Unexpected Encounter with my Boss (Vincent and Tiffany)

Chapter 137

Vincent drove to Nocturne Nightclub. He pushed open the door to Charles' regular private room to see him in bed with his arms around a woman. There was only a thin sheet thrown over them to cover their private parts. Still, the scene was beyond sexual.

"Mr. Stewart's still resting, Mr. Lewis. You-" The manager hurried after Vincent but failed to stop him.

Vincent didn't even spare the couple a glance. He strode into the room and sat on the couch before massaging his temples.

"Mr. Stewart..." The manager turned to see Charles had already woken up. He sat up in bed. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Charles waved a hand at him, and the manager left. He pulled the sheets higher up around the woman before getting out of bed and pulling a shirt on.

He walked to the couch and asked, "Weren't you away for a business trip in Chilburg? I thought you'd spend a few more days there."

Vincent ignored him. He kept his head bowed as he massaged his temples. He looked like he was having a serious headache.

"Did your deal fall through?" Charles poured him some wine, but Vincent pushed the glass away.

He downed the drink and continued, "I heard from Mandy that Mimosa's pregnant."

Vincent stopped massaging his temples and looked up.

Charles smiled in satisfaction when he saw Vincent finally responding to him. "I said you were interested in her, didn't I? I called it. When did you get her in bed?" Vincent frowned. "Watch your mouth!"

Charles had spent too much time in bars and nightclubs. There was now a sense of roguishness to him. Even his words were crude.

"Fine, fine. Let me rephrase when did you get together with Mimosa?" Vincent was irritated. "It's not like that."

"What's it like, then? She's pregnant, isn't she? You had the cafeteria drop the food prices and even arrange for snacks. Why can't you be open to treating her well? This isn't like the Vincent Lewis I know."

Naturally, these were things Mandy had told him. He'd been worried about Mandy doing something extreme when she realized she couldn't have Vincent, but she'd been oddly quick to move on. It was a stark contrast to how determined she'd been in the past.

Since then, Charles had been forced to listen to Mandy talk about Vincent and Tiffany for at least half an hour daily. He was about to lose his mind from the gossip, but at least he'd

gleaned important information from it-Vincent was serious about Tiffany.

"Be open?" Vincent sneered. "This whole thing would become an incestuous mess if I were to do that."

"Incestuous?" Charles' eyes lit up at the mention of such a taboo subject. He leaned forward with one elbow on his thigh, looking interested. "How so?" Vincent shot him a look. "The baby isn't mine."

"Whose is it, then?"

"It's William's."

Charles raised an eyebrow. "That makes you the baby's uncle, no?"

Vincent felt like he'd been stabbed in the heart.

"Wait, doesn't that mean Tiffany's your sister-in-law? Damn, things just got a whole lot more interesting! Why do you care so much about her if the baby isn't yours, though?¶t's hard to find such a caring uncle, I have to say."

Every word Charles uttered was like a dagger to Vincent's heart. It made him feel like there were gaping holes all over it.

...

After Vincent left, Charles stood before the window as he nursed a drink. He thought, "Even Vince has found someone he's interested in. When will you return, Bella?"

Suddenly, a woman's soft and pliant body pressed against his back. She wrapped her arms around him from behind and said lazily, "Please settle last night's bill, Mr. Stewart."
