Outside, Caroline saw the doctor come out and hurriedly ran over, "Doctor, how is he?"
"He's fine, He won't die for the time being." Dr.Wilson hesitated.

Ever since she stepped foot on this Villa, she had always thought that there must be a reason why the man didn't let her see his face, that every time they were in a bedroom, he would close the curtains.
But after she gave birth to a child, she didn't think about it anymore. She also found out that the man would not even go out during the day.
He would always be in the bedroom or the study area.
She knew that he was a man with a huge fortune. She also heard him mentioning business matters many times.
He seemed to know everything about the outside world like the back of his hand.
Sometimes, she would hear him make phone calls about work.
However, he was always in the dark as he did all of this.
He hadn't touched her since their baby was born, and she was supposed to stay in a room outside but the servant asked her to take care of her husband inside. She had nothing against about it.
Now that she was staying in his room, she was more at ease.
The man suddenly fainted for no reason and the doctor had just checked the blood test results outside in a bright place, so Caroline had to confirm one thing.
‘The reason why the man was in the darkness was because he couldn't see the light!’
‘He must have some kind of rare illness that's why he is like this!’ she thought.
At this moment, the doctor's hesitation confirmed Caroline's speculation.
Seeing that the other party didn't say anything, she knew that it must be very confidential and she was not sure if it would be a good thing for the maid to hear it, so she thought of something and turned her attention to her.
"Marisa, please help me carry the baby.I remember that I left a delivery box at the door’ she reasoned out.
Marisa did not suspect her and went to the nursery to coax the baby.
Caroline immediately turned her attention to the doctor and said?'l'll send you off.
At the door, Caroline no longer beat around the bush.
Instead, she directly confronted Dr.
Wilson, "Doctor, tell me honestly, is he seriously ill?"
Dr.Wilson saw that her expression was serious and the concern in her eyes was real, so he stopped and said, "He is about to kick you out.If he is really sick, you should be happy. At least your child may not be taken away."
"He's Charles’ father."
Caroline said with a serious expression, "Yes, I am sad because he want us to separate. However, he is still the father of my son and I am hoping that Charles will grow up with a complete family.Even if I can't accompany him all the time, at least both of his parents are still alive."
Dr.Wilson’s expression changed and he finally sighed, "I'm afraid your hopes will be in vain."
"What do you mean?" Caroline's heart sank as she was having a bad premonition.
"He has a rare hereditary disease. His father got sick shortly after he was born."
The doctor continued, "The illness cannot be seen.If we really need to look at it, his skin will fester. Moreover, the illness cannot be cured.Even if it can be avoided, there is no preceding history of someone who survived this illness at past 30 years of age."
Caroline's eyes suddenly widened and her heart seemed to be tightly gripped by a pair of invisible hands.
Her lips trembled, "And now he--"
"He might only have half a year left"
Dr.Wilson shook his head.
"I'm his friend, but I can't persuade him.Actually, I want him to go to a medical facility outside but he said that no one in the world can cure him.He is very hopeless and just want to suffer. That man has a cowardly attitude. He already decided and it's useless for us to say anything!"
Upon hearing this, Caroline's heart started beating faster, "If he will go outside for a treatment, is there a glimmer of hope?"
