Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1286

seemed to see her as something special!

Sydney glanced around at the senior executives, a triumphant grin spreading across her face. She knew they'd side with her. After all, she'd been at the Medical Hall for years, her talent unquestionable, while Flora was just a newbie in the Martial World. Only Corbyn "I can't understand why Flora's claiming the prescription is hers... Flora, we've had our differences, sure, but accusing me of plagiarism? That's low! Are you trying to ruin me?"

She forced out a couple of tears, her voice trembling, and it tugged at the heartstrings of those watching.

The executives were visibly moved.

"No way. My sister wouldn't falsely accuse you of plagiarism, Sydney. Be honest, did you swipe her prescription?" Corbyn demanded sharply.

Even though he hadn't known Flora long, he trusted she wasn't one to falsely accuse someone. Plus, he'd always doubted Sydney had the chops to come up with such an impressive prescription on her own.

Tears welled up in Sydney's eyes again: "Corbyn, I get that you and Flora are tight, but you can't just throw me under the bus because of that!"

Sydney sobbed, "Please, elders, believe me, I didn't plagiarize!"

"Flora, if you're saying I stole your work, then show us the proof! Otherwise, I'm not letting this slide!"

Oh boy...

Is she really going to deny it to the bitter end?

Flora's dark, icy eyes locked onto her, a slow smirk forming. Sydney felt a chill run through her, sweat soaking her clothes. Fighting off her guilt, she met Flora's gaze, only to see the girl's amused expression: "Really think I wouldn't have proof? My stuff, even if it were trash, isn't for anyone else to use."

"Flora, if you've got proof, bring it out, and we'll back you. But if not, even with Corbyn's backing, you'll need to apologize to Sydney today and leave the Medical Hall!" Scott declared. Despite not being fond of Flora, he held a deep respect for the medical profession and wouldn't tolerate any shady behavior.

Sydney's hands, hanging by her side, clenched into fists.

She couldn't believe Flora had proof!

It had to be a bluff!

She tried to stay calm, but then Flora spoke up, "The paper I use for my prescriptions is custom-made, with a specialwatermark. If you sprinkle a few drops of my special perfume on it, you'll see a white gardenia watermark in the bottom right corner."

As she explained, Flora pulled a bottle of perfume from her pocket: "Lucky for me, I brought it along."

A special watermark on the paper!

Sydney's face went ghostly white. No way!

How did she miss that?

"That's why I called you foolish." Flora leaned back in her chair, exuding confidence. "You found my prescription, didn't even bother to change it, and just submitted it as is. Where'd you get the nerve to pull a stunt like that?"

"Stealing from me, Miss Sydney, ever thought about what might happen?"Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

"I..."

Sydney was struck speechless, sweat pouring down. She never imagined Flora would've set a trap with the paper!

"Sydney, hand over the prescription," Scott said, reaching out to her.

Sydney clutched the prescription tightly, too scared to give it up. She had been so sure Flora wouldn't have any proof, but now...

Seeing Sydney's expression,

everyone put two and two together - she had indeed plagiarized and their faces showed nothing but disgust and anger.
