The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

29

In normal eyes, she would have also played with them, but she was on a mission. So, she started looking for Ethlyn. She saw a dark room near the living room, so she slowly walked in. She looked here and there, and because of the light in the living room, she could see that there were a lot of books in that dark room.

‘This is a library. I guess.’ She thought. She unzipped her purse and pulled out the phone that Calvin had given to her to talk with her as he couldn’t mind link her. She switched on the flashlight and looked for the switch.

And finding it, she quickly switched on all the switches in the library, placing her phone in her purse. She turned around and found her mommy glaring at her, maybe because someone had replaced her darkness with light.

“Didn’t your parents teach you that you shouldn’t walk here and there in someone else’s house?” Ethlyn asked rudely to keep this little trouble away from her.

“Didn’t your parents teach you that you shouldn’t speak rudely with a pup?” Roselet asked, getting angry. She believed that she was a well-behaved pup so that no one could get a chance to blame her daddy for not raising her well, and the moment Ethlyn asked that question, the smile that was on her lips, and she fumed in anger.

“What the…” Ethlyn opened her mouth to scold her but couldn’t find the right word. “This is my house, pup.”

“This is also my aunt Reva’s house.” Roselet came back with an answer quickly.

“Both of you, this is my house,” Christian said, hearing them fighting. Roselet and Ethlyn looked up and found Christian.

“Grandpa Christ, your daughter, is so rude,” Roselet complained about Ethlyn to Ethlyn’s father.

“Finally, someone spoke the truth,” Abigail said and came walking behind Christian, looking at the pup whom Reva assumed was Zordan’s daughter.

“Daddy taught me to speak the truth,” Roselet responded, assuming Abigail was her grandmother.

“Oh, Really? And what did your mommy teach you to look around in someone else’s house like a thief?” Ethlyn asked in a sarcastic way. All of a sudden, Roselet’s face paled, and Zordan growled at Ethlyn. Reva quickly grabbed his arms because she felt like her mate might attack her elder sister.

“You’re very bad,” Roselet said with teary eyes and ran away from there.

.

“Rose..” Zordan was about to run after her to calm her down but not before giving the answer to the question that Ethlyn asked Roselet in a sarcastic way. “I won’t ask you whether your mother taught you to sleep with another man when you already had a mate like a slut…

“Zordan!!” Reva gasped.

“I’m sorry, mate. I didn’t want to say anything to her, but she crossed her limit by saying something to Rose, and I don’t prioritize my new relationship, leaving the old one.” He said and looked at Ethlyn, “And yes, the answer to your question is that no, her mother didn’t teach her anything because she was never there for her.” Saying this, he left from there.

Reva looked between her sister and her mate.

“You should follow him,” Ethlyn said and started leaving when Reva grabbed her wrist.

“I know, my sister. She can never be so rude with a pup. Then why did you treat Rose like this, Ethlyn? You, too, know that you shouldn’t have called Rose a thief still; you did. Why?” Reva asked, but Ethlyn pulled her hand away from her grip and left from there.

“What the fuck!!” Reva muttered and started leaving from there as well to follow Zordan.

“Stay here. I will bring them and will apologize on behalf of Ethlyn.” Christian said, stopping Reva.

“Okay, dad.” Reva nodded her head and looked at her mother, who was quiet the whole time; once Christian left, Reva expected her to speak, but she didn’t. “Don’t you want to say anything? Ethlyn has been changed from the day she woke up. Someone said it right that pain changes people. It makes them trust less, overthink more, and shut people out. She is not able to accept the fact that her pups are no more.”

“She will be fine soon,” Abigail muttered.

“I haven’t become a mother, so I don’t know about it but if you are saying so, then… let’s see.”

“We’re leaving,” Zordan said, entering the guest house, carrying a really sad Roselet.

“Why? What happened?” Lemieux asked, looking at the sad face of Roselet. “We were going to leave from the pack tomorrow, weren’t we?

“Rose wanted to meet her mother and she met her. I don’t think there is any need to stay a day longer here.” Zordan said. “Let’s pack her bag.” He ordered him to pack just her bag because no one of them had brought a lot of things like her.

“Zordy, I want to stay out,” Roselet muttered, not denying his plan to leave.

“Okay!!” he agreed and put her down, giving the nod to Lemieux. Roselet had barely left when Christian reached there to talk with them.

“I want to talk with you, Zordan,” Christian said, on which he just glared at him.

“Damian, go and pack Rose’s belongings. Make sure that we don’t leave any single clips of her.” Zordan said and looked at Asher and Astin. “And you both, go and inform the Alpha that we are leaving today itself.”

“Zordan, I apologize on behalf of Ethlyn. She shouldn’t have talked like that with Rose.” Christian said.
