Chapter 2041
"That's right. I don't die that easily!"
A voice boomed, and a towering figure opened the thirty-foot tall doors of the memorial hall as he strode in.
Naturally, it was none other than Frank, who had rushed to the memorial hall from the slums of South Zamri. "Huh?!"
"What?!"
Everyone watched in astonishment as Frank strode down the center of the hall toward the crystal casket at the center.
His cheeks were flushed, his expression nonchalant. He definitely looked sharp in his suit on top of that—a far cry from his miserable self just a few days ago.
Smirking, he strode atop the crystal coffin with a faint smile as he looked around at the guests gaping at him.
"H-He's not dead?!"
"Is he starting an uprising here?!"
"The insolence!"
His pompousness certainly left the hall in an uproar.
Not only was he alive, but he strode into the memorial hall while everyone looked, even standing on top of the crystal casket containing the commissioner's corpse!
And of all of them, Elder Fango was the most shocked to see Frank alive and kicking. "That brat is actually alive...?!"
He stared fixedly at Frank, as if to pierce Frank with his eyes.
The death pill he had given Frank three days ago was the real thing-Frank was definitely supposed to die in three days, and Stanley had even made a point to show that he still had the antidote earlier.
So how did Frank survive?!
The look of bewilderment on Elder Fango's face just then certainly did not befit the usual haughty appearance he maintained as an elder of the Martial Alliance.
"Frank Lawrence?! Why aren't you dead?!"
Stanley had sprung from his seat too, glaring at Frank in disbelief before turning and seeing the look of concussion on Elder Fango's face.
The death pill would have been able to kill even an Ascendant-ranked elite, not to mention that it was an ancient recipe that had been passed down directly between members of the Martial Alliance.
Once consumed, it was one less death pill in existence.
And yet, even after three days, Frank remained perfectly fine, leaving both Stanley and Elder Fango dumbfounded.
"Why would I be dead when you're alive?"
Frank chuckled in turn, still tapping his feet all over the crystal coffin.
"You. Come."
Then, Frank beckoned at a propman from the stage, whipping out and passing him the USB stick while asking calmly, "You can play a video
file on that LED screen, right?"
UMS
At the same time, Frank pointed at the giant screen behind Elder Fango, where a portrait of Geon Kramer was displayed.
"Wait, what?"
The propman was left confused, unsure of what to do with the USB stick he was given. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .
Stanley snapped right then, "Frank Lawrence! Your three days are over="
"Shut up."
Frank raised a hand, stopping Stanley before he could finish. "Stanley Durban, mayor of Zamri, you are guilty of conspiring with
Josh Dellon and the Lit
only did you fake the
Not
commissioner's death to frame me, but you also had him abducted and commandeered his men to attack me! How do you plead?!"
"What?!" Stanley's face fell at Frank's accusation.
In fact, it was such a bombshell that even Elder Fango was shocked. "What is the meaning of this, Mr. Mayor?" After all, kidnapping a commissioner and commandeering his forces were all capital crimes punishable by death!
