Salute To The General

Chapter 3556 The Quartet War Pillars

Within the primeval forest of Mount Eoncrest, Shadowbeard and his subordinates had already started to act on their own volition.

After all, the vastness of Mount Eoncrest and its primeval forest was so immense that it spanned across the territories of more than a dozen countries.

In this vast, primeval forest, finding a single person was undoubtedly akin to finding a needle in a haystack.

Shadowbeard and his crew had no choice but to split up, each taking their own path. They knew that their chances of finding Nathan would increase slightly if they did this.

Moreover, within the primeval forest, countless members of the Curia, as well as the Gods, were also searching for Nathan.

As such, there was no time to lose.

Shadowbeard, with his imposing figure, strolled leisurely through the forest strewn with fallen leaves.

He halted, furrowing his brows as he surveyed his surroundings, mumbling to himself, "I was certain I felt a faint yet powerful energy fluctuation around here just a moment ago. Why can't I sense it now?" As it turned out, Shadowbeard had indeed keenly sensed a powerful surge of energy here.

Moreover, this powerful energy seemed to be unstable.

At times it was clear, and sometimes it disappeared without a trace.

He instantly understood that there was a powerful individual nearby, and it seemed that this individual was injured. Otherwise, the fluctuating energy would not have been so unstable.

He strongly suspected it was Nathan, which was why he hurried over in this direction.

Right now, he was wondering if the energy trail he was tracking had suddenly vanished.

Suddenly, a woman's cold laughter echoed in his ears. "Hehe, I intended to lure Nathan out, but instead of Nathan, I've drawn out an old friend."

Shadowbeard's heart jolted. To his surprise, someone was able to conceal their presence in front of him without him noticing in advance.

Moreover, after listening to what this woman said, Shadowbeard realized that the faint energy he had sensed earlier was actually a trap she had deliberately set.

Shadowbeard's face darkened as he barked, "Who dares to put on airs in front of me?"

No sooner had the words been spoken when a charming figure appeared behind a tree in front of him.

She was one of the Gods. While she had a slender body, she had the head of an octopus.

She chuckled. "Well, well, it's been a while, Shadowbeard. Your temper seems to have gotten worse! You're now daring enough to act so impertinently before me!"

Shadowbeard stared at the female

God in front of him, but what caught his eye were the sharp barbs on the joints of her hands and feet. He couldn't help but express his astonishment. "It's you!"

"You're one of the Quartet War Pillars of the Gods, Thornweaver."

Thornweaver laughed. "Hehe, it's unusual that you'd still remember me."

Shadowbeard was taken aback. "How did you end up on Earth too? Did the God King Medille send you? It seems like the Gods are hell-bent on exterminating Nathan." Thornweaver still did not answer.

From Shadowbeard's left echoed the charming voice of another man. "Hehe, Shadowbeard! All is well as long as you know that the Gods are determined to get Nathan." Upon hearing this, Shadowbeard was greatly shocked. He abruptly turned his head to look to the left.

Suddenly, an elite God appeared on the left.

This fellow was all skin and bones, but his skeletal frame was incredibly broad, giving him a rather fearsome appearance.

Shadowbeard was once again taken aback, blurting out, "You're also one of the Quartet War Pillars of the Gods. You are Feralbone."

Grinning wildly, Feralbone said, "You're right, but there's no reward for guessing correctly."

Shadowbeard looked at Feralbone and Thornweaver in disbelief. "How many powerful beings have the Gods sent to eliminate Nathan this time?"

"Not many. It's just the four of us!"

This time, another strange voice as heard.

Two figures emerged from the right and behind Shadowbeard respectively.

Appearing on the right was a

general, dressed in the standard

military uniform of the Gods. He was tall and formidable, exuding an aura of awe inspiring authority. He was none other than Valorax, one of the Quartet War Pillars.

Emerging from behind

Shadowbeard was yet another God, his figure bloated and massive like a small hilÊn his hand, he held anovelbin

cleaver attached to a chain. As his colossal body moved, the earth trembled, and the chain clinked and clattered.

This was none other than Carnifex, also a member of the Quartet War Pillars.

Shadowbeard looked grim. "Well, well. The Gods have really pulled out all the stops to eliminate Nathan, even deploying all four of the Quartet War Pillars."
