The CEOs Possession

Auction

Veil freshened up and slipped into the dress Anderson gave her. The floor-length ink-black gown was an embodiment of elegance and allure. It seemed to be crafted from luxurious flowing fabric that draped gracefully. The silhouette was sleek, accentuating her curves tastefully. Not so tight, and not so free. It was the right size. How did he know her exact size?

She assessed her reflection in the mirror and her jaw almost dropped. The dress was way too exposing than she’d have liked. Its plunging neckline left cleaves that she preferred to cover up in the open, and the thigh-to-foot length slit, exposed her tanned legs each time she walked. Why did it feel like this event was mostly to see her naked?

She slipped into the pair of shoes and gave herself one last look, then went downstairs to wait for the driver’s arrival. She was surprised to find the car already standing by, waiting for her. The chauffeur hopped down and opened the back seat for her. Her eyes went wide as saucers the moment she climbed on. In the backseat was Anderson Rodriguez sitting in his usual poise and looking as though he had just walked straight out of the front cover of a Fashion magazine hot and spicy in a navy blue suit. She had never seen him in that color before, but it suited his olive skin perfectly. Why was he here though? Did he not say he’d send his driver? Well, it was obviously his driver who came, just that he had to come along.

“Evening Mr Rodriguez. Thank you for the lift.” She didn’t say anything else, looking outside her window at the city’s bustling nightlife. Dressed in such sensual clothing that had almost her full breasts on display, and sitting in a closed-up space with a man who had threatened her sexuality a few times, she suddenly felt self-conscious. Clothes like these were something she’d only wear to a dinner date with a lover, not a formal event with her boss. She tugged at the thin neckline trying to cover up her exposed cleaves which hadn’t mattered too much until now. Then she tried covering the part with the slit which had one spotless lap in display. Why didn’t she think of pairing this outfit with a jacket?

“You look beautiful Ms Hart.” The breathy way he said her name in the end made her breath hitch. Didn’t he know better than to avoid an uncomfortable woman?

She turned in his direction and flashed him a professional smile. “It’s all thanks to Mr Rodriguez that I look this ravishing tonight.”

The innuendo her words carried was clear, it made Anders chuckle. Yes, the dress had been bought with a specific order description from him and it was everything he had imagined- sexy and revealing.

They arrived at the hotel, a seven-star ginormous building where only men of his caliber would go. The chauffeur opened the door for them and Anders got down first. Veil was about to follow behind when she saw him offer his hand. The spark was electric as their hands came in contact as he guided her forward with an action that said, ‘Ladies first.’

She took the lead, walking ahead of him leaving her back which was left visible through the deep V-line at the back of the dress. She should have insisted on letting her hair fall freely instead of packing it in a bun when she had gone to the salon earlier because her entire back was left for the world to take a peek at.

Flashes of camera lights from the paparazzi bombarded them as they passed the red carpet. Anders knowingly avoided it, having his face all over the News, was one of his too many disliked.

They found a seat in the front row as the party began. Soon, it was time for the auction.

The grand hall echoed with a hum of anticipation as the auctioneer stepped onto the stage, the spotlight following his every move. Rows of elegantly dressed bidders sat in hushed excitement, their eyes fixed on the items displayed under the gleaming lights.

The first item, a vintage pocket watch with intricate engravings, took center stage. The auctioneer’s voice sliced through the silence, setting the tone for the evening. Bidding paddles shot up, and the rapid-fire banter of the auctioneer reached a crescendo as the numbers climbed.

Amid the bidding frenzy, a mysterious woman in a crimson gown caught everyone’s attention. Her eyes gleamed with determination as she raised her paddle with a subtle grace. The room fell silent for a moment, captivated by the enigma in red.
