Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Fen Qin stirred her pot of herbal medicine while reading the book in her hand. She always made
something new in her medicine book since she was know as The Great Healer.
"Hmm... I'm missing something again." Letting her pot boil with the medicine. Walking to the cabinets,
seeing the jar of herbs on the top shelf. Fen Qin tried to get it down, but it then slipped out of hands
dripping and hitting the floor. Hearing the loud crack of the glass jar, Fen Qin sighed seeing the mess
with the herbs.
"Damn it!" Fen Qin knelt to pick up the herbs, but the herbs were all scattered and mixed with glass and
some rotting. "I have to go to Herb Valley and pick some herbs again." Fen Qin massaged her head
seeing how she had to go to the Herb Valley once more.
Her mind thought about how she was alone once again. Mu Shao Qing was now living with her
husband, Lord Yi. 'They already had their first child, a little prince. They have yet to have a daughter
but they still have time.'
It had been three hundred years since they had gotten rid of Ding Jia. Fen Qin of course, barely left her
little home where she remained isolated from everyone. Mu Shao Qing was so busy that she never had
the time to visit her along with Mu Zhengsheng who was like a brother.
"I'll get more herbs tomorrow. These medicine will have to be used for something else." Fen Qin went
over stopping the fire from continuing to boil the medicine.
The day rolled around quickly having Fen Qin with her bag for the day. Using her powers, she Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
appeared at Herb Valley walking ahead into the entrance. "Great Physician your here again." The
servants greeted her like they always did when they saw her.
"En, I'm here for some more herbs. Please inform your Lord that I came here again to get some herbs."
Fen Qin informed them. The servants now leave Fen Qin to her daily business as a physician.
Going around, Fen Qin knelt down finding the herbs seeing that they were freshly growing. "Hm, these
are still unripe." Lightly feeling the herb leafs, she couldn't use those herbs yet.
"Are you looking for Starbush herbs?" Fen Qin turned her gaze to see another servant there looking
down to her. Getting up, Fen Qin decided that it may be good to ask for help.
"En, I can't seem to find any."
The servant pondered for a bit then it clicked in her head. "You can try asking Lord Xue if he can let you
have some. He grows his own garden or herbs near his home."
Fen Qin didn't want to ask the lord mostly when she wasn't one for getting on friendly terms with other
immortals or higher status folks. "It's fine. I'll come back another time then. I'll stop by when the
Starbush has grown ripe." The servant bowed allowing Fen Qin to go ahead and be on her way.
Fen Qin went on getting other herbs beforehand. Finishing with picking her herbs, she had everything
she needed from her list. Going back home, she laid her basket onto the table. Spreading out the
herbs, she had to dry up some while the some needed to remain soaked.
Feeling her body shake a bit, Fen Qin held onto the table for support. Falling to her knees, she panted
heavy for a bit. Looking down to her hand, she could see it shaking. "Not yet. I need a little more time
to find the cure for her. I have to fulfill a dear friend's promise." Fen Qin felt her body slowly regaining
its strength back.
Getting up, she huffed out a breath and started once again looking into her book. Be it sleepless nights
or mornings, she didn't care. She would continue until she found the antidote. Putting all of the herbs
back into their little containers and pots. Writing down how much herbs she had.
"Sister Qin!!!!"
"Aunt Qin!!!!!!"
Fen Qin knew who it was, she sighed putting her book away. Getting up, she slipped the book back into
the herb book shelf near the herbs. Going outside, she saw Mu Shao Qing and of course her son, Luo
Liwei.
Seeing the small immortal come up to her. He had the same red hair like his father, but the sky blue
eyes like his mother. "What are you both doing here? Shao Qing, you have duties right now as an
empress." Fen Qin could see how Mu Shao Qing would still either avoid her duties or wait till the end to
do it.
"Can't you ever mention anything, but duties. I'm your little sister so you should at least think about
spending time with me." Mu Shao Qing walked up with her son holding his hand.
"You are a grown woman. It is no longer my duty to keep reminding you." Fen Qin kept her serious look
on. Mu Shao Qing looked to Fen Qin seeing how she never smiled very much.
"Sister Qin, why do you never smile?" Mu Shao Qing brought up the question. Luo Liwei looked to his
aunt who just stopped her movements.
There was a long silence, but Fen Qin just said, "There are times when you don't deserve to smile."
Fen Qin went ahead in bringing out some little snacks for her two guests. All sitting at the table, the
snacks were at the center of the table.
Luo Liwei went ahead digging into the snacks while Mu Shao Qing was bothered by what Fen Qin said
not too long ago. "Sister Qin, has something been bothering you for a long time. You've saved me
before. I do not wish to see you in this state by yourself." Mu Shao Qing didn't want to see Fen Qin
carry a burden or guilt on her own.
"It's nothing. What is your reason for coming here? Did you want me to read your pulse?" Fen Qin
brought you another topic which Mu Shao Qing sighed since that was one of the reasons she showed
up.
"You know me too well." Mu Shao Qing laid her palm out for Fen Qin to check on her pulse.
