Chapter 19
If Tiffany swapped cards with Vincent, she could avoid Jenson's provocative dares. But what about Vincent?
At that moment, Tiffany gripped her card tightly as her mind raced.
"Tiffany?" Kelly suddenly touched her shoulder. "It's your turn to reveal your card."
Tiffany took a deep breath and showed her card.
"Ha! Truth?" Ivy's eyes lit up when she saw Tiffany's card. Even Ivy herself couldn't handle Jenson's questions. How could Tiffany fare any better? She was bound to embarrass herself. Everyone else gave Tiffany a sympathetic look. She became even more nervous.
Glancing at Vincent, Kelly told Jenson, "Tiffany is the shyest and youngest one in our company. Don't make things too difficult for her."
"Shyest?" With a half-smile, Jenson eyed Tiffany skeptically. After all, she had been staring shamelessly when he had been making out with another woman earlier.
Tiffany knew that she couldn't escape from this. She had to accept the challenge since she had agreed to play the game. But she didn't want to offer others a chance to humiliate her. And so, she reached out to pick up her glass before downing it in one gulp. "Tiffany!" Kelly yelled. Her hand shot out to stop Tiffany, but Tiffany had already finished her drink.
"I chose to drink instead." Placing her glass down, Kelly felt a little dizzy.
Kelly was taken aback. "Tiffany, that was pure vodka. You should sip it slowly."
Vodka?
Tiffany was shocked as well.
She massaged her temples. It was no wonder that it had burned her throat when she'd drunk it. She already felt tipsy from just that one glass.
As she started to speak, her face flushed.
Sitting across from her, Jenson held his card. "Why aren't you playing by the rules? If everyone chose to drink to avoid the game, what's the point of playing?" Kelly said, "She's a timid one."
"That doesn't mean she could break the rules," Ivy replied quickly. "We'll let you off this time. But if anyone violates the rules again, it's a three-drink penalty." "Sure," Kelly agreed readily.
Tiffany was dizzy. Before she could withdraw, the cards for the next round were dealt.
Staring at her new card, Tiffany shook her head. She thought that she was seeing things.
It was another truth card.
"It looks like you can't avoid it after all." Leering at her card, Jenson smirked evilly. He flipped open his own card. Of course, he got the golden card again. Perhaps it was the vodka that gave her more courage, but Tiffany did not feel as scared this time. She flipped her card open. "Ask your question."
The atmosphere around the table became tense. Everyone had their eyes on Jenson. Nobody knew what sort of explosive question he would come up with this time. Tapping on the table, Jenson asked with a smirk, "They said that you're shy. So, I'm curious, when did you lose your V-card?"
Everyone was silent.
Tiffany's mind went blank. Her thoughts suddenly turned to that drunken, passionate night.
Ivy sneered with satisfaction as she watched Tiffany while gloating.
Kelly looked worried. Although her eyes were on Tiffany, her attention was fully on Vincent, who sat beside her.
Meanwhile, Vincent did not look at Tiffany even once. His dark eyes were locked on Jenson across the table. He had a slight frown creasing his brow, and he looked upset. "Don't you have any normal questions?"
Jenson scoffed. "We're all adults here. Do we even have to avoid the most basic questions about love life?"
When Vincent was about to respond, Tiffany said, "I don't want to answer that question. Can I drink now?"
This time, she had followed the procedures of the game, so nobody objected.
Tiffany downed another shot of vodka. She quickly got up before she became drunk. She said, "I need to use the bathroom. Have fun, you guys."
After that, she left the private room.
...
Right after she left, Jenson asked, "Who has the dare card? Show it to everyone."
Everyone flipped open their cards. The one who revealed his card last was Vincent. Glancing at his card, Jenson smiled. "Mr. Lewis, can you handle this dare?"
Vincent leaned back and shot him a casual grin. "Sure."
"Well then. I dare you to find Ms. Lloyd right now and say this to her."
Vincent frowned. "What is it?"
"Hmm..." Jenson thought about it. There was a devious look in his eyes. "Tell her that you've had feelings for her for a long time and ask if she would be willing to be your woman. Just this one sentence." Nobody said a word.
Before Vincent could answer, Kelly shot up from her seat. "Jenson, it's just a game. Don't overdo it!"
Kelly's overreaction attracted other
people's attention in the private room, even those who were not in the game. Even Ivy, who reached out to graba glass of juice, paused mid-air. She looked at Kelly in confusion.
Jenson smirked as he looked at Kelly. "You said it yourself-it's just a game. If you can't handle it, just don't join the game. Or you'll just make a fool of yourself." After saying that, he tossed his card onto the table. He walked to the window and lit a cigarette.
Kelly said, "Let's just stop playing. We can do something else instead."
But nobody moved. That was because their boss, Vincent, had not spoken yet. Kelly looked at Vincent. "Mr. Lewis, this is just a game. Don't take it seriously."
Vincent glanced around. Everyone lowered their gazes as his eyes fell on them. After a moment of silence he said, "As the boss, I will follow through on my promise. If not, how could expect everyone to

me?"
He got up. "I'll do it."
"Mr. Lewis-" Anxious, Kelly pulled him back. "You can't go!"
Although this was just a game, she was still very bothered by it. Especially when it involved Tiffany!
Ivy spoke up, "Kelly, this is the final round of the game. Since Mr. Lewis has made a decision, we should stop him. Besides, it's not really embarrassing. He could just explain it to Tiffany afterward. I believe she'd understand." NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.

Tiffany had been in the bathroom for half an hour, but she could not vomit. The alcohol burned in her chest relentlessly. She felt her stomach burning up uncomfortably too.
After checking the time, she walked out on unsteady feet to wash her hands. She saw Vincent the moment she opened the door.
Tiffany froze.
It was too late for her to retreat. When Vincent turned around and looked over, his dark eyes captured her instantly.
Tiffany steadied herself before walking out. "Mr. Lewis." Even as she washed her hands by the sink, she could feel Vincent's eyes on her.
After that, she turned and was about to leave.
"Wait, Tiffany."
Confused, Tiffany paused mid-step. "Is something wrong, Mr. Lewis?"
Vincent looked at her. He studied her flushed cheeks from the alcohol, which made her look adorable and innocent. Even the tip of her nose was red. Her appearance was inexplicably endearing to him.
"I have something to say to you." Vincent stood up straight.
"Go ahead." Tiffany kept her head down.
Vincent hesitated and said, "I've had feelings for you for a long time..."
Jerking her head up, Tiffany was in utter shock.
"Will you... be my woman?"
