Chapter 14
Happy reading….
“Don’t you have a more modest dress?” Haidar asked the woman who was standing beside him. She looks very busy with her cell phone.
“No,” said Viona briefly, making Haidar just roll his eyes lazily.
Now they are in the elevator to Haidar’s room. The man had asked Viona to stay in the apartment, but the woman refused with the alibi of wanting to see Haidar’s office.
“At least you can appreciate my office a little, Vio,” said Haidar again after they had arrived at the room which was dominated by white and black. Even the painting on the wall only had those two neutral colors. Very describing a Haidar.
“My clothes are always like this. Why do you look uncomfortable?” Viona asked now sitting on the sofa in front of Haidar’s desk.
“You can wear it when you are in the apartment. But when you come here, wear more polite clothes,” said Haidar again as he hung up his coat and then sat on his oversized chair.
“You’re too talkative!” Viona grumbled as if she didn’t care at all what Haidar said. “Even though I look very beautiful and sexy in this outfit,” she continued to see her own appearance. Even Viona looks very satisfied with the gray oufit. A cut shirt that shows her slim waist is combined with a short skirt above the knee.
Perfect.
“Tsk! You are indeed very beautiful and sexy, even making all my employees look at you without blinking,” said Haidar.
“How about you yourself? Do you think I’m beautiful and sexy?” Viona asked with sparkling eyes.
“I think it’s normal,” said Haidar spontaneously.
Viona’s expression turned sullen. “You’re so mean,” she grumbled making Haidar chuckle.
Viona rose from her seat to the bookshelf. Maybe there are readings that can accompany her while waiting for Haidar to finish his work.
Drrtt….
Haidar’s cell phone that was on the table vibrated. The man gets a message notification. He turned his gaze to the phone. When he saw the sender’s name, Haidar smiled.
He picked up the square object to read the message that was there. The smile on his face grew wider, revealing Haidar’s small, neatly arranged teeth.
“Who did you receive the message from?” Viona asked curiously. This was the first time she had seen Haidar so happy when he got the message.
“Nobody,” Haidar evaded and put his cell phone in his trouser pocket.
“From your lover huh?” guessed the typical excited Viona with Haidar’s teasing tone.
“If so, then why?”
“What? You really have a girlfriend?” Viona asked with a face that was difficult to interpret.
“I’m a grown man. In fact, I should have a wife by now,” said Haidar lightly without looking at Viona.
“You can’t have a lover, Haidar!”
Haidar suddenly looked up. He saw the look of anger in Viona’s eyes.
‘What’s wrong with Viona? Can’t she be jealous? What’s the point of her being jealous of his own best friend?’ Haidar thought.
“Why? You want me to be single for the rest of my life?” asked Haidar ending with a small chuckle.
“Anyway, you can’t have a lover!” Viona shouted slamming the book in her hand on the floor and then left Haidar’s room.
“What’s with the girl?” Haidar muttered, looking surprised at Viona’s departure.

“Mama will come to visit more often so you won’t be so lonely when Jayden isn’t home,” Jane said smiling gently at Hera.
“Sure, Ma. Mama can come at any time,” Hera replied, smiling too. Elvis got into the car that picked them up first, followed by Jane after hugging Hera and Jayden in turn.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
After the car left the yard, Hera and Jayden went back into the house. Hera took care of Juan assisted by Ara while Jayden got ready to go to the office.
“Jayden?” called Hera after a moment of silence in the living room.
“What is it?” Jayden asked tidying up his look.
“Juan has a check up at the hospital today. Can you come along?” asked Hera.
“I’m busy. I have to check the construction site today,” Jayden replied without turning his head.
A mistake because Hera thought that the husband would care if it involved the child but apparently not at all.
“Okay,” said Hera shortly. She then rose from her seat to prepare everything assisted by Ara.
“Madam, want me to accompany you?” the woman in her twenties asked Hera.
“No need, Ara. I can do it myself,” replied Hera, not forgetting to smile so that the woman would not be too hurt.
“Okay, Madam Hera,” said Ara in the affirmative.
“You just carry on with your other work,” said Hera, to which Ara immediately nodded.
They then walked out of the house holding a light hug.
“Oh, Mr. Jayden hasn’t left yet?” Ara said making Hera turn to where Jayden’s car was still parked in front of the house.
Jayden rolled down his car window. “Hurry up! I’ll take you,” Jayden said and then re-raised the windshield.
“Turns out he still cares,” Hera mumbled walking over to Jayden’s car with Ara following her, carrying Hera’s bag.
The car was moving at a moderate speed. No one made a sound. Jayden was busy driving while Hera tried to calm Juan down. Somehow the little baby was a little fussy.
There really was no conversation between them. Even when she got to the hospital Jayden just left without saying anything. Hera couldn’t help but take a deep breath. What did she expect anyway?
“What happened last night, think of it as just a dream, Hera,” Hera muttered as if she was waking herself up.
Juan’s check-up session was not as long as Hera expected. But what overwhelmed Hera was Juan suddenly cranky and cried loudly. Even though she just had to pay for the medicine and then go home. For some reason she regretted not letting Ara go with her earlier.
“Juan, what’s wrong with you honey?” Hera asked frustrated because Juan didn’t keep quiet. She hugged and stroked Juan’s back hoping that the child would be quiet.
Hera was a little afraid that Juan would have a fever from crying too much. The woman looked for a seat while continuing to silence Juan.
“Stop crying, Juan. I beg you!” Hera whispered with teary eyes.
“Excuse me!” someone said from beside Hera. The woman turned. “You seem to be having a hard time keeping it quiet. Can I help you?” asked the figure smiling faintly.
Hera nodded slowly. “Sure,” she answered, handing Juan into the figure’s arms. And unexpectedly Juan suddenly stopped crying. Staring while smiling though still sobbing a little towards the figure who is now carrying her.
“Wow! Juan you are so naughty,” said Hera chuckling. Sometimes the child immediately fell silent in the man’s arms.
“I think he likes me,” said the figure in a very proud tone.
Hera smiled wider there as she gently brushed Juan’s head which was covered with thick hair.
“Thank you very much, Mr. Haidar Pratama.”
