Remorse After Breaking Up

Chapter 606

Chapter 606From NôvelDrama.Org.

Everyone entered Misty Forest together, and most chose to form teams.

Although the outer apprentices were strong, they weren't warriors. While they might struggle in one-on-one combat, teaming up with two or three others greatly increased their chances of success.

Of course, sometimes the outer apprentices also formed teams, so passing the assessment was far from easy.

Kyle initially planned to team up with Sebastian, but Tina stopped him.

"What are you doing, Tina? Sebastian is really strong, and he might even be a warrior. If we team up with him, passing the assessment would be a breeze," Kyle said.

Tina rolled her eyes. "Kyle, you're being too naive. Sebastian might be powerful, but he's made enemies with Mr. McGraw and Ms. Knott. They won't let him off easily and will definitely use this opportunity to deal with him. If we team up with him, we'll just get dragged down too."

Bernie nodded in agreement. "Tina's right. Not only should we avoid teaming up with him, but it's also better to assist Mr. McGraw and Ms. Knott against him.

"After all, we were previously on Sebastian's team. There's a risk that Mr. McGraw and Ms. Knott might hold a grudge against us. We can only redeem ourselves by helping them."

"But we were teammates before, and he even saved us. Not teaming up with him is one thing, but turning against him is too despicable, isn't it?" Kyle hesitated.

Bernie coldly replied, "That's a naive way of thinking. If you don't look out for yourself, you're doomed. If we don't take action against him, and Mr. McGraw and Ms. Knott come after us, we won't just lose our chance to join the Netherworld Sect-we might not even survive.

"At worst, we can bring flowers to his grave after he's gone."

Tina nodded in agreement. "Bernie's right. That settles it then."

Kyle thought it over and realized they had a point, so he reluctantly agreed.

As Sebastian entered Misty Forest, he quickly sensed someone following him. Activating his spiritual sense, he immediately detected Wallace and his two lackeys, along with Kyle and the others.

He wasn't surprised that Wallace was tailing him, but seeing Kyle's group also on his trail left him puzzled.

Pretending not to notice, Sebastian leaped onto a tall tree.

The assessment this time was different from the previous one. Before, participants needed to seize others' tokens, but now they had to protect their own.

The best strategy was to find a place to hide, except for those particularly confident in their abilities, like Wallace and Heather.

Their strength was formidable enough that even outer apprentices hesitated to provoke them.

Feeling that enough time had passed, Wallace quickly approached the tree where Sebastian was hiding and shouted, "You scoundrel, get down here!"

Sebastian looked down from his perch and warned, "Mr. McGraw, I advise you not to provoke me, or it won't end well for you!"

"How dare you! You actually have the audacity to threaten Mr. McGraw? You must have a death wish!" His two lackeys immediately shouted in anger.

Wallace was infuriated and let out a cold laugh. "A lowly nobody dares to threaten me? I'll make sure there's nothing left of you after I kill you!"

At that moment, Kyle and his group arrived and greeted Wallace, "Greetings, Mr. McGraw!"

"Who are you?" Wallace demanded.

Tina quickly responded with a smile, "Mr. McGraw, we previously teamed up with this guy, but we soon parted ways. We had no idea he would have the nerve to offend someone as powerful as you. He's utterly despicable, and we'd like to make up for our mistake by helping you deal with him!"

Wallace snorted in disdain, "He's just a worthless nobody. Crushing him is as easy as squashing an ant. I don't need your help for that!"

Tina was still eager to please and replied, "Of course, Mr. McGraw. With your unmatched skill, you don't need our help. But we would be honored to witness your extraordinary prowess in action."

Wallace was clearly pleased by Tina's wordings. He leered at her and said, "You're quite the smooth talker, and not bad-looking either. After I finish with him, how about I take you somewhere private to have some fun?"

"Thank you, Mr. McGraw, it would be my honor to serve you," Tina said, excitement evident in her voice. The prospect of becoming Wallace's woman, even just as a mistress, promised significant benefits.

Sebastian shook his head in dismay. He realized that the people he had saved were nothing but ungrateful traitors, each more treacherous than the last.

It seemed he'd have to stop getting involved in other people's affairs in the future.

Bernie looked up at Sebastian and sneered, "Sebastian, Mr. McGraw told you to get down here. Are you deal?"
