The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 16 He will marry you, I promise.

Tihana sat down opposite Aiden in the office.

He was busy working on some files in front of him, not paying attention to the lady he had called to his office an hour ago.

Tihana was already getting bored sitting in front of him as he acted like she was invisible.

“What am I doing here sir?” Tihana voiced out but he didn’t reply her.

“I’ve been here for almost an hour now but you still haven’t said anything.” She said again with a slight frown.

“You should keep it low. As you can see, I’m very busy.”

Tihana scoffed staring unbelievably at the man in front of her.

Did he call her here to guard him or what?

No! She wasn’t going to allow this.

“Then, why am I here?”

“I asked you to keep it low, Miss Tihana.”

“But you don’t expect me to just sit here and watch you attend to files while I have loads of work to do in mine and yet you made me sit here doing nothing.”

Aiden paused what he was doing and took his gaze to her.

“And I’m your boss. If I don’t permit you to work, you won’t, so step out of it. ” Aiden glared at her and continued with the files.

“Okay. Can I go back to my office now?”

“No.” Aiden simply said.

“Why are you being like this sir? I’ve asked for forgiveness and done what you asked of me but yet it still feels like you’re punishing me.” Tihana complained bitterly.

Aiden closed the file he was currently working on as he placed his hands on his table.

“It seems you don’t want to keep quiet.” Aiden said already pissed with her and she bowed her head, not able to meet his angry gaze.

“We’ll be going shopping after work is over.”

Tihana was shocked at what she heard as she lifted her eyes to him immediately.

She didn’t hear him clearly, right?

“So get ready.”

“And don’t ask me why.” Aiden added.

Was this why he allowed her stay in his office for close to an hour?

Aiden Turner never seize to amaze her.

“You can leave.” He said again and continued with the files.

Tihana stood up about to leave.

“Make sure to send me the new methods you’re working on before closing hours. ”

Tihana nodded and opened the office door. She left and not far from the office, she bumped into a lady.

“Watch where you’re going bitch!” The lady yelled at her and walked away.

What a rude brat!

Tihana didn’t reply her, she just walked her own way.

The door of Aiden’s office opened again but he didn’t bother to look as he thought it was Tihana.

Blossom catwalked towards Aiden with a basket in her hand.

“Will you continue walking like a snail, Miss Tihana?”

Blossom paused her steps a bit surprised.

Who was he talking about?

Aiden raised his head up and when he saw Blossom standing in front of him, he groaned lightly.

“What are you doing here?”

“Who is Tihana? And why were you calling her name?”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Aiden asked surprised at her questions.

“Answer my questions Aiden.”

“I’m not ready for your madness now.” Aiden continued with the files on his table.

He had a heap of file to work on and he wasn’t going to allow a jobless lady hinder him from working on them.

“Seriously Aiden? You’re saying I’m mad?”

“Yeah. Worst than that.” Aiden mumbled.

Blossom breathed out, trying to cool off her anger and sat down. She crossed her legs and Aiden stared at her a bit surprised.

“I thought you’d get angry and leave.”

“Well sorry to burst your bubbles baby boy, I ain’t going anywhere. I am here to stay.”

Aiden scoffed and continued with the files.

He doesn’t care if she stays in his office all day, so far she doesn’t disturb his work.

“I got you food.” Blossom said bringing out the flask in the basket she was holding.

“I don’t need your food.”

“Why?”

“Because I’m very sure you don’t know how to cook and that food will definitely cause some damages to my organs.”

Those words struck Blossom hard but she wasn’t ready to give up yet.

“You wouldn’t be sure of that if you don’t have a taste.”

“Prevention they say is better than cure sweetheart.” Aiden smiled lightly at her.

Blossom would have been smiled at the ‘sweetheart’ if he wasn’t mocking her.

“You rejected my kind gesture of bringing you food on Saturday and now, you’re repeating it again?” Blossom scoffed out.

“I didn’t ask you to bring me food in the first place.”This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

“But I was only trying to help.” Blossom said softly and Aiden scoffed.

“With food? C’mon I know where to eat if I feel like.”

Blossom sighed and took the flask back to the basket. It was very obvious he didn’t want the food.

“So, what are you up to?”

“You aren’t blind not to see.”

Blossom rolled her eyes at him.

“I was thinking if you’re not less busy tonight, maybe we could hang out.”

“And are you asking me on a date?”

“Yeah. A friendly date.”

Aiden pretended to think about it and stood up. He brought his face close to her face and just when Blossom thought he would probably kiss her, he whispered

“No.”

Aiden sat back on his chair with a smirk after seeing her shocked reaction.

What was she thinking?

Blossom bit her lips hard from the rejection. She took her basket of food and stomped out of the office in anger.

He gave out a satisfactory smile. He finally succeeded in getting rid of the witch.

*HOURS LATER*

Aiden rested on his car, scrolling on his emails. Wayne came to him.

“Who are we waiting for?”

“Tihana.”

Wayne stared surprisedly at him.

“Why are we waiting for her?”

“I want to take her for shopping as we would be meeting grandfather soon.”

“Oh” Wayne muttered.

“But, what must be keeping her so long?”

“It isn’t closing hours yet.”

