Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire

Chapter 435

For the last six months, Everett had been by Selena's side for every prenatal check-up. Each time, the results showed their baby was as healthy as could be. So how could there suddenly be an issue? And if there was, why hadn't she said anything to him? All those

months, she kept silent, secretly turning to Callum for help. Did she ever truly care about him at all?

Everett's mind was a storm of anger and disbelief as he awaited Callum, who claimed to be standing up for Selena. When Callum finally showed, Everett spoke with a chill in his voice. "Even if that's the case, it should be her facing me, not you. She shouldn't be pretending to care while carrying my child, only to run off with another guy!"

"Callum, you're chasing after another man's wife, stirring up trouble in someone else's marriage. What right do you have to lecture me?" If Margot was called the other woman, then Callum was undoubtedly the other man!

"You're just being stubborn!" Callum realized there was no reasoning with him now.

The two were at it again, throwing punches and neither backing down. Jaime showed up late, as usual, but this time he wasn't about to dive into the fray. He hollered from the sidelines instead. "Cut it out, you two! You're supposed to be like brothers. What's this all about?" But his words fell on deaf ears. So Jaime had to put on a helmet to protect his good looks before stepping in to break them apart. After some kicks from Everett and elbows from Callum, he finally managed to separate them, gasping for air. "Seriously, are you two ever gonna quit? Are you really gonna end your friendship over one woman?"

Everett shot him a warning look. "Jaime, either stay out of this or choose a side! Don't just sit on the fence!"

If he could, Jaime would have gladly booted them both out of the room. Why did he have to get caught up in this mess? If it wasn't for their lifelong bond, he'd be munching on popcorn, watching the drama unfold without a care in the world! But he couldn't let them keep at it, not when someone could really get hurt...NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

Callum wasn't any friendlier. "Move aside, this is none of your business!"

Jaime pulled out his ace. "Everett, Callum is Josh's main doctor. What happens to Josh if you really hurt him?"

Josh's life was hanging by a thread, depending on Callum's care. A heavy silence fell before Everett got to his feet, tore off his gloves, and slammed them to the floor. He glared down at Callum, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "Callum, if you're gonna hide Selena, let's see what you're willing to sacrifice for her!"

Fighting was never Everett's way of solving things. This was just his last shot to reach out to Callum, his brother. Since Callum chose to. disregard their family ties and

friendship, he couldn't blame Everett for being ruthless.

Everett marched out of the gym. Alex was waiting at the door, politely handing him a towel. Everett

Corporation, and also, go after the Colton family."

Alex was stunned, her mind reeling. "Mr. Everett, please... take a moment to think!"

The Bennett Corporation was already dealing with internal chaos, and picking a fight with the Coltons would do them no favors. Surely he saw that. Anger shouldn't cloud his judgment. Something intense flickered in Everett's eyes, hard to read. He didn't offer an explanation, just repeated his order firmly, "Do it!"

His presence was so overwhelming, Alex could barely breathe. She didn't dare protest further. "Yes, sir."

After a pause, something else seemed to cross his mind, and he added, "There's something else I need you to handle."
