Chapter 116
"Oh, why did you get tea?" Mandy opened the bag and cast a disdainful glance at it. "Vince, I hate tea!"
"Is that so?" Vincent walked back and took the breakfast. "Don't drink it if you don't like it. Don't force yourself."
Mandy pouted as her breakfast was snatched away. "Vince, you brought this for Tiffany, didn't you?"
Vincent didn't answer her question. He put the breakfast on his desk and went to hang his jacket up.
"They all say that you treat Tiffany differently. I didn't believe it at first, but now I do." Mandy propped her chin in her hands and stared intensely at Vincent's face.
"Vince, you're not actually interested in Tiffany, are you?" she asked.
"The first rule of being in the workplace is not to discuss matters unrelated to work with your boss unless your boss initiates such a conversation!" Vincent warned her. He pressed the internal line on his phone. Ivy picked up. "Mr. Lewis."
"Tell Tiffany to come in."
"Mr. Lewis, Tiffany isn't at her desk."
Vincent paused. "Where did she go?"
"I'm not sure. She was still here just moments ago. Maybe she went to sneak a break somewhere."
"Tell her to come to the office when she comes back."
"Yes, Mr. Lewis." The moment Ivy hung up, Tiffany came back.
"Tiffany..." Ivy called out without thinking.
Tiffany paused. "What is it?"
Ivy paused for a moment. Then, she smiled and said, "Nothing." She bent down over her work.
She hadn't delivered the message from Vincent. Tiffany would be scolded for sure!
...
Tiffany had only just sat down when she felt her stomach roiling again. She drank two sips of warm water to suppress the feeling and felt slightly better. However, her stomach was still churning violently.

Her stomach felt terrible. It was as if she had eaten something that she shouldn't have eaten.
She would fall sick a couple of times a year, but she had never experienced something like this before. Why was she vomiting out of nowhere?
Apart from vomiting, there were no other symptoms, either. Tiffany suspected that she had food poisoning from breakfast.
Vincent walked out of the office. "Tiffany."
"Mr. Lewis." Tiffany stood up. She thought that he was about to ask her about swapping seats with Mandy, so she said, "I don't mind sitting here." Vincent smiled slightly, and his gaze on her softened. "I'm not asking you about your seat. Have you had breakfast?"
Tiffany nodded. "Yes, I have."Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
However, she had thrown it all up, and now her stomach felt uncomfortably empty.
"Your complexion doesn't look very good." Vincent looked closely at her face. "Are you feeling unwell?"
"I think I have a bit of food poisoning from breakfast."
"Dr. Harvey will be coming over later. I'll ask him to take a look at you." He paused and said, "If you don't feel well, you can tell me." Tell him?
Tiffany looked up and met his eyes, which looked as calm and gentle as they always did. The look in his eyes was unreadable. Tiffany could only hold his gaze for about two seconds
before she had to look ove
Vincent knew that she had misunderstood. He was afraid that the others would misunderstand her too, so he said, "I'm the boss.
you're unwell, tell me, and I'll give
the day off."

That was what he had meant.
Tiffany felt rather embarrassed. She was the one who had gotten the wrong impression.
Ivy was watching, and she was annoyed. She had thought that Vincent would scold Tiffany, but nothing of that sort happened!
...
In the office, Alex was waiting to give his report. Mandy was bored with nothing to do, so she was examining the plates and cups in the pantry. "Mr. Lewis..." Alex began.
