Farrah said sincerely, “Thank you, Mr. Locke,”

He frowned, looking slightly displeased. She hurriedly said, “Thank you, Adrian.”

Ten minutes later, they arrived at Philip’s ward.

“Grandpa.”

When Philip, who’d only caught a little cold, saw Adrian and Farrah show up with their arms linked, he broke into a wide grin. “You two are finally together as I wished! This is great! Now, show me your marriage certificate.”

“Don’t you believe me, Grandpa? Adrian looked gentle and easygoing, like he was a completely different person. He held out the marriage certificate.

Farrah had brought hers, too. She showed it to Philip.

He took the marriage certificates and looked at them together. Compared to Philip’s joy, Adrian was calm. If he couldn’t marry Sierra Madden, marrying anyone else was the same for him.

Philip returned the marriage certificates to them before holding their hands. Then, he placed Farrah’s hand in Adrian’s. Adrian instinctively wanted to pull away but controlled himself, forcing himself to hold Farrah’s hand.

Farrah felt a little nervous. She’d never been in such close contact with someone of the opposite gender before, so she was a little uneasy. She looked at Adrian shyly.

He was handsome, and he carried himself with poise. There was something cold and aloof about him–he never looked at her, always leaving her with a view of his side profile.

The warmth of their palms mingled. Philip held their hands tight and said seriously, “You two are a family, now that you’re married. Remember to always support each other, okay?”