Wayne checked his wristwatch and confirmed it.

“Then why are we waiting for her outside? Shouldn’t we also be inside?”

“What’s the use when I’m done with work and it’s just a minute to closing hours?”

“But we’ve standing here for some minutes now.”

Aiden didn’t reply him as he just concentrated on his phone.

Tihana came outside a minute later and tried going through the main gate but was stopped by Wayne who walked up to her.

“Boss wants to see you.”

Tihana followed him to Aiden.

“Get in the car.” Aiden said and entered the car.

Did he really mean what he told her earlier about going shopping after work hours?

She also entered into the car and Wayne drove out of the company.

“Sir, why are we going shopping?” Tihana asked the question she’s been meaning to ask since.

“I told you before, no questions.”

“But I deserve to know.” Aiden didn’t reply and she knew better not to push further again.

The car was in total silence till they got to the shopping mall.

Wayne parked in the lot and they all got down. They entered into the mall.

“Welcome to Glams Mall sir and madam.” A lady walked up to them in a smile.

“Take her to shop the latest fashioned female wears you have and also shoes.” Aiden said to her and the lady bowed at him.

“Please follow me madam.” The lady gestured with a smile.

“Are you his girlfriend? Geez, you’re so lucky. I wish I was you.” The lady giggled and handfan herself

“Can you show me where the dresses are now?” Tihana said already bored with her words.

“Sure. We’re here already.” The lady stopped walking and pointed towards where the clothes were hanged.

Tihana was able to shop few clothes with the help of the lady. She made sure to check them out before choosing them.

They went back to the reception and met Aiden sitting there with Wayne. He stood up when he saw them and they all went to the cashier to pay.

“Your bill is $10, 000.” Aiden gave her his card and she debited the money from it.

“Thank you for shopping in our mall. We hope to see you again next time.” The cashier said in a smile and handed the bags to Tihana.

Tihana smiled back and they left the mall.

“Tomorrow evening, we’re going to see my grandfather. That is what these clothes is for.” Aiden said when they got outside.

So, he finally decided to speak about it but why were they going to see his grandfather?

“Dress well because you’re to impress my grandfather. I don’t want to hear any story that touches the heart.”

Tihana rolled her eyes.

“7:00pm is the time.”

“Alright sir.”

He and Wayne entered into the car and Tihana also made to enter.

“What are you trying to do?” Aiden raised a brow at her.

“I thought you were going to drop me at home.”

“Get your own car and go home. I’m your boss and not your servant.” Aiden spatted and Tihana closed the door back.

So rude of him!

“Wayne, take me out of here.”

Wayne who has been staring at the both in the rearview mirror, shook his head and drove out of the lot.

Now, she has to look for a taxi.

**********

Blossom sat on her bed as she hugged her teddy bear sulkily.

What has she done to deserve the ill treatment she was getting from Aiden?

Couldn’t he love her like he’d used to?

He was so nice and caring back in their childhood days but all that changed after he travelled. He came back to become someone she hardly recognized.

Her room door opened and her dad came in. She ran to hug him immediately and he hugged her back.

“It’s okay sweetie.” Her dad cooed as he rubbed her back.

He knew she hugs him unaware, like this only when she was troubled and he always tries to soothe her in his own possible ways.

He took her slowly to the bed and made her sit down as he also sat beside her.

“What is it sweetie? I came home and the housekeeper said you have refused to come out of your room since, even when she asked you to come down for dinner.” Her dad said worriedly.

“Dad?” Blossom called out slowly.

“Yes baby?” Her dad replied sweetly.

“Am I not beautiful? Don’t I deserve to be loved? Am I not worthy of love?” Blossom lamented with tears threatening to drop from her eyes.

“What are you saying honey? Who told you that you don’t deserve to be loved?” Her dad cupped her face in his hands but she wouldn’t stop lamenting.

“Just answer me dad. Am I so ill lucked with love? Why doesn’t the man I love reciprocate the love I have for him?”

“Is this about Aiden again?”

“Who else apart from him?” This time the tears were already flowing down.

“It’s alright. Wipe your precious tears, he doesn’t deserve it.”

Her dad tried to wipe her tears but it wouldn’t stop flowing.

“Baby, stop crying. He would love you.” Her dad said as he didn’t know what else to calm her down.

Blossom sniffed back her tears and faced her father completely.

“Father, can you do me a favour?” She said wiping her tears. Her dad saw this as an opportunity to make his little princess happy again.

“Yes darling. Anything for you.”

“You and Aiden are business partners, right?” Her dad nodded.

“I want you to make him marry me.”

“How do you expect me to do that? You and I know Aiden Turner isn’t someone who can be manipulated easily.”

“I don’t know how you’re going to do it but please do this for me, dad.”

Her dad sighed and held her shoulders.

“I will do something.” He said in a smile.

“Don’t just do something, make him marry me.” Blossom disagreed and her father nodded.

“He will marry you, I promise.”

She hugged her father and he rubbed her back soothingly. He disengaged from the hug and stared at her face.

“Smile for daddy.” She smiled and her dad smiled back.

“Now, It’s time for dinner. I’m sure you must be very hungry.”

Her dad took her out of the bed and they both left the room.
