“Joanna, aren’t you going overboard?” Simon asked immediately.

“That’s the point. It wouldn’t be a challenge if it weren’t daring, would it?” Joanna wiggled her wrist and flashed a smile at Simon, trying to appear innocent. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Simon frowned at her. He clenched his right hand into a fist. He hadn’t interacted much with Joanna before, and now he was beginning to see how unreasonable she could be.

“Fine,” Millie said as she stepped forward to stand next to Joanna.

“You don’t have to accept her challenge, Mills,” Simon reminded

hér.

Millie was never one to back down from a challenge. She meant it when she said she would do something. She raised an eyebrow and replied, “It’s just a kiss. What’s there to be afraid of? It’s not like I haven’t kissed someone before.”

Winston’s expression turned colder as he narrowed his eyes. He wondered about the meaning behind her words. He called out, ”

Millie.”

Millie looked at him with a serene expression.

“Are you sure? Do you really want to compete with Jo?” Winston asked sternly, his voice growing deeper.

“Mr. Greer, are you worried that I might lose and end up kissing someone else?” Millie teased as she looked directly at Winston.

Winston snorted. His expression turned serious as he replied in a sarcastic tone, “Who you kiss is none of my business. I’m just worried that you’ll lose terribly!”

At first, Joanna was startled to hear Winston call out to Millie. She

kept her eyes on him but was relieved to learn that he didn’t care about Millie at all. She smirked and her eyes began to glow with

smugness.

Millie and Joanna exchanged a look before quickly going into competitive mode. Millie felt an unusual calm in her heart as she focused on the hole in the distance.

Even though Simon was a calm and mature man, he couldn’t help but feel a tad anxious in this situation. He snapped, “M Greer, Millie’s your wife. It’s hurtful the way you and your new flame are ganging up on her like this.”

“Isn’t she the one you’re seeing now?” Winston turned to Simon.

With a smile, Simon replied, “Winston, Millie can’t play golf. She’ll definitely lose! Aren’t you bothered by her kissing another guy?”

Even if it was true that Winston had no feelings for Millie, the divorce proceedings were still in progress. Simon couldn’t believe that Winston would be fine with his wife kissing another man.

Winston’s expression remained unreadable.

“Or maybe you and Ms. Lowell have already…” Simon stared at Winston, his words fading.

“Mr. Harrison, I’ll give you some leeway out of respect for your father. But please, mind your manners!” Winston sounded annoyed.

Simon frowned and decided not to argue anymore.

Winston looked ahead with a somber expression. Millie took two shots but missed both.

Meanwhile, Joanna was doing great. She made three out of five shots. She looked at Millie every time she took a shot to keep Millie under pressure.

Although Millie seemed calm, she was starting to sweat 1:

her forehead. She still couldn’t get the ball into the hole on her third attempt.

Winston felt an unexplained sense of unease in his chest. Simon’s words kept replaying in his thoughts. He quietly criticized Millie for being a person who had always put up a brave front since high school. She competed with Joanna even though she couldn’t play golf.

“Mills, why not give up?” Joanna whispered.

Instead of replying, Millie took her fourth shot.
