Chapter 28
"What are you doing here?" Alpha Leo asked, caressing my hair.
Who
I looked up at this face without saying anything in reply. His hands moved from my hair to my face. "What happened to your face? Did someone hit you?" He furrowed his brows and looked up at the tower. dared I to do so?" He snarled, his eyes turning black. Alpha Leo moved away from me. I could see his wolf surface. His muscles were getting bigger and his nails elongated. "Nobody did this to me. I did this to myself," I yelled and Alpha Leo froze. He got himself back and moved back to me. His thumb danced around my face. "Why will you do this to yourself?" He looked skeptical. He frowned. "Are you lying to me? And, why will you come here? I have been watching you. You seemed scared so I followed you because I felt you were being threatened." I stiffened. Noticing my movement, he cocked an eyebrow. "I'm right, aren't I?"
I shook my head in denial. "I came here to cool off. I was just at war with myself. A lot has been going through my mind, so I came here to blow off steam. I did not come here to see anybody. This place has always been isolated. Nobody was with me." "Stop lying to me," He growled and I cowered. "I-I am not lying."
His hard facial expression softened and then he drew me closer to himself, pulling me into a warm hug. "Why will you hurt yourself? If you don't feel too good, you should meet me. I'll try my best to make you feel better." I leaned closer to him, allowing myself to enjoy the hug. The thought of accepting Alpha Leo completely in my life came, but I quickly brushed it away.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
I was able to stop Alpha Leo from going up the tower and he drove me back home. Immediately we got to the mansion, Janice was at the front door waiting for us.
She rushed to me and gave me a hug. "Darius told me that the Alpha had picked you up from Paragon Tower. And-" she paused to study my face. "Why is your face like this? Did someone hit you?"
"That was the same question I asked her," Alpha Leo chipped in.
"I hit myself," I lied again and Janice gave me a doubtful look, but she said nothing to counter my words. She turned to Leo. "Alpha Leo, you should go back to work. I will take care of her."
I held on to her and nodded in agreement.

Alpha Leo frowned. can take care of her too. By the way, we should have had our honeymoon. This is an opportunity to do so."
I shook my head in disagreement. "I think Janice's idea is much better."
He
e looked disappointed at my words. "You went to Paragon tower all by yourself and when you came out, your face was all swollen. There is no way I am leaving you without making sure you're one hundred percent okay." "I think you will have to," Beta Darius chipped in as he joined us. He bowed his head to the Alpha. "Greetings Alpha." He turned to Janice and I. "Greetings, Luna." He smiled when his eyes met Janice's. He held out his hand and she placed hers in his, he gave her hand a small, affectionate squeeze before finally letting it go. Darius look
looked back at Alpha Leo. "The representative from Nord Pack for an important trade has arrived."
"Rita," Alpha Leo called out softly and my heart fluttered. "I will make time for us to talk. You might feel we don't have to but

it is necessary. We should talk more so the case with Ivy would not happen again."
I stiffened at
request for us to talk more. He was right. I should have told him about Sebastian, but at the same time I was scared. If my nudes were released to the internet, even if Sebastian would be severely punished, I wouldn't only be in trouble, Alpha Leo would be affected too.

I had to keep everything to myself.
Then
you two should go on a date," Janice proposed and my eyes widened in alarm.
"I doubt there will be any need for a date," I said, frowning at Janice.
"I like the idea. I'll arrange our first date before the day runs out," Alpha Leo said and without waiting for me to respond he left with his Beta.
I moved away from Janice and glared at her. I almost got killed during 'my date' with Sebastian and now I would have another date before the day runs out.
"He is your mate. Why are you glaring at me?" Janice pouted.
I heaved a sigh.
Right.
Janice knew nothing about what I was passing through. I honestly wished I could tell her everything. "I just wanted to rest well," I lied and she c***d an eyebrow at me.
"Darius told me that the Alpha picked you at Paragon Tower. I know that you and Sebastian met there regularly while the both of you were still together."
I looked away from her. "You're just overthinking the situation."
"I am? Well, I don't want to overthink anything again, so just tell me what is going on in your life. I know you're hiding something from me."

I looked back at her, then to my feet. "Why should I hide anything from you?" My throat turned dry and I slowly looked up at

"I know, right?" She stared at me, expecting me to say something, but when I did not, she let out a sigh. "Fine. If you want to hide things from me, no problem, but you should at least tell your mate if there is anything bugging you. We both know that the Alpha would do anything to o make you happy. He even made you his Luna." 'I'm just his contract Luna,' I wanted to say, but I kept my mouth shut. I could see how much Janice was disappointed in me, but what could I do?
My phone beeped.
!
I knew that the message was from Sebastian. Janice's eyes were on my face, so I did not check it.
I cleared my throat. "I'll be going to my room now."
She frowned. "And what about me? I am here to take care of your

"Let's go to my room then. We shouldn't be outside." I added an awkward laugh and Janice squirted her eyes, as if she was trying to figure me out. "Come on," I urged and we headed to my room.
When Janice was not looking, she opened the message.

Cancel the date you will have with the Alpha. Tell him you're not interested and be very stern. You should make him feel you hate him."
I clenched my fists.
It was official, Sebastian was a psychopath and I had to deal with him.
