building!” Jorge couldn’t help but argue. The woman they were talking about was his wife, not a mistress.
“Pretend? I was at the scene at the time, and that mistress‘ appearance is simply too hateful! If I were Mrs. Samers, I wouldn’t have slapped her!” Roberts replied and gave Jorge a disgusted look, and seeing how this person in front of her was dressed, he must be something to that woman.
Jorge opened his mouth but couldn’t say anything to refute it. His wife was young and kind. How could she be what they said?

Jorge believed that these people must have misunderstood the situation, and Suelen seemed to be hated by everyone, like a rat crossing the street. That made him feel even more sorry for his wife. She still suffered like a mistress because of him.
At that time, when Beatrice chose to divorce, she made a point of exposing Suelen and Olivia, causing Suelen to be labeled as a mistress for the rest of her life, but she endured it in silence.
Even these ignorant little nurses could still dare to insult her behind her back like this, and Jorge held the anger in his heart. Only he knew how irritated he was with these ignorant li
nurses who knew nothing
Just as he was about to continue arguing with Roberts, a voice sounded behind him.
“Jorge? What are you doing here?”
Jorge and Roberts turned around to see Beatrice standing at the doorway of the room. She was frowning at Jorge, her eyes filled with unmistakable disdain.
Beatrice wears a light brown knitted cardigan. The illness had tormented her for several months, and she was already thin, and now she had become even thinner.
However, her temperament was still the same as in previous years; she was too proud and preferred to die rather than bow down to anyone.
After the divorce, they never saw each other again, and Beatrice stared at Jorge. Although she controlled her anger, she couldn’t control her body.
Jorge, it’s been over ten years, and I didn’t expect you to be even more arrogant! Elisa is your daughter! If you don’t love her, just leave her alone! How could you allow Suelen to force Elisa to marry someone in a coma?” Beatrice roared.
Jorge couldn’t contain his anger after being reprimanded like this.
“Beatrice, do you still have the nerve to accuse me? Don’t think I don’t know what you did behind my back!” Jorge retorted.
“And what did I do behind your back?” Beatrice didn’t understand how Jorge could still have the audacity to question her.
*Elisabeth came to me asking for money, then she hit Suelen and reported me on the internet for bribery. These things are all your orders, right?” He asked, and Beatrice only knew that Elisa had gone to ask him for money, but she didn’t know what would happen next.
Secing Beatrice’s expression, Jorge said sarcastically, “Don’t pretend! Suelen was arrested, so your goal was achieved! The person you want to deal with is me. Who ordered you to do this? Is the goal to stop the company from going public?”
Beatrice was stunned by all these details. The amount of information Jorge was giving her was too much to digest. NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
“Why was Suelen arrested?” She didn’t care about anything else. What mattered most to her was Suelen. After all, if she was arrested, she deserved it.
After being questioned about this, Jorge suddenly became speechless.
