Sam said, “Drop us off at the entrance of the village in a bit.”

Micah was surprised. “H

uh? You’re not going to the Clifford residence after all?”

Madison glanced at the two burly men in the distance. “So, Mr. Cooper went to call for backup?”

Sam nodded.

Madison blinked as a curious thought appeared in her mind, “Then, what about Dr. Jefferson?”

However, she wisely refrained from asking further.

At that moment, the thug who had just been slapped twice suddenly spoke up, hell did you punks come from? Let us go if you know what’s good for you!”

“Where the

Madison retorted, “Let you go? Are you dreaming? Or did you not get slapped enough and want a few more?”

Sebastian raised his hand threateningly.

That thug immediately recoiled in fear. Were these two addicted to slapping? They were completely unhinged!

He stammered, “I… I’ve got someone backing me. If you touch me again, my boss will make you pay double!”

Madison nodded and winked at Sebastian. “Right, I got it.”

They stepped forward in unison and slapped the thug’s cheeks on both sides.

The thug was left in a daze, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. “You… You two…”

Madison said, “I’m just testing if your boss will magically appear out of nowhere.” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Sebastian chimed in, “Me too.”

The thug was completely bewildered. These people were nuts! They were crazy!

He exclaimed, “My boss is Nefario Black! You guys are finished! Absolutely finished!”

Madison froze. “Who? Nefario Black?”

Seeing her reaction, the thug puffed out his chest. “That’s right! Are you scared? I’m telling you, it’s too late!

Madison turned to Sebastian. “Seb, this name.. Doesn’t it sound like it was ripped straight

out from a villain on a TV show?”

Sebastian nodded and said, “Yes, it’s from that recent hit crime drama.”

After a pause, he added, “The main villain, Nefario Black, ended up dying in the end.”

The thug was rendered speechless.

At that moment, Kenny, who had been lying on the ground motionless, slowly regained consciousness. Gritting his teeth, he struggled to stand up, swaying slightly. “Mr. Black isn’t someone you can afford to offend!”

With that, he pulled out his phone and waved it around smugly. “I’ve already called him. He should be arriving… any minute now!”

Ollie’s face changed as he realized the gravity of the situation. He urged Joli to get everyone to leave. “Quick, you guys have to leave before his men arrive. Head out of the village, but don’t go into town. Go straight to the county. Hurry!”

“Ollie the Cripple, are you scared now? It’s too late! Today, my brother and I will settle the score with your family and the northerner bastards!” Kenny laughed maniacally.

Ollie’s face grew ashen, and his body trembled violently. Kenny’s laughter grew louder and

more arrogant.

“Go! Get everyone out of here!” Ollie nudged Joli urgently.

Joli snapped to his senses. “Alright!”

At that moment, the roar of engines resounded as five or six pickup trucks came to a stop at the open area across from the Clifford residence.

A bald man got out from the first pickup truck, followed closely behind by a timid, scrawny young man. Three to four men got off from each of the trailing pickup trucks and gathered in a group behind the bald man.

At first glance, it looked like a scene out of a gangster movie.

Paul frowned and moved in front of Miranda to shield her behind him. Sebastian and Madison exchanged a glance. Then, they stepped forward as well, mirroring Paul’s actions.

Ollie was as pale as a sheet. However, he forced himself to stay strong as he shielded his wife and children behind him.

“They’re here! Mr. Black, you’re finally here!” Kenny helped Shawn to his feet. Stumbling, they rushed toward… the timid, scrawny young man behind the bald man.
