Chapter 260
When Barclay was away on business, Moira would count on her fingers every day to figure out when he would be back. Now that he was back, she found herself once again counting on her fingers, this time trying to restrain her little schemes.
But thankfully, Felix's concert was approaching, and Moira, being the dedicated freelance pianist she was, had her mind occupied with that.
The concert was scheduled for tomorrow night at eight, and Moira needed to attend the rehearsal today.
It was rare for her to leave the house with Barclay in the morning, and as they reached the doorstep, Moira suddenly remembered the concert tomorrow night.
Felix had sent her five tickets for the concert yesterday, and Moira had given two to Juliet. With three tickets left, she gave two to Lenka and kept one for Barclay.
Of course, she didn't mean anything by it. It was just a gesture.
"Well... so, Felix's concert is tonight. I have tickets. Are you going?"
He looked at her, didn't say yes or no, and just asked, "What time does it start?"
"At eight," she replied.
"When do you perform?" he asked directly, making Moira blush slightly.
"During the opening and intermission," she said.
The concert lasted two hours in total, but her time on stage was just for two songs, not even ten minutes in total.
No wonder she thought earning those 600 thousand dollars was a piece of cake!
"Okay," he said and took the ticket from her hand.
Their cars parked in front of the venue, one after the other. Lenka watched Moira and Barclay from inside the car and thought they looked very affectionate. As Moira got into the car, she noticed Lenka smiling at her.
"You're giving me the creeps with that look," Moira said, feeling goosebumps.
"Sweetie, do you and Mr. Covington say goodbye so tenderly like this every morning?" Lenka asked.
Did Moira and Barclay really look like they were saying goodbye so tenderly just now?
The adjective Lenka used made Moira's ears burn red.
She coughed and changed the subject. "Let's hurry up. We have to rehearse twice today!"
After all, it was 600 thousand dollars, and she had to put in some effort!
Lenka looked meaningfully at Moira.
"I understand!" she said, then turned her gaze to the driver. "Let's go!"
Moira didn't say anything. What did Lenka understand?
Lenka glanced at Moira and then at the Maybach driving ahead. She couldn't help but sigh. "True love between a real couple!"
'Sorry, we're just pretending to be a couple!' Moira wondered.
Of course, Moira kept that thought to herself.
The car soon arrived at the concert venue, and Felix's setup was indeed grand.
Moira had attended many performances and competitions, but she had never seen such a grand stage setup before.
No wonder everyone wanted to break into the entertainment industry. Making money was so easy for them!
Just as she was thinking this, Felix's manager approached them. "Ms. Jimenez, Miss Sweeney, thank you for your hard work."
With a paycheck of 600 thousand
dollars, Moira was too happy to
complain about being tired. "It']
pleasure, Mr. Fraser. Let's head inside!"
Felix had invited quite a few special guests, and the highlight was his mentor, Orion Jude.
As Moira entered, Felix was chatting with other guests, and Zachary led them over.
The stage was fully set up, and technicians were busy adjusting equipment. Rehearsals were about to begin.
Felix was in the middle of a
conversation when he saw Moira. He raised an eyebrow and his gaze landed directly on her. "Let me introduce you. This is my specially invited guest, the genius pianist,
Moira Jimenez."
Moira had heard the title, the genius pianist, before, but hearing Felix say it in front of so many VIPS made her feel a bit awkward.

many grand occasions before.
Though she felt embarrassed inside,
she remained gracious outwardly. "Hello, everyone. I'm Moira Jimenez."
"Mr. Hart flatters me," she added modestly.
After the brief exchange, the coordinator announced that they could begin rehearsals.
As Moira was the first to be on stage for the first song, she needed to prepare immediately.
